Perfect location

This property's location is perfect. We enjoyed the awesome sunsets and the marine wildlife. The house is a little dated compared to other properties we have stayed at but it was very clean and we had an awesome time using the pool and hottub with a beautiful view of the Gulf. I would definitely recommend this property.

Marathon Gulf Front Gem

Our family and friends had a great trip. The house is located in an unbeatable location directly on the open gulf. Only slightly critical feedback would be that the kitchen could use a little bit of an update. But I would absolutely return to this beautiful property! Pool and jacuzzi were a big hit! Mary was very very easy to communicate with and made sure we had everything we needed. Thank you for everything

Perfect for families

Great pool, hot tub, boat dock with great water access. Supermarkets, shops, fast food local. Close enough to Islamorada without all the craziness and an hour from Key West. Plenty to do locally too. House was clean, fit our needs.

Amazing stay

Our family of 6 came down for a week’s stay. We had such an amazing time! Property was immaculate and beds were comfortable. Could’ve stayed all week without leaving. Hot tub and pool were just the perfect mix. We had a blast fishing and snorkeling from the dock. Mary and Claire were awesome hosts! Will be back!

Awesome Marathon Vacation

The house was exactly as advertised and all communications with the property manager were timely and cordial. Beautiful waterfront home with a heated pool (perfect temperature for weather in the 60’s and 70’s, a covered, 4-person hot tub (a perfect 104 degrees), and all of the amenities that we would possibly need. Next time we will rent a boat because the dock is perfect. Great location, too. We will be back!

Family Get Away

It was perfect!! Had our own aquarium right in front of us. We saw needlefish, princess, parrot fish, nurse shark with her baby, a few manatees and other fish. So enjoyed the pool and scenery. The only downside was the noseeums. When the sun went down, you couldn’t stay outside nor on the porch. Overall, it was a wonderful vacation and would definitely go back again.

Great get away

This property was perfect for our group of 6 people. The pool was nice and refreshing. The hot tub felt great after a long day. There is a gas grill on site that is in good working order. I don't think the website shows it, but there is a freezer to keep ice and or bait in the laundry room on the ground floor. Being able to park our vehicles under the house kept them in the shade and much cooler than of we had left them out in the sun. Everything you need is close by (grocery stores, liquor stores, bait/tackle, restaurants, shopping, excursions, boat rentals, etc). We were super excited to see the sunsets from this location being that ot is on the Gulf side, but it was pretty overcast most evenings. All in all, this was a great place to stay and I would not hesitate to stay here again.

Great stay, great location, great host

We had a great stay in marathon, highly recommend for families. Exceptional location. Fourth bedroom is detached, great for teens, perhaps not as much so for smaller kids. Worked out for us great. Mary the host is fantastic.

Family Get-Away

WOW!! We had an amazing vacation. It was like having our own aquarium. So many beautiful fish, manatees and even saw a nurse shark with her baby. The pool was perfect for relaxing. Our only complaint, which had nothing to do with house, was the no-seeums. They were relentless outside and also on the screen porch from dusk to dawn.

Family Keys Trip

This was the perfect house to enjoy a trip to the keys with family. I woke up each morning looking out at the ocean. You can fish as the sun rises, go in and eat breakfast, then go out and snorkel. The house location is perfect for a day trip to Key West and many state parks. You could easily relax, fish, and snorkel right off the dock all week and never need to leave.

Perfect for our family

Spacious clean large family home with everything we needed! The pool, hot tub was lovely. We rented a boat and the dock was perfect. The kids swam off the dock, as a ladder was on the seawall. There is 2 grocery stores and tons of restaurants within blocks from the house. Many activities locally. It was close to Islamorada with out feeling the cramped touristy feel and 1 hour from Key west, so its a perfect location for us. The property management (Mary) was very communicative and check in and out was a breeze.

Great place and property managers very responsive

We came to the keys with my daughter and her husband and 2 kids , age 2 and 5. Lots of things to do in Marathon for kids. The place is very convenient and good restaurants nearby. The house is a little dated as many houses in Florida are, but very clean and pool and hot tub were great we went in April and I didn’t think we would need to heat the pool, but we did. Property managers got it heated right away. We had a little trouble with getting the hot tub heated , but again property managers responded quickly and got it adjusted. A very good time was had by all of us. Thanks Claire and Mary

Location! Location! Location!

Overall we had a great time and the house was nice. You can't beat the location with great sunset view. The pool, hot tub, and dock were very convenient and very much fun. The house was clean but needs some updating.... especially the kitchen. With that said, we had a fantastic time and were not disappointed. It's a great house.

The house was clean and comfortable for all six of us, with everything you need to enjoy Marathon and the surrounding keys. We also enjoyed the dock, pool and hot tub; especially, after boating all day. You need to see the sunsets! Phenomenal!

Family Favorite!

We have stayed in many vacation rentals but our family agreed this was our favorite! The house is comfortable and well supplied with towels and kitchenware. As with many rentals, it has a little wear and tear, but it is very well maintained. The outdoor space is spectacular. I don’t know if we can ever be satisfied with canal front houses after being waterfront. The sunsets are fantastic!

The view made our trip!

We booked this property because of the amazing view. The house is older and has some deferred maintenance but it's all you really need. Nice pool, hot tub & screened porch. The dock is not really suited for a boat (only one cleat and on the open water so difficult with any wind) but is an awesome spot to fish & watch the sunset! The property manager was kind and responsive. The location was great. Plenty of room for our family of 6.

Tropical Sunsets

This property is gorgeous. Well maintained and everything works well. We saw Manatees, Dolphins, Sea Turtles, and did a lot of snorkeling. My 18 year old grandson purchased a spear gun and had a blast. Best way to get a fishing pole is from the local pawn shop. Sell it back to them when you leave. We caught a lot of fish off the dock. One group member was attacked by no see ums on the last day. She was heavy sprayed but not with deet. I would recommend deet as the other sprays didn't work. She was the only one affected. Depends on body chemistry etc.. Personally I only remember a couple bites for the whole week. Sunrise and sunsets, golden hour is the time to be protected. We all really enjoyed this location and the property managers were awesome.

Nice House and Location, but Maintenance Problems

Excellent location in Marathon and a nice house, tho dated. Toilet, air conditioning/heater, and faucets all had problems while we were there. Mary great to work with, but she is not well-served by her maintenance guy.

Dock wood polls Do not have any bumper guards on them. Had to load the boat at night so it would not get beat up There is no water hook up at the dock.

Awesome location!

First off, Mary the property manager and her staff were extremely responsive and I give them top marks - they do a terrific job!The location is awesome, you cannot beat the sunsets from the pool. You have ready access to the stores, bars/restaurants, parks, etc., that Marathon has to offer.The house itself was very clean and provided ample room for the seven in our party. Make sure to note that the lower level bedroom does not have indoor access to the upstairs main living area (and the other bedrooms), you must step out into the carport and walk up the outside stairs to access the main living area. This may be a positive or negative depending on who occupies that room as it definitely introduces a sense of separation from the others.Minor items of note - having rented many houses in the past, normally there is an accumulation of "minor neccesities", either from the owner, or left from previous occupants. What I refer to are items such as; salt/pepper/sugar, kleenex, paper towels, insulated cups/coozies (for drinks by the pool), etc. For whatever reason, these items were not present and required a follow-up trip to the store.Overall, we enjoyed the home and location, and were very pleased with the property management team and their responsiveness!
