Great place to stay!

Had a wonderful time staying at this property. It was exactly what me and my friends needed and was beautifully set up to accommodate our group. The owners were super helpful and communicated quickly and thoroughly whenever we had a question!

Amazing stay

The house was great. It had plenty of room and wasn't a far drive to most of Louisville. The hosts were great, answer all of our questions and ensured we had everything we needed for our stay. I would absolutely stay here again.

Great house and good location!

I was there with a bunch of friends for a bachelor party. The host was great and the house was clean and in a good location. It was perfect for our group of bourbon lovers. Would definitely recommend!

Great weekend in Lousiville

We really enjoyed staying at The Hillcrest house. It's a beautiful home and we loved hanging out in the backyard and the privacy of the entire property. Leslie was very responsive and everything was as anticipated. Highly recommend!

Great for families!

Grandma, grandpa, daughters, a son-in-law, a 4 yr old, 3 yr old, 1 yr old, and 11 month old! We loved the large couch for family time and cuddles with grandbabies, the sunroom became our playroom, the dining table was large for enjoying meals, lots of bedroom space, outdoor seating for bourbon and cigars, and grandma and grandpa had their own cottage!

Nice home for large groups

We had three families meet here for a weekend. We used to all live in close by but are now far across the country from each other. The house was just perfect and the kitchen has a wonderful array of pots and pans - more than I have ever seen in a rental. The ac worked amazingly well. It was a wonderful and relaxing weekend! Also loved meeting the property manager. She was so helpful and made check in a breeze! She was also very prompt whenever we had a question. Would definitely stay here again.

Needs a little TLC

Stayed at the property for a long weekend with my Mom, Sister-in-law, and nieces. Check in was easy with contact via email and phone. Upon arrival, nice parking for our two vehicles. Maybe I didn’t read the description of the property carefully enough, but I didn’t realize the hill to the property was so steep. Thankfully, we are all able-bodied and able to carry all of our items up the hill from the parking area. Outside of the property was very overgrown with the fountain not in working condition, decking had peeling paint and warped and rotting boards, lots of weeds growing up in the landscaping with debris in the yard. On the plus side, nice deck furniture which allowed us to spend lots of time hanging out outside! Inside, we were thankful to see that the house was clean with lots of lovely character! Once upstairs, we found that the door to the hall bathroom wouldn’t close, and therefore, couldn’t be locked. Also, some drywall had been patched in the bathroom but not repainted. In the on-suite bathroom, the sink bowl was no longer fully attached to the wall and was being supported from underneath by a shower rod. In the kitchen, the refrigerator light was burned out, a cabinet door was not able to close properly due to missing screws. There were plenty of dishes, eating utensils, coffee for the coffee maker, dish soap, and towels which was lovely. The location of the property is great with lots of nice options for food and shopping within walking distance.

Great Location, Great Experience

This place was the perfect location to be right in the heart of the Bourbon Trail and Downtown Louisville. The property owner was great with communication and responding to questions we had. The sleeping space for our entire group was enough to let everyone sleep comfortably. I highly recommend this property for this who are trying to experience Louisville in a nice location.

Great place to stay for the Bourbon Trail!

The house was greatness! Its located in a super convenient part of town. It was about a 10 minute / $15 Uber to downtown and about 40 minutes to Bardstown. We had (8) adults and the house had plenty of room for us all. The hosts were super helpful and awesome to work with along the way.

Great Stay!

Leslie and Wayne (property owners) were very accommodating and great with communication . And the house was fantastic. It was blazing hot outside but very cool and comfortable inside. I definitely recommend this house.

We enjoyed our stay at this unique 100+ year old home. It worked out fantastic for our group that was in town for the Kentucky Derby. The "cottage" worked out great for the younger adults in our group. The home is nicely updated yet retains the charm of days gone by. Our host, Leslie, was fantastic, checking in before and during our stay to answer any questions and provide guidance, if needed. A++++

Great trip!

Loved having the cottage for part of the family who like the temperature cooler. We made a wonderful family dinner for 8 and the stocked kitchen worked out well. Wish there was a hand mixer though. Thanks to Leslie for keeping me updated on the tornado.. even though it was fast away.

Excellent host

The weekend that we decided to travel to Louisville, a winter weather system was planned to move through over the state dropping over 3 inches of snow. Due to a problem with the water lines, we were not able to stay in the Crescent Hill house but Leslie's connections in the area enabled us to still be able to stay in the city. We got to enjoy the sights and sounds of the area and even took a bourbon tour. Thank you again Leslie for all of your help! We will definitely be coming back in the summer.

Great place to stay in the Vill

Property exceeded all expectations. Pictures of the property are accurate. Nice and cozy home, with plenty space and accessory's. Bunk house was nice as well. Outdoor fire place made the stay perfect. House backs up to a large field, so no neighbor noise. 5 Stars for the stay!

Nice place!

The outdoor space was great with a grill and gas fire you can sit around. The living room is big enough for large groups to enjoy. The house is a bit older and the bathrooms especially show their age. But the house has all the essentials you need and plenty of beds for large groups.

Bourbon Trail - Family get together

The house was great, Leslie was very informative and communicative throughout the entire stay. The beds were comfortable and everything was very clean. The cottage area was really cool (we kept the snorers out there). I’d definitely stay here again and would recommend.

This property is special because of its location and guest options. We thought it was so unique even before it was updated, with its great vantage point on the hill and the seasonal cottage, which turned out so cute! The property sits on a hill with a private wooded backyard that allows quick access to all the city has to offer. You can see downtown Louisville from the 2nd floor deck while also having a private BBQ with friends in the nice outdoor living area, with its decks and tree-shaded yard. Plus the seasonal cottage provides a private space for another group to have as their own just steps from the back door.

Two separate living quarters mere steps apart give guests many options for sleeping arrangements: the 3-bedroom house used alone can sleep 11, with use of the airbed and futon/sofa bed, plus the seasonal cottage with kitchenette can sleep 6, giving guests several options for sleeping arrangements.
