The location was perfect! Sunrise and sunset on the patio with beautiful views. Watched the dolphins from our patio. Property was well maintained and security was excellent.

Spring Break 2024

My family and I came to Orange Beach for spring break and although the weather wasn’t nearly as pleasant as we had hoped we all managed to have a really nice trip staying where we did ! The space of the rental and location made it much more enjoyable being stuck inside with a toddler for a couple days during our stay! Definitely plan on renting the same unit for future trips if available!

This location was great. My only complaint is that this condo really needs to be updated. New furniture and decor would really help. Also key pad so you wouldn’t have to travel to gulf shores to check in. Other than that our stay was great.

Hi Madora, the unit was recently repainted (2021) and also has recently replaced door hinges & knobs, plus a new living room recliner. The owner does plan on replacing more furniture and appliances at a later date. The ground floor convenience is hard to beat! It has a large smart TV in the living room, comfy bedding, and AMAZING views! We hope to have you back again soon to turn your 4-star into a 5-star experience!

Overall great stay

The beds are not the most comfortable. The TV in the master room didn’t work ( but it could’ve been Bc I didn’t know how to hook it up). The view and the bottom floor is GREAT!

Too many Roaches

We had over 20 Roaches during our stay. It ruined what could have been a nice vacation. The 3 bug sprayings did not fix the problem. The multiple attempts to plug holes did not work. The indoor heated pool was nice.

Several things needed some attention. The guy at the office upon our return of the keys didn’t seem real concerned with the things I brought to his attention. The man at the security booth was a jerk tonaome visiting family members.

Unit Review

We love staying at Seaside this wasn't our first time. The resort itself is great. The unit that we stayed was in very poor condition, needs lots of updating to justify the price that we paid. It also has a mildew/molded smell. I left with bleeding sinuses from this. I hope that they look into what is causing the smell.

Orange Beach Condo

This property is frayed around the edges. I had to contact the property manager to unclog drains, fix the ice maker, spray for bugs, and fix the lock on the patio door. The couch is "sat out" and furniture and fixtures need updating. The kitchen was well stocked. The outside chairs and table were low plastic quality and the beach chairs were rusted and broken.

Overall happy with our trip

We LOVE Seaside Beach and Racquet Club! We have stayed there multiple times in different condos and even a couple of the tennis villas. The property is always well kept! We were surprised to find how complicated the reservations and check in/check out process was renting from Gulf Sands. If you love the “old fashioned” way of reserving and checking in/out they are your company. If you’re the type that wants to just go to the condo and type in a passcode to get in, search further. The cleaning company/person left a bag of dirty towels under the coffee table and there was dirty napkins left behind the night stand, multiple light bulbs were out, but overall it was decently cleaned prior to our arrival.

Hi Ashley, thanks for your review & we are happy to know how much you enjoy SSBRC! Our rental office is where any guest stops by to pick up their arrival packet (contains custom door code, parking permit(s), useful condo info). We are located approx 6-7 miles from SSBRC on HWY 59 (Gulf Shores Pkwy - the main highway) in Gulf Shores. Check-in instructions are provided in advance to your arrival so that any guest is well-prepared and knows what to expect. This unit was recently equipped with keyless entry so there are no keys to return upon departure (yay!). Simply follow the provided self-checkout instructions and head on home, no stopping by the office (no keys to return, making it a breeze). We have no way to provide parking permits or info without the guests stopping by to pick up their packet. It is easy. The housekeeping will leave CLEAN linens for the sleeper sofa in a plastic bag. They did NOT leave dirty towels. A quick phone call would have clarified that info or simply open the bag to use extra linens. Thanks for the 5-star review, y'all were 5-star guests, and hope to see you back again soon!

Weekend Get Away

Over all, it was a nice place to stay. You do not get to check in early, it is exactly 3:59 when they send access codes. The master shower is slow to drain. The balcony door in the living room was very hard to lock at times. The lights didn't all work in the condo. The humidifier was nice, it really helped with the moisture. You can see the beach from the room. Location of the room was awesome. The fold out bed had food, crumbs, and trash. The tv remotes did not work in the bedrooms. Very thin blankets and pillows are hard! Take covers!

Unit needs updating

Unit was in a great location. Didn’t really care for driving to one location to get keys for unit. Definitely needs updating. Sliding doors to patio were difficult to lock/unlock/open. Unit could have been a little cleaner. Intake for AC had not been cleaned in a while. Dishes in cabinets had to be washed before being used.

Bugs!!! No response!!!

Bugs were a big problem!! Dryer took 2 hours to dry a load of clothes! Not alot of Kitchen utensils and pots and pans. TV controllers not working, drains stop up in front bathroom. The worst condo I've ever staied in. Will not be back!

Pictures does not tell the whole story

The smell of musty and mildew is over-whelming. We emptied the humidifier bucket everyday when it was full. Seen roaches dead on floor when we first got there. Everyday we seen live one that we had to kill. I wish i could post pics oh how dirty things are in this condo. Cobwebs everywhere bed skirt was so bad with dirt, no dusting done at all, the patio was filthy had not been even look at. We couldn't move to another condo because they did not have any more at Sea- Side and we had family staying at the same complex. So we wouldn't of been able to vacation with the rest of the family. They had construction going on at the complex which we did not know about till the day before we let to go there. Three days we had to leave the complex cause the noise was so bad in the condo you couldn't even talk. They are going to reimburse us 20% for the construction inconvenience. Nothing for how dirty it was and the infestation of roaches...

Weather conditions also played a role in your experience, which was beyond our control. Very Very Basic

If you want a semi clean and semi cold place this is it. No Amenities what so ever. The bed was semi comfortable, the pull out couch was thin and hard. We had to buy a skillet to cook with because the 2 provided were very small and unusable. The kitchen and main bedroom light went out the first day and couldnt be replaced until the next afternoon. Parking is not included in the price. Its an extra $50. They do not provide beach chairs or umbrella. That is an extra $30 per day. You cant have your canopy for shade close to the water at the beach, it has to be all the way to the back edge. They also do not provide any shade at the pool and will make you take down your own even though its not on the pool rules. The outdoor chairs on the patio were junk and broke while sitting in them, causing my husband to fall and hit is back. I did like being on the bottom floor close to the pool. However it was very noisy and the back sliding door wouldnt lock most of the time. Washer so small it will only hold 3 towels and dryer had to run 2 cycles to dry. Again very very basic. Will not be staying here again. Communication only through email.

We did replace the kitchen light and provided instructions for the ceiling fan light in the bedroom. We also replaced the plastic patio chairs as soon as we learned about the issue. Regarding the parking permit, it’s mentioned in our listing and is available for purchase on-site to offer the convenience of not having to make extra stops. We strive to provide a comfortable stay for all our guests and are available by phone, email, or text for any concerns during your visit. Great location, wonderful beach accessNeeds maintenance & exterminator

We went with our adult Son & our other Son & his kids stayed in another condo managed by another rental company two doors down. Their condo was obviously taken better care of, as far as cleanliness,maintenance, appliances, furnishings, etc In our 5 days we killed 6 roaches & saw others. As we were packing to leave one was in our bag on the kitchen counter & We had to repack in sealed containers, to avoid taking any home. The sliding door out back & the master was almost impossible to open, my wife always had to have someone open. We couldn’t use master slider, as you had to lift up & pull on it. The other condo my son was in had the same door & it was heavy, but easily opened. The checkin process was more difficult than it needed to be. There was construction & the office is not easy to find or easily accessible. My suggestion would be bypass office, text door code & leave parking pass on counter. This is what my son who rented from other management company did. Overall, we had a great time in Orange Beach, and I’d recommend this condo, IF they throughly clean, hire an exterminator to take care of the roaches & they fix the sliding doors. We’ve never stayed anywhere that had roaches like this, and I believe they will take care of the issue, since they are aware of it now. The location & beach access was wonderful.

Hi Stephen, thanks for your review. The buildings have routine pest service; if you encounter any issues during your stay please contact us so they can be addressed. We have contacted the building management to have it retreated (it was coincidentally due for routine service so they were able to get there same day). We are actively moving towards self check-in for our keyless entry units. This is the end of season and have scheduled for the tile/grout and living room furniture to be cleaned at the end of this month plus a deep clean. We have had the glass folks out to see if they can fix the door: they replaced the rollers and were unable to fix the door track. It would require the entire door to be replaced. The owner also has plans to replace furnishings & decor! Stay tuned!

Great location!

This place is perfectly located between orange beach and gulf shores. The condo was great! The check in/out process is annoying because you have to go out of the way to get the keys, but overall would stay again!

Over all, it was a good place to stay, convenient to have the first floor for our bikes. Nice view of the Gulf. Close to Gulf State Park - excellent. The tile floors and deck were not the cleanest and overall, the place needs more attention to detail. The management company quickly responded to issues, thankfully.

Convenient

Being on the ground floor is wonderful. We enjoyed our stay very much. The master bedroom mattress was not very good at all. On one side it has a lump which makes it uncomfortable to sleep on. For the price I wish it would have been more clean and better outdoor furniture on the patio. The check-in and our policy is frustrating due to you having to drive to the office and pickup/drop off keys. I wish it was more user friendly. Over all its not bad just a few little things should be addressed. We still had a wonderful time.

Mediocre property

The good: the oceanfront view and the pools. The bad: the bed in the master is terrible. Very worn out and uncomfortable. Everything needs updating and lots of maintenance. Smoke detectors were all unhooked, all remote batteries were dead, half the lightbulbs were burned out.

Hi, thanks for your note, as we appreciate all feedback. We are sorry to hear you did not enjoy the bed, as we've had no complaints prior or since your stay. It is only a couple years old and in great shape. Yes, the prior guests had taken down the smoke detectors, as it appears they set them off (they are interconnected. We did sent out maint to address any issue encountered and all were taken care of. The condo was updated with furniture, electronics and paint in 2020 and 2021, so it's updates are modern and current. All remote batteries had been replace right before your stay (literally all of them), so you need to press the device on the remote as it will seem like they don't work, as nothing was mentioned to maintenance while they were there and we are positive they were all new. Great Location

Great location for a young family! The first floor walk out made it easy to bring the kids back for bathroom breaks, snacks, and naps! It’s also easy to unload the car, especially when your wife packs the entire house for your eight month old! The view was awesome and it was nice to just sit in the patio and listen to the ocean! Would definitely come back!

Great vacation spot

Great location, and being on the ground level is extremely convenient. Condo has most of everything you need. And the beach is beautiful.
