Beautiful view of the river from a cozy deck. Cabin was well equipped with anything you need to prepare meals. Comfy bed. Nice property with a short drive to Durango.

Amazing place to stay in Durango!

We really enjoyed our stay at the cottage, its a beautiful property, and very peaceful and relaxing. The cottage had everything you would need for a long or short stay! We can not wait to come back!

Durango stay

This is the most relaxing location for a vacation. We loved exploring the area during the day and then relaxing on the patio each afternoon. The sound of the creek was wonderful.

Fall stay

This is our second time to stay at the Cottage on the Creek and it is perfect for a quiet relaxed stay in the Durango. After a day in Durango we love to enjoy a late afternoon on the deck with a drink and a good book.

Even better than the pics and description!!!

We loved our time at Cottage on the Creek! A cozy, clean, updated little house in an idyllic setting. So restful and lovely, it was hard to head out each day to see the sights. (But we did, because Durango area is great!) Wish we lived close enough to book time here a couple times a year.

Cottage on the creek

This property was terrific! Great views and very comfortable with a well stocked kitchen. It was peaceful and the owners are master gardeners so we felt we were staying in a Monet landscape garden. The owners were so hospitable.

Relaxing Cottage

Our stay was completely enjoyable and relaxing. We enjoyed the back deck overlooking the creek every morning with coffee and every evening with a glass of wine. Everything was comfortable and very clean. It was about a 20-25 minute drive into Durango but worth it for all the quiet and beauty. So many activities in the area to enjoy.

Fabulous Retreat

This was a great off the grid spot. Very comfortable. Loads of room for two people. Picturesque and private. Owners very helpful and knowledgeable. Highly recommend.

Cottage on the Creek is fabulous

Sweet cottage, well appointed, with spectacular views. Very peaceful and relaxing. The yard is full of flowers that invite hummingbirds and butterflies. Easy access to downtown and great restaurants. Our personal favs were Michelle's, 636 Main, and Cream Bean Berry for artisanal ice cream.

Gorgeous, peaceful setting

I have vacationed many times in Colorado and this was by far the best vacation ever! The cottage was perfect for two people. It was clean and had everything we needed. It is located in a secluded, beautiful area, but close enough to enjoy surrounding activities in Durango, Silverton, and Ouray. I would highly recommend this cottage if you are looking for a peaceful getaway.

Great place!

It seems like the owner has put alot of work into the property - roof, landscaping, etc. I especially like some of the other things like the lights on the stairs, king bed, upscale cookware, grill, washer/dryer. Good layout of the interior. We'll be back!

Perfect Weekend Getaway

Cute cabin that is the perfect weekend getaway location. Close enough to Durango in case you need to get any food or eat out but remote enough to where you are just hearing the creek and the birds. Cabin has everything you need, including a wonderful deck to sit and enjoy a beverage and take in the nature. Check in process was a breeze and only ding would be finding it can be a little tough and directions could be a little clearer on finding it. But we will be back

Quiet and peaceful

If you are looking for something quiet and beautiful then this is your place. We just loved the sound of the creek and overlooking it on the back porch was a great way to end the day. There was a lot to do for outdoor activity and the owner was so nice and helpful. I was very thankful for his hospitality and knowledge of the areas. There is no negative aspects to this house. It's clean comfortable peaceful and quiet. I loved it and would definitely stay there again and again 💕Kathy

An isolated place to stay

The place was isolated and away by itself, which I liked. Travel to and from the city was no problem. Place was clean but I would say a little dated. There were several times we could not enter the property with out getting wet due to the sprinkler system, but we didn't melt. I kept wishing that I had a blower to clean off the back deck with the debris coming from the near by trees. All in all it was as advertised and a comfortable stay.

Lacks equipment

We loved our stay. However: a six inch paper sign at the road not facing the right direction is not helpful. A number by the drive needs to be posted! We drove back and forth searching Must haves - A knife that will cut fruit, meat or chicken A can opener that works

Our Bit of Heaven on Earth

We come here now two years in a row. The cottage is so quaint and the setting so peaceful and lovely. We had only to bring our own groceries for the week as the cottage is perfectly equipped with everything we needed. The bed is comfortable and management is quick to respond if there are any problems. We've spent two days Jeeping in the high country and two days fishing( very successfully) at both Lakes Haviland and Molas. The leaves were at their peak this year making Last Dollar Road, Owl Creek Pass, the Million Dollar Highway and the San Juan Skyway particularly beautiful. Truly this place is a bit of heaven on earth!
