Calafia Resort es una comunidad frente al mar vigilada por una puerta abierta las 24 horas, idealmente ubicada entre Rosarito y Puerto Nuevo, ambos a solo 10 minutos. Disfrute de la playa privada, piscina, spa, tenis, canchas de baloncesto y gimnasios. Se encuentra junto al histórico restaurante, hotel y club nocturno Calafia. Este condominio decorado profesionalmente apareció en la revista Bajas Distinctive Homes. The owner responded very quickly to my messages and he was very friendly. The property was a bit dirty and it seemed like the beds were not cleaned from a previous stay, as there was sand between the sheets and towels smelled. It doesn’t seem like the unit has received recent maintenance. It was a good location but felt dirty.

The Coffee maker and the kitchen don’t work. It has a terrible smell of the sewage all over the bathrooms and outside. Everything is in bad condition. If you go stay there, take your own equipment. I suppose that if you pay to go to relax there, that everything would be working and that everything would be clean like it’s advertised, but it wasn’t like this in this case.

Excellent property and location

Easy check in. Very clean property. Absolutely beautiful views of the Pacific Ocean from balcony and inside the unit. Quick and easy communication with the owner. Will definitely stay here again and tell my friends and family.

Great place to relax with your pet

Really loved the fact we were able to bring our puppy. We loved the walks on the property and it was a great way to spend the holidays together. Apartment had some concerns with some cleanliness but nothing major.

Gorgeous property with fabulous views

I stayed here with 3 other adults and 2 kids and it was really fantastic. The condo had plenty of room and the master suite was fantastic. It had room for the aerobed next to the king with out it being in the way at all. It was well stocked and of course the views were fantastic. The pools were really nice and access to hot tubs and steam room was great too! Coming from Oregon my kids had a great time riding the waves at the beach while we enjoyed to sun. The rate was fantastic and everyone kept compimenting me on what a great job I did finding the place

Beautiful view

This was our first time in this area, beautiful views and weather! This particular condo was quite dirty, we could not walk around barefoot our feet would be very dirty even going from the shower to the bedroom. Also arrived late was looking forward to the hot tub and relaxing, all three hot tubs were cold. In general this condo was slightly run down

Excellent view of the ocean!

The condo had and excellent view!! I had a few problems 1. the tab drain water was back up. 2. water lift in the master bathroom was loose. The condo overall was good, it just needs a lot of maintenance, and a new mattress in the small bedroom.

Wow, Loved it!

Wow, Loved it! BEAUTIFUL space. The views are out of this world. We saw whales and dolphins from the dinner table, the bedroom and the balcony. Master bed was so comfortable, slept great. Condo had everything you need to have meals in, including a BBQ that we used every night. The complex is secure and the guards are very friendly and helpful. The grounds are very nicely kept. Thank you for such a lovely stay. Rose

Spectacular Condo!!!!

I was mesmerized by this condo!! Although I booked it based on the awesome pictures on the website...the pictures don't do it justice, it was so more phenomenal in person. The view of the ocean from everywhere in the condo was what did it for me. I love the Calafia property and was especially pleased with the dog park there as I brought my small dag with me. I am definitely renting this unit again over the summer when my out-of-town guests come to visit. I give it 5 stars!! * * * * *

Best View Ever

Bob and Lisa's place is the best! I liked what I saw on VRBO. But when I talked with Bob on the phone, I knew from his demeanor, he would be fair to deal with. He certainly was, returning our security deposit the day after we departed. From the moment my wife and I entered the complex, we felt perfectly safe and secure. The guards were so friendly and helpful. We didn't have a car and needed a couple of forgotten items. The head guard had a friend pick it up for us and the friend didn't want to charge anything except the cost of the goods. (which we wouldn't allow) The front door entry and back up system worked perfectly. Walking into the condo, we found it nicely decorated. The kitchen was well stocked. Great water pressure and hot water were a good thing. (a couple hotels after our stay here, we couldn't say the same) You won't find a more beautiful view. Enjoy the sunset from the 6th floor balcony, or walk the beautiful grounds and watch it sink into the ocean from a great area hanging over the cliffs. We loved waking up to the stunning view in the morning from the master bedroom. It's a great place at a good price. We will return.

Views even better than photos!

Photos cannot do justice to the glorious views! You not only see the 180-degree ocean view, you hear it, feel it, and smell it! Bob's home offers more than just a view. The furnishings are attractive and comfortable. The complex is quiet and secure. One surprising and delightful sight was a female boar grazing on the lush grounds. She even wandered down to the beach and foraged there. :) Although we would have been content staying at the condo, we decided to venture out and drive to Puerto Nuevo, where we enjoyed a fabulous dinner at La Casa de la Langosta. Our meal was outstanding, and the staff there were exceptionally hospitable. During our stay, we joined a friend, who lives in the area, at her favorite Italian restaurant in Rosarito, Betucinni's. We also ordered take-out from her favorite Mexican eatery, El Zarape de Rosarito. I recommend both of them. The 90-minute drive to the condo, from our home in Carlsbad, CA, was easy and enjoyable. The toll roads are well maintained and scenic. The return trip went smoothly until we arrived in Tijuana, a few blocks from the border, where we were involved in a collision. All four passengers in our car believe the collision was deliberate on the part of the other (local) driver. Make sure you purchase Mexican automobile insurance and review whom to call and what to do in the event of an accident. We were unsuccessful reaching a representative during our three-hour debacle; however, had we neglected to purchase Mexican insurance, the situation could have been much worse. Be cautious and prepared and stay calm. Enjoy your trip. Bob's vacation home is the place to stay.

Relaxing Weekend Away

Our weekend stay at this condo in Calafia was just what we needed to refresh and renew! The home is well appointed and decorated nicely. The views out to the ocean and sunset were beautiful. The beds were very comfortable. The community is safe and secure. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

I like the view, size of the property. I would expect a bigger pool for this for this place. The room could be better cleaned, i found pet hair in beds.

Nice Views

The condo itself was nice, the views were good, however when entering there is a mold in the ceiling that needs repair, There were no bath linens for party of 4 adults for our stay of 2 nites, 3 days, we thought we were going to use the kitchen more thankful we did one meal for the pots needed to be thrown out and the silverware was sparse as well as drinking glasses only 2. I had emailed the owner a month out regarding the pool and jacuzzi if they were heated, his reply was pool not and the jacuzzi obviously. Well, obviously not!! For it was less than Luke warm, more like cold for a jacuzzi. 2 days before arrival and the day before vacating the property I tried to get answer regarding a late checkout but he never replied to email or voicemail. We had plans early morn and would like to have eliminated a packed car sitting for 2 hours unattended open for vandelism. This was a huge disappointment for his instructions indicated we could contact him. We would have been better off in a hotel which we normally use, thought we would try this but it didn’t work out for us.

Im a retired fireman and my wife is a retired nurse. We bought the model because it was exactly what we were looking for. Its in a quite community located just 10 minutes from from Rosarito Beach Hotel to. the north and Puerto Nuevo to the south. The floor to ceiling windows maximizes the whitewater and coastline view. Its our little piece of paradise that we love to share with our guests.
