We enjoyed the access to the beach.I wish the information had spelled out the "need to bring own toiletries" to include "and paper goods.I would also advise the owner to place owls on the staircase to discourage birds leaving gifts for the guests.

Ok for short people

Although Golden Surfside is a nice unit, spacious and A/C works very well ( nice accommodations), there are issues 1) no place for groceries 2) bed in master suite 8 inches off of floor ( very hard to access, if old and tall.

Great family stay

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The Golden Surfside house worked great to our stay. We each had our own bedroom and bathroom and ample room to hang out in the living spaces and kitchen. The weather was a little cool and windy, so we did not spend much time outside, but the tables and chairs on the balcony were more than adequate. There is a coffee table in the living room with a glass top, and I recall another review that complained about it. More than once it got bumped and we would suggest that it be replaced. Kitchen was adequately supplied with the exception of cake sized baking pans. We struggled with getting hooked up to wifi, but after many phone calls back and forth, we finally got hooked up. Also did not manage to get the TVs to work. We would suggest better information and guides for both the WIFI and TV's. On the other hand, we had such a good time at the house, not having the TVs working was not a problem. We would not hesitate to stay again! The management company was very pleasant to work with.

We also have a big family which we had more than enough room. So with all that being said, you will be hearing from us again and hopefully we can rent the Golden Surfside .

The home was very well cared for , stocked with things we needed. Our only issue was the coffee filters were too small, lol, we took care of that. Appreciated all the space we had to accommodate everyone that was staying with us. Staff was very attentive to any need or question we had. A good time was had by all.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The outside deck was large with 2 tables and was a great place to view the ocean. The kitchen and den had seating for all 12 people including table for 8 and 3 barstools at the kitchen island as well as a comfy love seat. I hope the coffee table is replaced with something safer. It is heavy glass not attached to a too small base. It was not good for small kids and we moved it out of the den while we were there. We had a disposal plug up and it was repaired in less than an hour.

Overall a great place... BUT

This was a great NEW property. It was roomy. They do need more sitting room in the living area and the couch should pull out into a bed . We spent alot of time in there but had very little seating. The rooms had no place to put your items on. Also the up stairs stays warm all day and only really gets cool at night. We had to go to the local Walmart to buy fans for upstairs. Also things that normally are in a VRBO are not. Had to go into town to buy. So if possible bring from home. All paper products, seasonings, laundry soap and dish soap. We had to get coffee filters and on a side note bring your own pan. The ones that are there are awful and everything sticks to it. We had to get tea pitcher and potato peeler. There is just alot missing that normally is in every VRBO. And BRING bug spray!!! Where the land is low near the walk way to the beach. There is water standing and also near shower in back. If you dont spray RUN!!! We have never seen so many blood sucking mosquitos. We would definitely rent this place again but will now know what to bring. A alot more from home.

New house, well appointed kitchen but no boardwalk to the beach

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is a modern house that comfortably sleeps 12, more if you don't mind sleeping on a sofa bed. The kitchen is well appointed with a garbage disposal, quality dishes and serverware, 1 French door refrigerator, and electric oven and range. The coffee maker and microwave are also new and modern. Unlike other beach houses in this area, the kitchen in Golden Surfside has what you would have at your own house. The upstairs bedrooms are new and clean but lack furniture. The owners need to add dressers, mirrors and nightstands to the bedrooms. We just had to keep things in suitcases on the floor. The deck is nice, long and clean. I agree with other reviewers that the house lacks beach decor. The best things about this house is that building is clean, new, working bathrooms (no rust in the drains, etc.) and a great kitchen.There are two things two draw backs that travelers, especially those with young children, should take note: 1) There is no ramp up to the house, just stairs. This makes it very difficult to transport coolers and suitcases from the parking spot below. If my husband and teenage boys were not with me, I could not have carried everything up the stairs myself. 2) There is no boardwalk from the house. You have to cross an ant-filled grassy area, across the neighbor's parking pad to get to a swampy landing of stairs out to the beach. Besides being difficult to walk, it is also hard to pull a wagon from the house to the beach. The owners should build a wooden platform from the back of the house to meet the stairs. Yes, the house has beach access but it is not as accessible as other beach houses. If I had really young children, I would not pick this house because the swampy/boggy walk to the boardwalk would be unacceptable.

Great location and views from the house

It was a good property but lacked things we normally see at rentals like a pantry (no salt, no pepper, no cooking supplies at all but there were pots and pans and utensils) and the shower sliding doors would not even stay closed. All the dishes and cups were glass which was challenge for our 2 and 3 year olds. It would have been great if those things had at least been told us before arrival.

The place was really nice, the only downfall was the water issue. Inconvenient water issues.

The rental was easy. Inconvenient water issue, the water smelled like sewer. Needed a gate for toddlers too not go down steps.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This property had an amazing location and with great views and sunsets. It was a brand new house with all the amenities. There isn't any outdoor furniture so you will need to bring your own chairs if want to sit out on the amazing deck overlooking the ocean! We brought our own beach chairs up to the deck. With COVID I would have liked them to wash the comforters in between guests but I'm sure there just isn't the time. I washed them all upon arrival so I was satisfied they were sanitized. The sheets and towels came in a bag so we know they were washed and ready for our arrival. You have to put the sheets on the beds yourself which was fine for us. Overall it was a great place and I would go back.
