Awesome place to stay

This place was great! It was quiet, clean and in a beautiful setting. We loved watching the boats go by and zipping around in the ATV. Margie was a very helpful and personable host. We hope that we can go back again!

Amazing Place

We had a wonderful experience staying here. The property manager was very nice and helpful, also easy to get in touch with. The property was beautifully located right on the water, we saw many freighters pass by. The house was stocked with everything you could ever need for a stay, which is wonderful in case you forget something. We loved the house, it was absolutely beautiful!

Many happy returns

This was our second year staying at this property and we love it! The host is amazing, friendly and accommodating. They’ve thought of everything you could need while staying on the island. The house is clean and is exactly as it says in the listing.

A Most Relaxing Vacation

What a wonderful vacation for our family! This home was a perfect 5 stars, it was like walking into an HGTV home that had everything that you could imagine. We are a family of 6, with kids that range in age from 6-15 and each one of them said this was one of their favorite vacations! Being on Neebish Island removed the typical distractions of vacation and allowed us to completely relax! Thank you for the wonderful experience.

Freighter-watcher's paradise

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay on Neebish Island! Margie is a wonderful host! The cabin is equipped with everything you could ever want for your stay. From kitchen gadgets to kayaks and everything in between. It was exceptionally clean and Margie was very accessible to answer questions prior to and during our stay. The island is beautiful, freighter watching was awesome and the Cozy Corners restaurant is just a quick ferry ride away!

Amazing

Margie was absolutely amazing to work with and her property is beautiful. She goes above and beyond for her guest and had so much other things on hand in case you forgot something. Best stocked home

Attention to detail was spot on for this property. Had all the supplies you need and then some! Host was very responsive answering all question in a timely manner. You need bug spray for the mosquitos if you are planning on being outside after sunset in the summer but even that was provided by this host. Would love to go back!

September Vacation

Margie, the owner, was really friendly and helpful in arranging our stay at her wonderful house and property. Her property is on Neebish Island right on the West Neebish Channel. There's a wonderful green yard with a dock and plenty of waterfront to watch all the ships pass down the channel on their way to Lake Huron. You can watch the ships from the big house windows and a great porch too. We stayed six nights and only left the island once to have dinner at Cozy Corners which is a restaurant/bar just maybe half a mile from the ferry. Margie has kayaks, a side by side and lots of other things that made our stay very relaxing and enjoyable! We very much enjoyed our stay!

Beautiful property on secluded Neebish Island

We had a fantastic time at this property. Both the house and the property are large enough to accommodate 6 - 8 people. It is beautiful! Sitting out at the fire pit in the evening watching the occasional freighters go by was so relaxing. The owner is very nice, and made sure we had everything we would need. We brought kayaks and bikes, and used them quite a bit. We spent one day sightseeing at Tahquamenon Falls, but otherwise stayed on the island. I highly recommend this! We already booked another stay here. :)

Peaceful

This is a great house to stay at. Margie has thought of just about everything. Plenty of spices and seasonings and condiments. Fully stocked kitchen. We enjoyed watching the ships go by. This is the place for you if you are looking for a low key vacation. It is remote as in no gas station, restaurant or real store on the island. Ferry runs about every two hours except Sunday when it is more limited. So you need to plan your trips off the island carefully so you can get back. We had a great time!

Everything we could've asked for and more!

This little island getaway is situated right on the water and was absolutely perfect for our family of 6. My husband and I, along with our 4 teenage daughters, enjoyed everything about this home: the location, the amenities, the view and a bed for everyone...no sharing among sisters necessary! Margie is a wonderful hostess and thinks of everything for her guests; there was not one thing that we lacked...this property is stocked with towels, bedding, kitchen utensils and appliances, even kayaks, a bicycle, and an ATV that we were able to use to explore Neebish Island. We were able to communicate easily with Margie via text and were even lucky enough to meet her in person...she is wonderful! For the family that is looking to get away to a beautiful, off-the-beaten-path and super relaxing location, this is your place. If we ever make it back to the UP, we would absolutely hope to stay here again!

Most relaxing, peaceful vacation ever!

It's difficult to find something to add that the other reviews haven't covered. First, Margie is the kindest, warmest and most welcoming host. She truly cares if you have a great stay. Fantastic Communication before, during and after the trip. The house and property are beautiful. Exactly as listed (even better)! Margie provides all of the information you could possibly need. The home is stocked with everything you could need and more! We enjoyed the use of the ATV. There are kayaks provided for use as well. The firepit by the water was very nice. The bed was so comfortable! My husband and I really enjoyed our trip and will definitely be back! I looking for peace and quiet on the waterfront (watching the freighters going by was a bonus). We look forward to hopefully renting again!

Peaceful Island Refuge

Margie couldn’t have been a better host. The house was beyond well equipped with what you needed as well as what you forgot to bring! The home was welcoming, the bed was comfortable, and the view was wonderful. To see the freighters going out down the St. Mary’s River right in front of the property was amazing. The use of the ranger to explore was fun too. Lots of wildlife to watch, peace and quiet to enjoy. We highly recommend this rental to couples, looking for peace and quiet, as well as families looking for fun stuff to do in a great summer location. Lastly, Margie was the best host we’ve had with all of the rentals that we’ve stayed in. She provides every bit of information you could possibly need getting up to the ferry to take you over to the island as well as in the home and the surrounding area. Thank you for a wonderful vacation and for sharing your beautiful home with us.

Great time had by all!

We had a wonderful time! My Mom is from the Soo, so spent some time there. Margie was great to work with, and had so many extra touches that we've not found at any other Vrbo! We loved watching the freighters go by, as well as a couple of cruise ships. We enjoyed white fish and perch dinners at "The Cozy Tavern". I had a pasty from Pennys which tasted just like my moms! :) It was a wonderfully relaxing two weeks. Thanks, Margie

Amazing vacation

I can’t begin to say enough great things about Margie and her home. So peaceful and relaxing. Home is beautiful. Our dogs loved the large yard and playing in the water. We will definitely be back next year.

Relaxing & beautiful!!

We love this place!! Beautiful deck outside to eat. Great fire pit & place to sit right by the river to watch the freighters, pleasure boats, etc. The inside is so comfortable, clean & decorated adorably. This home has everything you could need, while on an Island. We are hoping to go back a couple of times next year! Margie is the best to deal with as well!

Relaxing weekend stay with beautiful view

My huband and I brought my dad up to Margie’s place for a getaway weekend. The house was very clean, comfortable, and well supplied. We enjoyed one day in Sault St Marie seeing the locks, but otherwise we relaxed at the house on Neebish Island and enjoyed the view of the boats from the deck. I highly recommend Margie’s place for a peaceful retreat from reality!
