The property was super clean. The host left a welcome basket (so thoughtful!) and coffee / tea for the morning. We especially enjoyed the convenience of the easy walk to downtown.

Pet friendly, great neighborhood to walk Riley. Location is great to Harbor Springs. The cottage was clean and the beds were super comfy! Nice TVs and easy to use remotes. That's a plus! We are not large people but we will say that the bathroom is extremely small and the shower is super small. Lake Street is somewhat of a busy street with lots of dump trucks going up and down. We visited local wineries, shopped, ate/drank and hiked in the area. Lots of great restuarants Riley loves the doggie beach at Harbor Springs!

The cottage was clean! It’s nicely stocked. Bathroom is very small, but usable. Only wish was an outside patio to sit outside !

Up North weekend

We enjoyed a lovely and quiet get away weekend at the Little Blue Cottage. It is conveniently located to everything in Harbor Springs, also Petoskey and Wilderness State Park where we spent time. The cottage is clean, very quiet and supplies were plentiful and clearly labeled. Mama Bear and Papa Bear would each have had their choice between the two queen beds, but alas Goldilocks would not have found her perfect mid firmness mattress. We opted for the firmer choice of the two and slept well. As mentioned by another guest, the shower was a bit small for a man, but the towels were plush and the hot water was fast and plentiful. We appreciated both Keurig and instant coffee were available as well as tea. Having ice cubes ready to go in the freezer was also very convenient.We loved that we could bring our furry friend, our 14 y.o. GSD. The yard was nice for exercising her and everything on one level for our senior pup was great. The hardwood floors in the living room were actually very slippery for her and when she lost her footing she could not get up. Fortunately we travel with rugs in the car that we brought in for her to keep her footing. Just something to keep in mind if your canine friend is in their later years.

Quaint & Clean

Our family of 3 stayed for 3 nights for a NYE getaway with our dog. The house was the perfect size for us - and our teen had his own room. As a dog friendly property, we found the home impeccably clean! It’s a small house, but had everything we needed to be comfortable. We did not walk to town because of winter temps & snow. Had it been summer, we probably would have. The shower is small for grown men, but the renovated bathroom is quite nice. Most of all, the communication with Maureen was excellent, and she helped resolve an issue we had (which turned out to be our fault, not the property or renter!) immediately and above our expectations. A cozy stay for the new year!

Fall Stay

Perfect place for a relaxing few days away. Location of the home allowed us quick access to everywhere local we planned to visit. We will most definitely return, hopefully with our puppy next time. Thank you allowing us to stay, we loved every moment.

Pet friendly Harbor Springs

Delightful property within easy walking distance from downtown, Lake Michigan and parks. Maureen is a thoughtful and responsive host. Property is very clean, comfortable and pet friendly and supplied with pretty much everything you might need. The wine and tennis ball were appreciated by dog and owner alike! Thanks for a great stay!!

Michigan Summer

Grateful to find a dog friendly cabin so close to family who live in Petoskey and Harbor Springs. We enjoyed walking to our favorite coffee shop, sailing and dining at our fav restaurants in the area. Nothing beats a Michigan Summer up north!

Lovely time in Harbor Springs!

Our family (including dog) enjoyed our stay here in early August 2024! The location was convenient to so many things as well as a quick walk down the hill into town. We were provided everything we needed while we were there, and we appreciated having a laundry on site! The newly updated bathroom was great as well. Thank you for a wonderful place for our family to make memories together!

This adorable little cottage was exactly what we needed for our first "dog vacation" with our one-year-old Australian Shepherd, Orla. It was just a short 15-minute walk to Zoll St. dog beach (Orla's happy place!), and we made a regular habit of heading down to the lake and visiting the deer park each evening. The cottage itself was super cozy and had everything we could ask for. We loved having a full kitchen – we picked up frozen pot pies from the Good Hart General Store and were able to prepare them at home for a quiet night in. And the washer and dryer were a godsend for sandy paws and beach towels, and the pantry/laundry area kept all of Orla's toys and leashes organized. It's in the perfect location - close to Petoskey State Park and numerous nature preserves - great for hiking and exploring. Our stay was short, only four nights, but it was absolutely delightful and cozy. We can't wait to come back for another stay!

We had a wonderful stay at the cottage in Harbor Springs! It's one of the most well-stocked rentals we've ever stayed in-- the kitchen has everything you need and there are even beach towels. It's very close to downtown Harbor Springs. The backyard is huge and we had a great time making a fire and roasting marshmallows in the fire pit. Maureen is an excellent communicator and even took the trouble to mail us something we forgot. Would recommend!

Friends Trip

This was a one week trip with my Friend, starting in the UP and ending in the Harbor Springs/Petoskey area. This Rental in Harbor Springs was really nice. It was very clean and had everything we needed for a 3 night stay. Both beds were very comfortable, which is hard to find in a rental. We felt very comfortable and safe during our stay. The house is located in a very cute neighborhood. It was very quiet at night.

My husband and I are originally from Kalamazoo, Michigan. We have spent time in Atlanta, San Francisco, Dallas, and Denver, but Michigan is home. Harbor Springs is a special place, where we have had some of our favorite meals, walks, scenic drives, and beach picnics. We are dog people, love to travel, and spend time with our families!

The Little Blue Cottage is quaint, clean, recently updated, and just what a family or group of friends need for a great getaway in Northern Michigan. When we walked in, our first thought was: this is somewhere we would like to vacation. Our home is situated in a quiet but central neighborhood close to downtown - a short walk or bike ride.

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

The cottage is spacious and open enough to feel warm and welcoming, but quaint enough to give you the privacy and comforts of home. We have equipped the house and decorated to make it feel as comfortable and accommodating as possible. The large but private back yard and short walk to see Little Traverse Bay are reminders of the beauty Northern Michigan has to offer all year round. We love it here and hope you do too!
