La casa se encuentra en Seroe Colorado, cerca de Baby Beach y Rodgers Beach, a unos 3 minutos en coche. Las playas Bachelor y Boca Grandi (en el lado ventoso de la isla) están a unos 5 minutos en coche de la casa. Baby Beach tiene algunos restaurantes y bares en la playa, pero no hay hoteles en el área que sea tranquila y residencial. Hay supermercados y tiendas en San Nicolás, que está a unos 10 minutos en coche. La casa se encuentra en un barrio residencial tranquilo y acogedor con una mezcla de residentes locales y extranjeros. Tenga en cuenta que este es el extremo sur (tranquilo) de la isla y está a unos 30 minutos en coche del aeropuerto, a 40 minutos de Oranjestad y a 50 minutos de las principales zonas turísticas del norte de la isla.

La casa fue construida en la década de 1950 en el estilo moderno de mediados de siglo como parte de la original Colonia del Lago, que era el área residencial de la refinería de petróleo Lago. La casa es una mezcla de características originales y actualizadas y está en un tema de 1950. Hay tres habitaciones, una con una cama king size, una con una cama queen size y una con dos camas individuales, todas con aire acondicionado. El dormitorio con la cama queen size tiene puertas francesas que conducen a la piscina. Hay dos baños con inodoro, lavabo y ducha y un baño con solo inodoro y lavabo. La cocina se actualizó en 2012 y está totalmente equipada con lavavajillas, nevera, horno y cocina de inducción. Todos los cuartos tienen ventiladores de techo. En el salón tenemos un televisor con cable y Apple TV. Ofrecemos acceso gratuito a Internet WiFi de alta velocidad.

La casa tiene un gran patio trasero amurallado con una hermosa piscina de 10 metros en forma de L que se puede nadar con una ducha de enjuague. Hay una palapa sombreada en el patio donde puede disfrutar de su café o cócteles al atardecer o simplemente leer su libro. Hay un gran patio exterior cubierto con una cómoda zona de estar, un comedor y una barbacoa. Hay 6 sillas de playa, refrigerador, toallas para la playa o la piscina.

Relaxing quiet location, great pool, large garden loads of wildlife. Kitchen brilliant had everything and more, all little details thought of, spacious accommodation, good communication with Caroline throughout booking process. Martha the manager was excellent, very helpful and informative about the history of the area, location of shops,etc. Great local beaches, definitely need a car to travel the island but there are so many places to see it’s worth it. We had a brilliant stay and loved it ..

First Time Visitor to Aruba

Everything worked out once we were able to arrive. Flights on Frontier made the process an Odyssey. We arrived a day late, but had a blast! We enjoyed Baby Beach and the local places to eat. We met countless wonderful Arubans. The pool was a tremendous addition to our experience. We will be planning our next trip with great anticipation!

Perfect Place!

We absolutely loved our stay. Baby Beach is our favorite. We had 6 people ages 10-74 and everyone loved it. The pool was fantastic for everyone, nice and clean. Beds were comfy and we all slept well.. the kitchen had everything we needed.

Family stay

We stayed 6wks and we were sad to leave. The location definitely needs a car, which we alreadybknew. The house was perfect for us, we all spent lots of time in the pool and patio. The house is very retro, which we loved with complete modern convenience. It will sleep up to 6 or 7, but there were only four at a time for us!

Spacious 60s time capsule

Wee enjoyed our stay at the house. The days get hot, so opening windows is a must if you’re in the house. The pool is great to have, and the house is larger than we expected. Plenty of room for our family.

Lovely house

The house, garden, pool and kitchen are all top notch. It’s within walking distance to Baby Beach, a short drive to other spectacular beaches, to the National Park, to the Donkey Sanctuary, and to San Nicholas. The house is located in a neighborhood that is re-gentrifying. I would expect that this area will be booming in a couple of years. We were lucky enough to be there during Carnival in San Nicholas, an unforgettable experience. There are a couple of excellent restaurants in the area. We vastly preferred our experience over the touristy, crowded glitz of the hotel districts.

Better than expected!

This is a great house if you are looking for a rental near a calm beach and are also looking for a private pool! My kids didn’t even want to go to the beach they loved the pool so much. The backyard was our favorite place to hang morning, noon and night! Caroline was great pre booking and during the booking of their property and Martha was excellent and very helpful durning our stay. We look forward to our next trip and will definitely keep this spot on our list of places to stay. :) thank you both for an excellent experience.

A Beautiful Property

This was our first vacation in Aruba and we couldn’t have chosen a better place to spend 9 relaxing days. This property is far (farthest place in Aruba is 1 h drive 😄) from all the touristy resort area, but not too far to access all those fun areas with a car. Seroe Colorado is at the southern most point of Aruba, about 30 min (at most) drive from Oranjestad airport and 10 min from the necessary grocery and restaurants of San Nicolas. The property is at a vantage point of 3 min drive from experiencing sunrise and 3 min from sunset!! Regarding the property itself, it’s a clean well equipped house for family vacation. The backyard is a gem with beautiful plants and a pool. Bedrooms are air conditioned but the family room is not, which didn’t cause too much trouble for us due to constant breeze and very good air circulation. Only comment I would have that the pool chair/recliner was broken and needs replacement. Minor issue that will not change our good memories with this property. HIGHLY RECOMMEND WITH 5 STAR RATINGS.

Prettig verblijf

Wij zijn een maand op familiebezoek/vakantie geweest op Aruba en verbleven in deze fijne woning. Ligt in een buitengebied dichtbij Baby beach. In een rustige omgeving met weinig toeristen. Huis is ruim en heeft een mooie tuin inclusief ruim zwembad, ideaal voor kinderen. Binnen zijn alle apparaten aanwezig (o.a. vaatwasser, wasmachine, broodrooster en koffiezetapparaat). Interieur is verouderd en minder prettig. Manager van het huis (Martha)is een hele vriendelijke dame die elk moment van de dag klaarstaat. Kortom; prima prijs kwaliteit verhouding voor deze woning.

Fijn contact met de verhuurder en beheerder. Heerlijk huis, afgelegen locatie met fijn zwembad. Hele ruime tuin en privacy. Jammer dat de veranda weinig wind kreeg, maar t het schaduwrijke afdakje bij het zwembad was wel in de wind.

Great Vacation

We love the location o the house being close to baby beach and the desert side of the island. Love the pool and the house had everything we needed during our stay. Martha the house hostess was wonderful. Thank you Caroline and Martha for a wonderful month on the happy island.

Wonderful Family Vacation Spot

This was our third trip to Aruba and first time bringing our children with us. This home was perfect for our family of 5. My son loved the “maid quarters” which gave us a fourth bedroom so no one had to share. Sitting under the palapa was heaven, the breeze was wonderful, it’s where we spent most of our time at the house! And it was so nice to have a pool to cool off in! The location of the home in Seroe Colorado is fantastic, exactly where we like to be. It’s quiet and the neighbors were all so nice. It was great being so close to beautiful Baby Beach, we could get there early and get a spot with some shade before the crowds came :) We rented a 4-wheel drive jeep and explored the island which I would recommend to anyone staying here. Caroline and Martha are both wonderful to work with, we didn’t have any issues whatsoever. It was a nice, relaxing vacation and our kids now know why we love Aruba so very much! Thank you!

Three Weeks in Aruba

My husband and I went with our friends for three weeks. For us, the house was perfectly positioned with Boca Grandi for kitesurfing and Rodgers Beach for when we just wanted to relax. The kitchen has every gadget, utensil and cookware you can think of, definitely welcome given three weeks of restaurants wasn’t tempting. Martha the property manager is lovely, super friendly and helped make our trip memorable. If we encountered a problem or had a question, having a manager close by was helpful. The house was comfortable for two married couples and all our equipment. We’d stay here again.

Going homenaje go hope again

This was our second time renting this property. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and stay in Seroe Colorado.. It turns out you can go home again. Martha, the property manager, was very attentive and helpful. Bed rooms are air conditioned but the living room is not. Can be quite warm but the palapa and the pool are a great escape,

Great experience

The house is so comfortable and the kitchen so well equipped. The covered outdoor seating and dining area meant we spent most of our time outdoors enjoying the Aruba breeze and the pool. We enjoyed being in a very quiet part of the island and in the old Lago colony where my father grew up. If you want nightlife or a lot of restaurant options, this is not the house for you. We had a wonderful stay.

Escape From Winter

We had a wonderful time in this home. Martha was great. The kitchen was very well stocked and after I learned how to use the cooktop it went well. Loved the pool and Baby Beach is very close and wonderful. The only real issue I had was the beds. I know some people like firm mattresses and if you do, you definitely would love it. Especially the master king size bed. I could not sleep on either the king or the queen and ended up sleeping on one of the twins. Still the vacation was wonderful. We stayed for 7 glorious weeks. Thanks so much for letting us enjoy this wonderful home!

Quiet area

We loved this area of Aruba. Less hustle and more relaxing location. House was perfect for our family. Well stocked. Great back yard. Area has some houses that are older and in need of some repair. This area is one that you will want to stick up your groceries and relax.

Perfectly maintained, ideal location, well appointed kitchen, lovely pool, GREAT communication

This was our 10th or 11th trip to Aruba. We started staying over in Malmok and quickly discovered we were taking the 40 minute ride to the other side everyday because it’s away from the crowds and much more relaxing. We were met by the property manager who assured we were familiar with the area and where to find everything in the house. After renting a ton of homes we have learned that the kitchens always lacked so many of the essentials or were so beat up that items weren’t usable. So we packed kitchen shears, can opener, etc, etc and never had to use any of it. The kitchen is STOCKED! Great cookware, knives, utensils, blender, electric skillet, even an immersion blender. We cook most of our meals so this made life real easy. The 3 bedrooms that are a part of the main house are nice. There’s a bonus 4th bedroom and extra shower in what used to be a maids quarters that created a nice setup for my teen son. The front and back landscaping is perfect and VERY WELL maintained. There’s not a single weed or anything growing on the property that was not there by design. The pool was very clean and found the house to be spotless. A neat treasure is that there is a cavern in the neighborhood. Very neat to explore. Can’t wait to stay again.

Tranquil and very traditional colony property. All the amenities you could ask for. Great pool and and outdoor space . Cold air conditioning and hot showers. We slept like logs after long days at baby beach.we will be back with our grandchildren

Unexpectedly amazing!

What an incredible home to enjoy all the wonderful attributes of Aruba! Let's start with the home and the back yard, both perfectly appointed for visitors - from the kitchen with everything you need to cook in to the large bedrooms with ample storage to the paradise haven of a back yard. Aruba is a breezy island and the back yard with the perfect pool is a glorious relaxation zone with ample space to both enjoy the sun, the shade, the breeze, the pool! It was the perfect place to start the morning and even better to end a day from the beach before dinner....(as well as evening swims before bed!) Martha was the most gracious host, making our stay truly enjoyable and memorable. The island has much to offer between beaches, national park, activities, great food. The longer you stay, the more comfortable you can get to explore all the beauty of the island. We enjoyed being so close to the southern tip of the island, with great running trails up the hill to the south lighthouse/radar station and around to Baby and Rodgers Beach! We had a morning running buddy, Susie/Foxy, the dingo dog who brought us great joy with her company and her loving demeanor! She joined us on our morning runs for the full four miles! We are not resort travelers and prefer a more authentic experience to the culture of an island. This home and its neighborhood and people provided the best experience for our travel.
