Great location and view!

We stayed here for an end of summer vacation with family and loved it. The house is in a great location with a great view of the beach! It's a nice gated community so there were fewer people and traffic like some of the other areas on Crystal Beach. Really enjoyed our time and the hosts were very nice.

Home was beautifully decorated with comfortable beds, but was not ready for our stay. The elevator was unusable and no accessible water hose downstairs. This home is dated and needs some TLC.

Perfect 4th of July

Wow!!!! The property was amazing! We went as a family to enjoy popping off fireworks on the beach- I had fears of crowds/ safety/ weather: all to say it was the most perfect 4th of JULY ever!!!! Not crowded/ and watched AMAZING fireworks for over 4 hours!!!! Just beautiful! The house has the Best floor plan ever for a group and being all one level was a huge plus for us! I hope we get to revisit the property and beach on the 4th next year too!!!! C- your amazing hand painted murals and custom pillows/ decor was absolutely stunning and I really appreciate the super quick response times for all my crazy questions. You two do it right!!!!! What a wonderful holiday weekend- thank you both for sharing your property!!!! Mary B

Great House, met all expectations and then some

Loved our stay! The house was great, We loved that it is large enough where if we wanted to gather together as a family, there’s plenty of room (family of seven) for us to sit together or lots of separate spaces to split off to have some privacy or spend some time alone. The house is very well stocked with cooking appliances and tools, dishes and linens and towels… and more. My only hesitation as to booking again is that the beach is not directly accessible from the back yard of the house. Not a big deal, there are bridges you can walk or drive a glad cart on that aren’t far away, but this was the one thing I wished was a little different. Truly a great stay! And the owner was excellent with communication.

2nd time to stay

This was our second time to stay at this beach house. We loved it just as much the second time around! The house was clean, had all the amenities and the nicest owners! Ted was actually there to greet us when we arrived. He gave us some restaurant recommendations and was just so accommodating. There are quite a few new places to eat in Crystal beach. The views from the house are amazing. Lots of natural light. The a/c worked well and there was plenty of room for two families plus some extra teenage boys. The location is great! We did rent a golf cart to go back and forth to the beach. The neighborhood was very quiet and felt very safe. Plenty of parking at the house and the outdoor showers came in handy at the end of the day with washing off the sand. There is a huge dining table that sat all of us for meals and games. We would definitely stay a third time!

Perfect place but not perfect time!

Everything is wonderful except the weather. Due to the effect of Alberto storm, the water was brown and the wind was crazy. Hopefully, the next time we go here, the weather is nice. The hosts are very friendly and super quickly responded. Thank you for giving us a good time at your house.

Best Getaway Ever

Cheryl and Ted were the best hosts that we have ever experienced! Their house is very clean and organized, it has a beautiful view and they went out of their way to make sure we felt at home and had everything we needed. Cheryl even baked us a homemade strawberry pie which was delicious! Thank you Cheryl and Ted for making this a memorable vacation for my family!

Beautiful serene beachfront

Our family stayed here for 3 nights in March (2 adults, 2 kids and our dog). We had a wonderful time. This home is on the Bolivar Peninsula, which was almost empty this time of year. The beach felt totally private. One day we took the ferry over to Galveston - we're glad we did, but prepare for very long waits at the ferry. We wouldn't do it again when we come back. This is a very quiet, very relaxing beach home.

Beach Luxury

The house was just beautiful and so many different spaces to either be together as a group or get away from the group and enjoy some alone time. Quiet neighborhood. Beautiful beach.

A quiet retreat at the beach

This was just what we wanted, to get away from it all. The home was perfect for us. We enjoyed the spacious deck, the short walk to the beach, and many extras like sand pails and boogie boards. Oh, and thank you for the bottle of wine waiting for us at check-in!

Staying at the "Golden Opportunity"

This was our first time staying at Bolivar and we enjoyed every minute of it! Ted was very helpful and guided us through the process. The property was VERY clean and spacious. We had access to the beach and walked there every morning and evening just relaxing and getting away from the business of Houston. The residents in the gated community were very friendly and from what we saw, they were all familes like us which is what we wanted instead of too many younger college kids partying all hours of the night like in other places. We will be back in the future and thank Ted Lis for his hospitality!

Peaceful quiet neighborhood

Beautiful house in a very quiet neighborhood with plenty of bathrooms. Beachfront with access bridge just down the block. We rented a golf cart to make our trips easy back and forth to the beach. Easy check in and check out. Ted and Cheryl were very accommodating. Would love to return to this property !

Wonderful Bolivar Stay and Amazing Beachfront

We had a great time at this amazing beachfront property. First off, the owners were very kind and welcoming as we arrived and had us all set up. The home was exactly as pictured, and in some regards even better. We enjoyed several days at the beach (although unseasonably cold for the gulf coast, not anyone's fault), but great memories were made. While it is an easy walk to the sand, I rented a golf cart separately which was fun for the kids and saved us from hauling all our beach gear by food. I highly recommend this great spot, and thank you to the owners for being so kind.

Great views

The sand dunes are rather thick and so “water front” isn’t exactly possible but the bridges were easy to access. We had the beach pretty much to ourselves. The owners are helpful and the house was full of items to use incase you forgot something. In some cases alittle full with not much space to put your own items but we made it work. We were thankful to find vinegar and baking soda to use when we encountered jellyfish in the ocean. The elevator was handy to load and unload items to the house. It was nice to have biggie boards and beach chairs available to use. Overall great stay and felt homey and comfortable with kids and not afraid to mess something up.

Fabulous week at the beach!

The house is in a beautiful and quiet neighborhood. We had a gorgeous view of the ocean from an extremely large back deck. The house is decorated so nicely yet comfortable. There was plenty of room for the eight of us to spread out and come together as a group. There were so many things provided for us that we usually have to go to the store to purchase. They have a fully stocked kitchen (dishes, pots, pans, etc.)The beds were comfortable. The bathrooms are a great size and nothing ever felt cramped. There were plenty of beach and bath towels. The beach chairs that were provided were great. There were toys for children if you needed them. The owners were quick to answer any questions we had by text. I highly recommend staying here and we hope to again soon!

Memorial Day to Remember

The house was beautiful. The owners very polite. They met us at the house and walked us through their beautiful property. The house was right on the beach with a view to die for.

After relocating our family from Chicago to Houston in the late 90's to say good-bye to those long hard winters, we one day stumbled upon this beautiful beach along the Texas coast. It became a dream to some day build a home near the beach. We love spending our free time at the beach. There is always a cool breeze off the water and we love the soft sand in our feet. During the summer the gulf water can get as warm as a bathtub. We enjoy watching the sunrise over the gulf and the changing tides. Fishing is always a nice challenge. Family time is wonderful at the beach !

This neighbor is very family friendly, and many generations come to visit. The homes are nicely spaced and the beach is very wide. There is plenty of room for your family. It is very relaxing to view the beach and waves right from the home. Beachfront is definitely the best way to enjoy the beautiful gulf coast !

We designed this home to see the beach from as many rooms as possible. It allows for family togetherness and space for oneself. It has high ceilings and archways. There are designer touches throughout. Spectacular views, make sure to catch the sunrise. Many guests return annually, they love the beach and relaxing in our home.
