Esta casa de tres dormitorios y tres baños tiene su propia piscina climatizada privada y está a solo unos pasos de una de las mejores playas de Saint Simons. Hay dos camas individuales ubicadas a cada lado de la terraza acristalada al entrar por la puerta principal. La habitación de huéspedes # 1 tiene dos camas individuales, la habitación de huéspedes # 2 tiene una cama Queen. Fortunately we know the area well , as we have been coming here for some 42 years. We love the island and had organised boat trips, fishing trips and spent a lot of time over at the Cloisters . A great part of the world with fun restaurants like the Crab Shack with really nice friendly people.

Charming cottage & wonderful stay!

This cottage was the perfect stay with the best location. We loved the pool and quick walk to the beach. The property manager was very responsive & a pleasure to work with. We look forward to returning to this cottage on SSI in the future!

We had a GREAT stay and will definitely be back!!! Close to the beach and we biked to restaurants in the evening with both our kids with a bike trailer! Having the pool was great too!!!

Family Wedding

We stayed at this property for a family wedding, we were a multi-generational group and it met all of our needs. The kids and grandpa especially loved the pool and hot tub!

East Beach Cottage

Our family of 8, grand parents, our son and wife with kids enjoyed the pool and beach. Cottage in great location but is a little dated. One bath had a small leak under sink but overall a great weekend.

Best location!

Great location! We’ve stayed at this house many times over the years and always circle back to it because the location is just perfect. Easy to get to East beach, easy to get to shopping areas, easy to hop on the sidewalks and walk to the marsh or down to the park. Do yourselves a favor and rent a golf cart while you are in town - back gate & alley make it easy to park and get to the beach with your gear loaded on the golf cart. Relax in the pool after a long, hot day at the beach. We will be back!

The place was clean although a bit run down. The property manager was quick to respond. Recommend bringing more toilet paper, paper towels and garbage bags. We ran out of all. Also it’s smart to bring your own beach towels. Beds and bathrooms were clean.

Good location, but some TLC would help…

Great location, but house could use some TLC. The house wasn’t clean when we checked (apparently Vrbo didn’t let the prop. Manager know of our arrival) the property manager was contacted about the cleanliness but we never heard back. It was a prime location for restaurants and the beach…but the property felt a little neglected.

Hello Shawn, yes sometimes VRBO does have glitches from time to time. We did not receive an email letting us know that you had booked, which is the reason that you did not receive check in information. I did speak to you before you arrived and gave you the code to gain entry to the property. When you arrived the owner of the cleaning company was at the property making sure the home was ready for your stay. I spoke to him after he departed and was told everything was good. I have gone through emails and voicemails and it appears we were never notified regarding the house not being cleaned properly. I do want to apologize if the house was not up to your expectations. And I hope you will give us another shot in the future. Benji

Overall a great week, some TLC is needed

Great location with an easy walk to the beach- we had 4 kids (ages6-8) and they were able to make the walk back and forth easily. Loved the quiet street and all the different beach access points. The house is a decent size and rooms are spread out for privacy. The pool and hot tub were wonderful- we had trouble at first with heating but two days in a pool guy came and then it heated nicely. The place is good. Definitely needs some care (oven is terrible, doors stick, charcoal grill doesn’t have a grate, generally old and in need of some TLC), but we still had a great time and would generally recommend this property to others. Good kitchen space with an island for hang out time.

Vacation Experience

The door was hard to get in with code, the home was not properly furnished: eating utensils, bath cloths,kitchen utensils, no can opener, no serving bowls, Wi-Fi didn’t work half the time, the air conditioning was uneven in the home cold up front and hot bedrooms with small bath. The photos of the property were deceiving. The chairs in the kitchen were dangerous and need to be replaced.

Good lication/nice pool

Some dry rot wood along outer porch area. windows could use some blinds. Code instructions were a bit vague. Owner wasnt very responsive on VrBo site, has an issue with internet connectivity and had to call the emergency number, not cool! Door to porch pool area needs some serious WD40! Sink stopper in main bath needs fixed. No light in the main bedroom shower?

Family trip

The house and location are lovely!!! Easy walk to the beach and great outdoor pool to cool off! Given the age of the home, the room size was appropriate with lots of socialization space. That said, there are several TLC items that need to be done in and outside the home that you didn’t quite pick up in the description or pictures. For example patio paint, dirty grout in bathrooms, aged electrical, leaking faucet, one stove burner didn’t work etc. We also had to have the cleaning service come out again at check in as the floors were very dirty. The property management team did respond and have it re-cleaned which was appreciated. If some maintenance effort was put into the home we would absolutely stay again! Truly the perfect location!

Disappointed for the money

This was an expensive 3 day stay considering the missing amenities. We requested the spa to be heated and couldn’t get it above 85. We also tried multiple times to get the tv to work. Followed directions and reset boxes and nothing worked. We contacted the host multiple times during our stay on the app, text, call and did not hear back. It is run down compared to photos.

We are in and out of the office on the weekends so I apologize no one responded to your email. I was sent a text on Friday afternoon regarding entry to the house which I immediately answered. I wish you would have sent another texts regarding the pool heat, the tv's and your overall displeasure with the home. I would have been more than happy to ride right over and address these issues. Perfect for our family of 5

This was our first visit to SSI and our family cannot wait to go back! We are a family of 5 with three boys ages 13, 10 and 5. Adirondack hous was the perfect location for walking to the beach and riding bikes around the East Beach neighborhood. We discovered there is another small beach at the end of the street too. The private pool and hot tub were a highlight. It was easy to adjust the temperature and the pool deck receives plenty of sunshine to enjoy. Our older boys appreciated that the pool was so deep on one end so they could jump in and cannonball! We ate dinner under the lania most nights. The house is much larger than we imagined and we had plenty of space to spread out. The spacious and updated kitchen was gorgeous and well stocked. This house is an older house but it is renovated and decorated very nicely! Beds were comfy and clean. If I had a complaint, it would be that the water pressure in one of the bathroom showers was not very good but we had two other showers to use so it was not a big deal. Parking was plentiful which was nice when our cousins came to visit for the day. We had one issue with a TV remote and the management company came over right away to help. The beaches were very nice and clean. We went into the village most nights for ice cream and our kids enjoyed walking to the pier to check out the local fishermen/women. We can't wait to get back to this property and SSI! Highly recommend this property for the lovely pool, close beach access and updated kitchen/decor.

The Adirondack Cottage is a great place for a group to stay. Our family has 3 couples with 2 children, so there was plenty of space to spread out. Location was a big plus for access to the East Beach walkway. Easy 5 minute walk. The common areas were comfy and clean, and dining table was great. All lamps worked!!The kitchen was well-stocked with cookware, glassware, and tableware. Lots of supplies if you forgot some spices, coffee, sugar, etc. Cleaning supplies, storage bags, food wraps, etc were plentiful if needed. The pool area had lots of extra floats, noodles, and seating under the porch. The only problem was the neighbors’ crepe Myrtle trees which dumped all the blossoms and leaves in the pool. The skimmers simply couldn’t keep up especially with the winds from afternoon storms. Phone call to the rental agency yielded a quick response for pool service to check. The bathrooms are dated, but were clean with extra supplies and towels. The washer and dryer were also helpful, except the dryer didn’t seem to be working perfectly. Even keeping the lint filter really clean didn’t help. Decor was beach cottage themed, older but quaintly appropriate. We would definitely rent there again.

Great location, enjoyed hot tub and pool.

Another great weekend in St Simons. Weather was perfect, location within walking distance to East Beach. House a little dated and could use a revamp but location and pool/hot tub make this a great property.
