We have over 40 pictures to view our home inside and out.
Enjoy our boat ramp, dock and walk ways.
Beach area between sea wall and dock, great for kids, and mounting kayaks.

We like to rent from Saturday to Saturday. However, if you would like to stay less than 7 days, please e-mail me and we can look at what you have in mind.

6 bedrooms: two king suites, three queen bedrooms, kids room with two bunks,
sleeper sofa for 2 - sleeps 16 people comfortably. Overhead fans in five bedrooms.
4 full baths - endless HOT water with tankless water heater, able to take three showers
at one time.
Fully furnished kitchen with all pots, pans, dishes etc. - seats 18 people
High Chair for young infants.
Boat ramp, 10 X 20 dock, half of the dock covered
Swing and two picnic tables, and six chairs under house.
We now have a corn hole game for outdoor fun.
Book case with books and games.
Six beach chairs for adults, 2 for children, to use.
4 Kayaks
We now have a four-person paddle boat to play with.
4 modern smart TVs, Free Internet, cable TV, also a TV with DVD player on a small table in the upstairs hall for kids to use.

We decided not to provide bed linen, bath towels or kitchen towels. We have reduced our house rent to save you money, so, you can bring your own linen and towels, or, we have provide names and numbers to call, so you can create your own package to suit the needs of your group. 5 people, 10 people, 16 people. Whatever is right for you.

Anyone who has come to Surf City on 4th of July knows that the water pressure from 4 pm thru 8 pm is bad. In 2023 it was worst than bad. So, we have added Grundfos, SCALA2 boost pump. This will keep good water pressure, even on the top floor shower. Enjoy.

We loved our stay in this amazing home! It is so much larger than it appears in pictures. We had plenty of room for everyone in our group and there were a few extra rooms to spare. The setup is great if you wanted to bring two families and assign each one a floor as there is plenty of space on each level. The open floor plan in the kitchen, living and dining area is perfect for gathering together! The kitchen has everything you need! It was the most well-appointed vacation rental kitchen I have ever experienced in our 18 years of beach rentals! We didn’t bring a boat, but we took the kayaks out on the canal every night and that was such a fun addition to our normal beach week. There are lots of beach chairs and supplies to use and the walk to the beach is quick and easy. The owner reached out to us several times throughout the week to make sure we were safe and had everything we needed. He is easy to reach in case you have any questions. I would highly recommend this rental and hope to be able to stay again!

Wonderful Place! Highly Recommend!

We once again had a wonderful stay! This home is in a perfect location on the canal with lots to do (kayak, peddle boat, swim, fish, boat ride…) and easy water access. It is a great location for going for walks and bike rides. The ocean is just a short walk away as well. The water pressure was fantastic, even on the 4th of July! The house is clean, comfortable and well-equipped. Mr. Dawson has always been an incredibly helpful and responsive host, going above and beyond for 6 years now, making our stays even more enjoyable!

Annual Family Beach Trip

Great location for vacationers who love boating and the beach! House is amazing with lots of room. There were 15 in our group, ages 2 to 88.The owner checked in frequently to make sure we had what we needed…We will definitely stay again!!

Family/Friends vacation

House was perfect for all our needs. We brought out boat and utilized the boat ramp and dock all week. Enough space for 6 18-21 year old kids, five adults and one 14 year old. Owner was very attentive and easy to contact if needed.

Beach family reunion

14 of us met up on topsail island in this wonderful beach house for a family get together. We had a great week fishing, kayaking, going to the beach and eating lots of ice cream at the many shops in town. There was a great place to gather in the open concept kitchen living room and dinning room where we ate breakfast and dinner together and played cards. We also enjoyed all of the outdoor sitting areas on the water. The owner supplied a great beach cart and beach chairs to use all week. We made many family memories and really enjoyed our trip. Thank you to Old Savannah Farm.

Powell Beach week

This is a very nice property for large groups. We can gather in the living room or under the house. We love being on the canal and bring a boat and there are canoes to use. It’s a short walk to the beach and the owner is wonderful! We have rented for 3 years now and he is consistently on the job of making sure his tenants have what they need. I can definitely recommend this home.

Looking Forward to Next Year!

This was the 5th year our family has stayed at this house and we had a wonderful time as always! There is so much to do. We can play in the canal, kayak, fish, walk to the beach and much more. We have a large family and there is plenty of parking space and even room to let the little ones ride their bikes. We stayed on the week of July 4th this year and we had no issues with the water. The boost pump that was put in worked great. I've always stayed in one of the upstairs rooms and used the shared bathroom for showers. In the past, we could not take a shower there if the washer was going or if someone was in the master shower downstairs. However, this year we had no issues with the water at all. Thank you Mr. Dawson for taking care of that! Mr. Dawson was wonderful and checked in with us several times to make sure everything was good. We left a valuable item when left on Saturday and Mr. Dawson got it and graciously let us meet him to get it back. Our large family loves staying here and looks forward to our next stay!

Perfect location for a family vacation!

We stayed here in June with visiting family from Texas (several families with children ranging from 6-18). We were very pleased with the location and proximity to the beach. Our family loved fishing, swimming, kayaking (4 provided by Dawson and family) and paddle boarding right behind the house in the canal which was perfect for idling while getting several families ready for the beach. The beach was only a 5 minute walk at Access 3 and wasn't terribly busy. With such a large group, it was easier to cook meals. We were very pleased with the availability of kitchen items --from the availability of sharp knives to Tupperware to store leftovers, everything seemed thoughtfully placed for cooking in large numbers. I would definitely recommend this location with such great hosts!

Great Family Trip

We had a great stay at this house. Very comfortable for our family of 9. Very clean and welcoming upon arrival. The kids enjoyed fishing off the dock daily and using the kayaks provided at the property. Also appreciated the beach chairs available for use. Very quick walk to the beach. If you have a boat to bring it is an ideal location to enjoy the intracoastal and the beach in the same trip. Excellent communication with property owner. Highly recommend and would stay again!

Wonderful home

As a farm family we enjoyed this “farm” home with great views of the canal, wonderful tractor displays, and minutes away from the beach. The owner is awesome and answered all our questions. If you’re looking to stay close to the beach with family and friends this is a great place to stay!

Family Vacay to Surf City

This house is just wonderful for our family and the location is great for us! This year we actually had a boat to enjoy the boat dock and canals. The house provided kayaks as well and we had fun with those. It’s a short walk to the beach so you can have canal front fun and ocean front near by. This is the second year we have rented this house. Dawson the owner is very quick to take care of any issues. The kitchen is well stocked and the area underneath the house has a grill. It also has a wonderful breeze and is great for hanging in the evening! We will likely rent here again!!

Surf city

This was our 3rd year staying at this property and we have always had a great time and this time was not any different except we came Fourth of July week and will never do this again. The water pressure is nonexistent so we went days without proper showers or toilet flushing. I was a bit confused on why my neighbors had water but we didn’t . I think the owner did as much as her could but we were hoping for some kind of compensation for not having showered for 2 solid days. He did offer 200 off next year rental but that was very slight considering we we extremely understanding and have stayed years in a row. We will definitely come back to surf city but will most likely not be there that week.

Another Great Beach Week

Wonderful stay!

We had a wonderful stay! Our group of 13 people, ranging in age from 1 to 61, had all the bedrooms, bathrooms and space we needed to have a terrific beach vacation. We loved the outdoor space at the house and played many games of corn hole. We used the kayaks several times. We cooked most of our meals in the house and had everything we needed to make them. The walk to the beach was between 5-10 minutes and was very easy. We spent each day on the beach and enjoyed the amount of space available for our group to spread out. We would definitely stay again!

Wonderful Beach Vacation Home

Our extended families gathered at this home for a fun vacation. The house was spacious and well laid out. We enjoyed being able to use the boat ramp and the dock was in great condition.
