Love location close to other family in the area

Only minor issues found taffy suck in drawer and melted. Master bedroom blinds should be replaced.

Needs work!

The view was great but the condo needs work. Updating and repairs. The dishwasher fell out when you opened door. Needs new furniture and painting. Will not stay in this unit again.

Electrical problems in the kitchen

The microwave did not work. Every time we plugged anything to any outlet in the kitchen, it would trip the breaker. There are some electrical problems with the kitchen that really should be checked out. There is a very nasty dirty mattress in the second bedroom and the kitchen chairs were pretty dirty as well. Other than that all was good and we enjoyed our stay even though it was very difficult cooking for the family.

Does NOT sleep 7

Management company was excellent. Property was very clean and we were contacted several times checking our satisfaction and making sure we had up to date contact info for any issues which luckily we never had to use. The location is excellent and the condo building is very clean and well kept. The heated pool and bathroom right at the beach was really nice and we enjoyed it very much. Our 3 star review is because this is falsely advertised as sleeping 7. There is a fold out couch that other reviewers had commented about that we thought surely had been replaced after 2 years of negative reviews. It was not replaced and is 100 percent not sleepable! We’ve all slept on uncomfortable fold out couches and you just tough it out. No biggie. This foldout in NOT usable… even for kids. The frame is so bent that you’d fear your kids rolling off and getting hurt… no matter what direction you laid them to sleep. It literally is DANGEROUS! It took 2 of us to fold it back up because the frame is so bent it was hitting the floor! We ended up having to double up in the other beds which made our vacation FAR less enjoyable. If you can’t double up in beds or don’t want to on your vacation, don’t rent this unit!! Again Vacasa Mgmt company was EXCELLENT! But if the owners won’t replace the couch then this should NOT be advertised as sleeps 7.

I have stayed at this property many times prior to this trip but never is this particular unit. After receiving several assertive emails about parking and how to properly display the parking permit that was supposed to be on the kitchen counter, there was no permit. I called Vacasa, and they assured me that someone would be by with the permit and that they would call my cell before entering the unit. When customer service called back to asked me if I had received the parking permit, initially I said no, that no called my cell. Then as I am talking to customer service and walking into the unit from the balcony I see that indeed someone had entered the unit, placed the parking permit on the counter and walked out while we were all on the balcony without a word. Super freaky! Then we look and there is no ice maker or ice trays in the freezer, so I called back the next day and someone again without calling, knocks on the door with a small bag of ice and ice trays. Later that evening the microwave stops working along with all the kitchen outlets. I called customer service again. The Vacasa representative shows up again without calling and fixes the microwave. On the last evening of our stay we want to wash our beach towels and notice a small sticker on the washing machine stating Do Not Use Under Repair. I call the customer service number again and ask for a manager. Of course they are not going to call a repairman after hours so we are just SOL.

Honestly we’ve stayed in this exact condo for the last three or four years and we were disappointed this year. It’s almost like a new owner has it. A lot of the appliances that were used to were gone. There used to be coffee but this year there was none. There used to be a huge basket of shampoos and stuff and this year there was not. The plug for the bathtub didn’t fit. There used to be beach chairs, this year none. We were just disappointed this time around. It felt like there was no customer service. We recorded a text saying we could check in early but when we did there was no parking passes and then I got a hateful message from vacasa saying that we weren’t supposed to check in yet and basically chastising me for doing so. Probably won’t be using vacasa again not renting this condo again. View was perfect though and the location is superb.

Great Location

The location can’t be beat - on the beach and walking distance to shops and restaurants. The condo was generally spacious enough for 6 adults, but maybe not for a group that likes to cook (the kitchen is a tight squeeze, not well-equipped, and the outlets tripped several times). The condo is in need of some TLC. The pantry doors do not open smoothly or easily. We were not able to adjust the fan speed in any of the rooms. The couch bed was too uncomfortable to use and the couch itself is so sunken (angled downward to the back) that no one could sit comfortably. Mattresses could also stand to be updated. There was a blender we were excited to use but it was broken. One of the refrigerator shelves collapsed during our stay and the ice maker couldn’t keep up with regular use (for beverages, not filling coolers). The washer and dryer are too small for a full load of towels and the lint trap in the dryer falls out if it’s not placed just so in the dryer. The listing indicates that there is a reserved, covered parking space but that was not the case. There is only one elevator so it is slow going down and coming up. The elevator waiting area is unbearably hot (dryer vents blow into this area and AC units are housed there).

Great Location!!

Great Location, but furniture needs to be updated. Toilets are very small. I have very tall and big family members. Ant fest station when food is left on the counter or falls to the floor.

The unit was not clean or safe

The hall bath shower liner was moldy and torn, the master bed cover was stained, the walls in the other bedroom were stained with what appeared to be boogers! There was an uncovered outlet in the living room. The dishwasher was not attached to the cabinet and when I went to put dishes in it, the entire thing fell out! My husband said the same thing happened to him the next morning. I asked for the shower liner to be replaced but no one showed up the next day to do it. We got mad and left on Tuesday instead of Thursday because of the condition of this unit! My husband said someone from the property mgt co showed up as we were leaving. He pointed out our concerns to her but she had an excuse for everything. The main thing she said that I think is outrageous is that they only do a deep clean of the units once a year. With COVID still running so rampant, that is mind boggling to me!

Great place!

Cute apartment, nicely decorated and furnished with an absolutely fabulous view of both gulf and bay. Side unit so full view of the gulf, lovely beach. Very clean. Would rent this again.

Summer visit to Gulf Shores

The room was very comfy. No coffee cups. The beach being right at our footsteps was wonderful. No covered parking. It was difficult operating both TVs. But we had a great time.

Great location on the beach

My family of 7 had a great time and enjoyed our stay at Tropic Isle. We had plenty of room and loved being right on the beach with an ocean view. We definitely would stay here again.

Best Value around!

This place was just as advertised... Perfect Location with a perfect view. We watched dolphins from the balcony every morning. It was updated and very clean. It was incredible. The pull out Hide-a-bed is not very comfortable, but to be fair I don't think I have ever slept on one that was. This will be the first place we call when we come back.

Perfect Vacation!

We had a fantastic vacation and stay in tropic Isles 505. The condo was just what we needed for our party of 6. Great location in Gulf Shores, we rarely had to drive anywhere. We are looking forward to coming back!
