En Bundick Cottage, en el río Coan, ubicado en el cuello septentrional de Virginia, serás recibido con muffins de arándanos y huevos frescos de granja. Relájese y disfrute de las vistas siempre cambiantes, pescando y pescando cangrejos en el muelle, navegando en kayak por Mill Creek, mirando los diamantes brillando en el agua, cocinando perritos calientes en la fogata, mirando las interminables estrellas en la noche oscura y, lo más importante, pasando el tiempo con tu familia y amigos construyendo recuerdos que durarán toda la vida.

Con un puerto deportivo local a poca distancia, puede traer su propio bote o abordar un barco de pesca. Aprende la historia de la zona en varios museos. Encuentra pintorescas tiendas y actividades de temporada también.

Esta casa tuvo una renovación completa en 2019 que cuenta con un concepto abierto de cocina, comedor y sala familiar. Una cubierta de dos pisos frente al agua, una sala de juegos con sala de TV adyacente y un muelle completo con una estación de limpieza de peces. También viene con acceso a 3 kayaks y chalecos salvavidas para todos. Cocine su propio pescado, cangrejos y ostras en la hornilla para exteriores que se proporciona.

Empaca tu ropa y trae los comestibles, la casa se encargará del resto. ¡Incluso las ollas de cangrejo y un par de cañas de pescar!

Perfect little getaway

Great location and views!

A great, updated, clean and perfect sized cottage for our mother/daughters get away! The views and access to the water are awesome! Debbie and George have a lovely decorated home with a great partially covered deck for relaxing and soaking in the river life. Such a peaceful spot with all the amenities we needed and more!

Everything we wanted!

This property offered everything we wanted and more! We had a fantastic time fishing, crabbing, kayaking, and paddle boarding. Kids had fun playing ping pong. Quiet and peaceful....just what we needed. And the hosts were incredible. Thank you for your hospitality and the home made blueberry muffins and farm fresh eggs!

Honestly, one of the best vacations I have ever enjoyed in recent times. The house and the surroundings were awesome: deck, grill, firepit, kyacks, dock, crab traps etc etc etc just to name a few. Would love to return!

Beautiful

Bundick Cottage was one of the best homes we've ever rented. It had everything anyone would need for a wonderful vacation. There is so much to do both in and out of the house. The view from the home and dock is beautiful. Debbie and George are the best hosts. We will be back!

Idyllic Stay

We selected this property for its proximity to my sister’s home in the next town over. Had everything we needed for 5 of us to stay. My teenage kids especially liked the playroom downstairs. I loved waking up to the view of the water and the peaceful setting. Also took a mile walk In the immediate area and it was gorgeous with all of the fall leaves. Debbie and her husband were great hosts. The house was in perfect order - the eggs and homemade blueberry muffins were a lovely surprise. Five star stay.

Another fab visit!

This is a repeat visit to Debbie and George’s oasis on the Coan River and we will be back! Not only have we made great family memories at the fabulously appointed Bundick Cottage, but we have gained a friend in the most gracious hosts. Everything at the cottage is taken care of meticulously. We brought our boat down this last time and enjoyed the knee boarding, fishing and water-side relaxing. Thanks, Debbie and George!

Excellent all around!

The property was beautiful and well maintained. An oasis with plenty of space and perfect for one family or two. I was so impressed with how Debra and George added personal touches to enhance the experience - like fresh baked goods, soup, and eggs in the fridge upon arrival. I am looking at returning during the summer to take advantage of all the property offers during the summer too!

Lovely weekend on the river with ftiends

Quiet waterfront home. Nicely decorated and very clean. Lots of amenities at the home. Beautiful fall weekend to kayak and enjoy the views. Owner was accessible as needed and communication was timely. Thank you for sharing your home.

Amazing Location With Awesome Hosts....

Bundick Cottage is one unforgettable gem on the Northern Neck of VA. The views from the cottage are unbelievable. There were so many memories made from fishing, kayaking, crabbing to the game room. The house is spacious and super clean which is rare for rentals. Debbie and George are the perfect hosts who will make you feel like you’re at a cozy bed & breakfast. It was one of our best family vacations thus far ! We did not want to leave !

Quiet get away.

We had a wonderful time. The house was just as pictured. It was a much needed quiet vacation away. Fishing and crabbing everyday was very relaxing. Watching the falcons and eagles was a spectacular scene. Our teenagers had a blast on the kayaks. Hosts, Debbie and George, were very accommodating and helpful. It was like stepping back in time. Lots of small towns to explore. Also close to local fishing charters, the fishing on the Chesapeake bay was priceless. Definitely will try to return.

Paradise on the water

The pictures for the posting do not do this place justice!! This place is beautiful and has it all. There is no shortage of activities and relaxation meets you at the driveway. If you love crabs, get the pots baited before you get there you won’t regret it! S’more’s in the fire pit complete the evening from a day of kayaking. You will want for nothing staying here. Kudos to George and Debbie for sharing this hidden gem. There are no regrets from our stay, and the fresh eggs and muffins set the mood for a wonderful stay. Just wish it could have been longer.

Amazing house that kept 5 teenagers entertained

The pictures of this house does it no justice. The house comes with EVERYTHING you need. The owners were some of the nicest people who were willing to go out of their way to help out in any way! The house had such a cute beachy vibe that was way bigger than the pictures showed. It kept my 5 kids entertained all week with the kayaks, crab traps, fishing, ping pong and games!! It was a perfect place to take my kids and really spend quality time with them. Thank you George and Debbie for sharing your wonderful home that providing countless memories for my family and I!

Great Stay, Awesome Hosts!

One vacation rental site says “stay like a local” and we sure did at Bundick Cottage! We not only felt like locals next to our hosts George and Debbie, but we felt like we were living next to family. The wonderful hospitality began with fresh muffins and farm-fresh eggs. We loved paddle-boarding, kayaking, fishing, crabbing, and just being by the water. They game room was awesome, especially on the one rainy day. Thoughtful furnishings, attention to detail, and all of the kitchen tools needed for our stay made this a great home away from home. We’ve stayed in vacation homes in London, Paris, Rome, Russia and Scandinavia, but this is the best one we’ve stayed in—by far. George and Debbie were lovely, wonderful hosts. We loved staying here and hope to return.

Beautiful River Getaway

Bundick Cottage was the perfect getaway for this single dad and his two teenagers! From the kindness of George and Debbie to the endless amenities, the only thing you’ll be missing are your swimsuits and sunscreen. The personal touches were everywhere in this place, right down to the kayaks and hand soap. We unplugged for a whole week as we soaked in the sun, watched the hummingbirds, caught some Croaker and Red Drum, enjoyed s'mores at the fire pit, reeled in some blue crabs, and paddled until our arms fell off. George and Debbie were responsive and available but never intrusive. We never ran out of things to do or places to explore and we also never stopped being surprised by the little things at Bundick Cottage. This place has nothing but 5 star reviews for good reason… because there’s nothing to dislike about this rental!

It could not have been more wonderful

Our time on the river at George and Debbie’s pristine and cultivated property could not have been better. Arriving at the beautiful property is a treat that was made better when we met George who told us about all the fascinating details and work they’ve put in. “Mr. George” (as the kids called him) also took the time to not only educate us on the crab pots, but he actually took us over to his own pier and gave us lessons on the water life of the area. We met eels, oysters, lots of crabs, and bait fish. He was generous of time and spirit and made the trip for us. I was also able to have meaningful time with my children; we took the kayaks and the paddle board to explore around the river. We found a small lagoon with a “shipwreck” (downed dingy, but I let the kids dream…) and a private beach where they swam and played. This was a trip for the books and I’m so pleased. Thank you Debbie and George for your wonderful hospitality!

Gorgeous View -- Lots to Do!

So glad we chose Bundick Cottage. Our not-quite-four-year-old granddaughter taking her first rivah trip said, "I want to stay here forever!" Even though it rained most of the weekend, we had a wonderful time. Everyone agreed they'd love to come again. Ideal fit for our group of six. For two full days on the river, plan to stay for a long weekend (three nights) at least. -- friendly, well-organized, generous hosts (Debra and George) -- clean as a whistle -- fresh linens, ultra-comfy beds -- superbly stocked kitchen (complimentary farm fresh eggs and homemade blueberry muffins greeted us) -- attractive decor (deck table seats 4, dining table seats 6) -- sooo many water toys: kayaks, paddle board, fishing rods (rigged), crab pots (baited) -- huge game room for the young and young-at-heart (ping pong, foosball, ring toss, board games, puzzles) -- just a15 minute drive for groceries -- the VIEW (conservation area across the river, densly wooded river banks, marshes for paddling, variety of birdlife to be seen from the decks)

Beautiful, clean home

Upon arriving we had warm blueberries muffins waiting for us and fresh picked flowers. This house was everything we were looking for. It was so clean and had everything you need. From sitting on the covered deck at night, or out by the fire down by the river roasting s’mores and oysters. Days playing card games with the kids, and bingo at night. Don’t forget about the intense games of ping pong! Our children loved going out on the kayaks and there was enough space for all 6 of us to go together! Catching crabs off the dock and cooking them right there and even our picky 8 year old loved them! We felt centrally located and was able to take a handful of day trips to some historic places. The beds were more comfortable then home and linens smelled fresh! The hosts were so helpful and friendly. I actually had tears in my eyes leaving. We can’t wait to take a trip back and hopefully bring grandparents along!

Relaxing Getaway

This was one of the best places we have stayed. We are always on the hunt every year for a relaxing getaway from the D.C area and Debbie's house was by far the best! She welcomed us with fresh baked blueberry muffins that my daughters and husband devoured immediately. She even came by the next day to drop off fresh donuts from the Amish market. Her husband, George shared his canoe and his wisdom regarding how to bait crab. We caught over 2 dozen crabs and George was kind enough to bring by local, fresh oysters that we purchased for such an affordable price! They even shared delicious pears grown right in their yard. The list goes on and on with their hospitality! We couldn't ask for better hosts. We also explored the local area and visited the Good Cellar Winery, Hughlett Point Natural Preserve and Hughlett's Tavern. All the recommendations were by the host and we had a great time. If you're trying to escape the city life for a respite weekend, I highly recommend Debbie and George's place. This will definitely be our annual relaxing getaway!

Spring Break disconnect...

What a Beautiful place! Every corner of this beautiful home was bright and new - from the kitchen appliances to the bathrooms to the gameroom downstairs. The view was spectacular and we heard nothing but birds. My husband brought his fishing kayak and the dock was the perfect place to prep hooks. It was rainy and cold, but there was not a moment of boredom wtih my 10 year old and my teenagers with a gameroom fully stocked with foosball, ping pong, board games and puzzles. The fully stocked kitchen allowed me to do lots of cooking, although nothing as delicious as the plate full of blueberry muffins from our hosts, Debbie and George! Our hosts also listed a number of restaurants close by so we had full tummies for our 5 day visit. Any concern or question was answered quickly and with a smile - and we also asked for some kindling/firewood for the firepit too! My 10yo and I went on a leisurely bike ride, and though there were kayaks, a canoe and paddle board available, it was a bit too cold. But morning coffee on the porch and a visit on the last night from the otters was perfect. My husband and I are already planning a weekend getaway for just the two of us. I would recommend this beautiful getaway a thousand times over!

Relaxing

We had an amazing time here! What a nice clean place. We loved that we could relax on the deck and pier. The kids loved the game room, crabbing and kayaking. We caught 60 crabs in 5 days. So much to do at this home. We like to explore the area and do new things with the kids. We took the kids to compass entertainment center that was 35 minutes away. Kids had a blast. Also, to King Dominion that’s was an hour away. Another fun thing we did was Acme in tappahannock. What a cool ice cream Parlor and antique store. Debbie & George are just the sweetest and great host. Wendy & George and Kids

A Wonderful Family Getaway

Our family had a great time! The house is not only beautiful but also meticulously maintained and cleaned. The hosts think of everything down to the smallest detail. Our kids loved the game room, water and kayaks. We will definitely be coming back again!
