Charming coastal cottage that offers a short walk to the beach and bay. Located on a secluded corner lot that offers a large outdoor living space and lots of privacy.

Our new kitchen offers stylish granite countertops, white cabinets, and new appliances.

The kitchen, living room, and sunroom are all open to each other and offer views of the two decks and the lush vegetation.

Two bedrooms and one bath. Perfect for a small family! Our laundry room includes a washer and dryer and has a separate entrance.

You will have an outdoor shower, plenty of deck space, and shady spaces for your faces!

This is a single story house that offers a handicapped ramp.

We love your 4-legged children and small pets are welcome.

This is the best bargain on the island!

In the event that you need to cancel, we provide a full refund 60 days or more prior to arrival. Within 60 days there is no refund.

*We strongly recommend the purchase of trip insurance with trip interruption rider when booking this reservation.

There are three exterior security cameras on the property. If the cameras are removed or tampered with during the renters stay, a $500 fee will be assessed. All cameras are disabled upon arrival of guests.

This was our 2nd time staying here and we love this charming little cottage. Its 2 bedroom and one bath perfect for my spouse and me and our dog. We love the sunroom area and sitting on the deck. Kitchen is well equiped. Dawn is wondeful to work with and we had no issues plan to return.

Love staying at Papa Shack. It is close to everything but you feel like you are all by yourself. Very private. Has everything you need and it has direct tv so you don’t have to stream everything. This is our 3rd time there. We will be back.

Perfect little cottage for us; 2 bedroom 1 bath just short 4-5 min walk to the beach. They have a nice wagon and beach umbrella along with fishing supplies, a board and even water guns! Home kitchen nicely supplies with dishes and cookware. Outside has plenty of room for parking nice area to sit. This was our first time on St George and we plan to come back and book again at Papa Shack.

Between the beach and the bay tucked into its own private yard. Landscaping is delightful - sand live oaks, pines, native understory, fairy lights, lovely deck with outdoor eating and gas grill. Inside is charming and comfortable. All appliances worked. Keurig coffee maker carafe side was tricksy (needs Better instructions). AC/heat Slips kept climate comfy and allowed for personal settings in bedrooms. Bed was very comfortable, almost too comfortable! Bathroom needs some shelving for people ‘s stuff; no place except back of toilet and small medicine cabinet for everything. Short walks to beach and bay on quiet paved roads. Sky watching, dining, and just hanging out were all wonderful on the deck!

Sweet peace! It was an awesome experience! Very relaxing! Out of all the vacation rentals we have stayed I loved Papa’s shack the most. I’m thinking it should be Mama’s shack because it was so clean and fresh. I felt at home!!!

They were ok with our dogs. Front door code key lock was very difficult to use. The house had not been cleaned and called owner. We went to the beach and picked up a couple groceries. Took over an hour to clean the house. Great size for what we needed.

Great stay at the coastal cottage!

My family & I loved this place. The property feels secluded and private, yet it's a short walk to the beach and you can hear the waves crashing from the porch. The cottage living areas are spacious and open and had everything we needed to make meals at home if we wanted. Bedrooms were comfortable. All very clean and organized. We really loved this place!

Wonderful stay — peaceful, well-equipped, and perfect for our senior dogs!

We had a fantastic experience at the Papa Shack! It was just a short walk to the beach but felt private and quiet — the perfect mix. The home was clean, comfortable, and had great amenities like a washer and dryer.The host was incredibly communicative and made everything easy. We brought our two senior dogs for a special trip, and they had the best time exploring and relaxing. Truly a memorable stay — highly recommend!

What a magical place! The location is fantastic. Steps from the beach and the bay in a secluded little lot surrounded by trees that provide additional privacy and beauty. The cottage is tastefully appointed and the host provided games, books and beach accessories. Laundry facility was great and appreciated having it. The king bed was delicious! One quirk? The dishwasher door. You’ll see! It just adds to the magic! We want to return for a long term stay. Thank you, Papa Shack! We lived every second of being there.

Second time, and we’ll be back!

Love this property so much, it’s beautiful, private and perfectly located just a short walk to the beach. Our favorite part is the privacy of the home itself, the way it’s completely surrounded by trees with no over looking homes or visible road front. Pulling into the driveway or walking the small path through the trees makes it feel like you’re in a much more secluded area away from the crowds. The home is very well decorated and outfitted for a couple or small family. An absolute family favorite.

Great house for pets

The house is set up to allow pets. No carpeting, very private and quiet and our dogs did great here when we left to fish on the beach, which is a short walk down the road.The house is not fancy but had everything we needed and extremely clean.Just an FYI - there were no toiletries or beach towels so bring your own if you stay.Owner was very quick to respond with my questions.

The neighborhood is in a quiet residential area and the cottage is on a corner lot surrounded by trees.

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

Our property is a throwback in time. Originally constructed in 1967 when few houses were on the island. When we renovated the cottage in 2017 we tried to modernize yet stay true to the beach house vibe and character of the cottage. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do.
