Hard to write a review without mentioning the tragic weather and floods in the hill country. The loss of life was devastating and the many families affected put a damper on the weekend. Greg and Angie (our hosts) kept us updated on the status of flooding on the Frio but of course it was nowhere as heavy as that on the Guadalupe.With all the rain and cool weather we ended up spending most of our time at the house and it was great! It’s a beautiful and comfortable space. The views are speechless and the location is perfect. We spent a lot of time on the wonderful patio watching the hummingbirds and the deer. The house was spotless and a very comfortable space to spend the lazy long weekend. Loved the kitchen and large table and the pantry was well stocked. We would certainly recommend it and would go back again.

The view from this house is amazing! The house is perfect for a smaller family. We had 6 people and we were comfortable. The house is exactly as it appears in the pictures and is stocked with everything needed for a great Frio river getaway. Close to everything, including general stores, and gas stations. Highly recommend.

Amazing 2nd Stay!

This was our second time staying at this property and it was just as amazing as it was the first time. I remember leaving the first time and wishing we could have brought our parents with us to see the beautiful house and views and we got to bring them the second time around! They loved it sooo much! The kids had so much fun! They love the house and all the games it comes stocked with! That became our little routine after being out in the river all day. Staying up late and playing games in the living room! Thank you Mr. Greg and Mrs. Angie for another wonderful stay! God willing we can continue to make this a yearly trip and stay at your property!

Amazing House

My family absolutely loved our stay here. Enjoying morning breakfast and coffee overlooking the valley was our favorite part of the day. The house was clean and comfortable. the hosts had everything in place for us and were informative on what was needed and wanted. They have some corn feed for the deers that come every morning. Bird feed as well. so if you enjoy nice views, comfortable living and peace and quite. this is the spot for you.

The smallest things matter

The view is incredible but that there was a pair of binoculars to enjoy it that much more is an example of the details that made our stay so memorable. There was a loft with a perfectly placed window for my daughter to see the stars on her way to sleep, 5 gallon deer feed both upstairs and downstairs for the kids to take turns feeding the deer, hummingbird/bird feeders in the perfect spots, there were spices in the pantry and Clorox wipes under the sink, a new dish scrub by the faucet, two refrigerators, two different types of coffee appliances, every light switch was labeled to what it turned on, there were extra blankets, pillows, towels,…I could go on. The service we received was humble and kind. I highly recommend staying in this beautiful home!

Bethel Stay

The property was beautiful; lots of deer, birds, etc. to watch. Setup of house was very nice. There would be only one thing I'd change. My husband and I are older and came with our kids and grandkids. Desc online does not mention anything about there being very steep stairs to go down to get to the front door. If I had known this, I wouldn't have selected the property just because of our age. There was no railing and steps were primarily made of stone. So everytime we left or came home we had to have assistance getting up and down the stairs. It was quite difficult for us. I wish there had at least been a railing. So I think that should just be mentioned in the listing so that people know. But otherwise, it was clean and beautiful. Owners were so nice in answering any questions we had and answered emails or texts immediately. Overall, it was very convenient and nice.

good time

overall it was a great property; nicely furnished, great views, very comfortable. i was a bit surprised that the house seemed a bit small but worked well for 7 people. not sure i would push to 12. wildlife on the property was great to see. the entry area is a bit difficult to navigate if you have elder or unsteady guests but for us... it worked well. Thank you!

The view at this home is unmatched. My teenagers really enjoyed feeding and watching the deer and birds. we've been to Concan many times but never experienced a view like this one. The home had everything you need! All of the beds were very comfortable and cozy décor!

A slice of heaven in Texas

If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. Clean, excellent communication and check-in details, and the view is worth it. If anyone in your group has trouble with steps, there are a few going down into the property but they are not bad and it is a beautiful entrance to the home. This is perfect for a couple or a family (or two). We will definitely be back.

Perfect getaway

We had a wonderful time enjoying the amazing views from the decks at Bethel! The house was very well equipped and was conveniently located to public River access at Seven Bluffs and to Neal’s. We went during off season so cooking at home was a good plan since we had very limited restaurants available to us. I would recommend arriving before dark for your first night since the steep drive up the hill can be a little difficult. The kids couldn’t decide which beds to sleep in- the bunks or the loft- so they rotated and slept in all of them! Lots of games and movies. Lots of fun for the whole fam! *There are a few steep steps down to the house from the street parking and the deck has two levels with stairs*. So that is something to keep in mind for elderly guests or families with babies. Although, there is a gate off the main deck that blocks access to the staircase down to the second deck below. We would definitely book again!

The PERFECT Getaway!

This property is spectacular! The house had plenty of space for our party and had everything we could need for a relaxing weekend in Concan! The home had the added bonus of being near everything in Concan, plenty of restaurants, multiple river crossings, The Frio Bat Tours, and more was within a 10 minute drive, however the house feels like it's in its own private oasis away from the crowds when you're enjoying the amazing views from the deck! Angie was very communicative and helpful! We hope to be back again and again!

Amazing views and breeze

Hosts were super friendly and really went extra mile. Deck and views are amazing. Nice, well outfitted property close to everything in Concan and Leakey. Drought conditions in the area but didn’t impact our stay due to hosts. Recommend!

Bethel has been a real uplifting experience by meeting folks who have never been to the Frio or seasoned families that make the trek every year. We love people leaving after their visit in a much better spirit then when they arrived, Bethel has that kind of impact.

This home sits atop the highest location in Concan and offers views like no other. The neighborhood is private and the entrance to Bethel adds even more privacy and safety.
