Not as Advertised

Sadly we were deeply concerned about the condition of the property and left after only a few hours. Only the front of the home had access to central AC leaving the kitchen/dining rm and back bedroom excessively hot in the summer. The front rooms only lowered to 71 degrees. The vent in the dining room had black mold, bugs alive and dead were in the living room and smoke emanated out of the burners of the kitchen stove when we tried to cook. Due to the amount of issues (these are only the most concerning) we contacted VRBO who tried multiple times that evening to contact the owner to no avail. Thus we left the property and had to find alternative placement for the remainder of our visit to the area. This was a nicely decorated space however the property does NOT look like the photos shown on the listing.
Very high grass, owner stated mowed every 10 days but did not due to rain.

Wonderful house not far from HPU

My husband and I stayed here for our last Parents Weekend. I wish we had found this earlier as it is so close to campus and is a lovely little house. It is beautifully decorated, clean, and very comfortable. My only complaint is the fees tacked onto the nightly rental amount but I think that is and VRBO issue and not a property owner issue. Fees doubled the cost of the rental. If you don't want to drive 20 minutes to Archdale or Greensboro, I highly recommend this great house.

Clean, Quaint, & Perfect Location

Once again, the host was immediately responsive & welcoming! For this quick visit, I brought my 20 year old son & my elderly mother. It worked out beautifully & was, again, perfectly located to HPU. Everything was exactly as the host stated. It’s such a sweet cottage with all that is needed for a comfortable stay. We got such a kick out of the corkboard map to pin visitor locations the last time, we added a paper cutout of Germany showing where my son lives to prove that even international travelers visit High Point! We love this bungalow!

Cozy home in a perfect location for visiting High Point

We absolutely loved our time in High Point at this super cute, cozy, comfortable and fully equipped home! We had everything we needed and more! The back patio is spacious and private and beautifully designed. The mattresses are very comfortable and the house is in a quiet neighborhood that’s close to everything! We can’t recommend this home any higher!

Perfect location to HPU

It’s a lovely bungalow situated on a corner lot in an older neighborhood conveniently located near HPU which is perfect for small families visiting their students. We were not able to use the outdoor area as it was too cold but, would be nice to enjoy as it gets warmer. The two main bedrooms are lovely (we had no need for the other bedroom & it was a bit cooler in temp from the main area) as is the living space which is decorated well (the coffee table seemed too large for the space so I slid it to the side). The pushpin map for guests to pin their homes is such a nice touch! The small kitchen was adequate (needs a few nice wine glasses) and I didn’t mind hand washing the few dishes we used. It was a good neighborhood in which to walk the dog & I felt safe. My only mistake was checking in late in the evening; thankfully there was an automatic outdoor light so I could see to unload my car. It was cold that first night & did take a while for the heat to catch up (I had to get an additional blanket from the closet) but, was fine the next day. Of course, as in any older home, the bathroom was small but, adequate & I did like the shampoo container attached to the wall. I didn’t use the washer or dryer but, it was nice to have it if I had stayed longer. The dining area was cute & functional. It was a great location & a sweet place to stay! Thanks so much!

Charming home

Our family was moving our oldest daughter to the area to attend High Point University. the location is great for that. the house is spacious, decorated with thoughtful touches and the kitchen was well equipped. the backyard area is large and inviting. the neighborhood is mature and quiet. we didn't spend lots of time at the property but it fit all our needs.

Great stay

A few friends and I needed to escape the winter of the northeast for a week and we found the perfect stay for some golf + seeing the ACC Tournament in nearby Greensboro. The property was clean with amenities provided. The host was responsive and check-in/check-out was very easy. Highly recommend.

Cozy and Convenient

My family and I enjoyed our stay!! We had a better experience here than the hotel we visited in the area a few months ago. The home was clean and cozy! The neighborhood was quiet, we only heard crickets chirping at night. The property manager was quick to respond to the questions we had. Everything was nice, we highly recommend this property. We look forward to using them in the future!!

Outdoor patio was a highlight for sure! The house is beautifully decorated, lots of personal touches. I was in town for a visit to HPU. Very neighborhood, convenient to downtown High Point. Cheryl was super responsive. Highly recommend, will stay again. Had a great stay

Home was nice.

We had several days of challenges with hot water and gas odor in home. Host was responsive and tried addressing several times. We did get hot water.

Great place for HPU visits

Patio was a great place to end the evening. Great space, very convenient to HPU, Greensboro and Downtown. Host is very friendly and super responsive. Quite a few personal touches that really made our stay amazing. Will be back re-book next time we're in the area!
