Wonderfully Hospitable

We enjoyed our stay so much last year, we booked this property again this year. Plenty of space to spread out as a family and still yet be together.Bart is a great host and is very responsive to any questions or concerns.This will continue to be our first choice when we come back to visit family next year.

Perfect Family Vacation Rental!

The house had everything we needed for our family vacation! Loved the theatre room (great for watching sports and movies). The house location was perfect for all of our daily adventures; several restaurants close by too! Quick and friendly correspondence with the owner as well. Would definitely recommend the home to anyone looking to vacation in the San Antonio area.

Exactly what you need and want!

This property is perfect! Great size and mount of space. Amazingly clean and everything you need. 20 minutes from Schlitterbahn and easy access to highways and anything you should need!

Bart is the best. The house is comfortable, clean, and in a good location. It was 10 of us and we were comfortable. Everyone was please and this is my place to stay whenever in San Antonio.

We really enjoyed our stay here- very nice home! Loved the theater area and great sound system. Patio was also awesome! Another plus for this home is that it was conveniently close to Schlitterbahn Waterpark and the San Antonio Riverwalk- had to drive maybe 20-25 minutes! Also close to local HEB and Starbucks.

Our stay was amazing, the house is absolutely stunning! Our host JB was more then helpful and we wish our stay could have been longer! However we plan on returning in the near future! We are so greatful for everything we experienced with our host and his gorgeous home! ❤️

Great host! Great property!

My wife and I stayed at this home for a two month stay. Everything about the property is great. Really nice neighborhood. It is close to restaurants, shopping, and grocery stores. JB is a very responsive and caring host. He was always very quick to respond to any questions we had. The house itself is fully stocked for everything we needed. I highly recommend this property to everyone!

Visiting Family in San Antonio

We were there over the 4th of July weekend. This was an opportunity to get the 7 of us together from Tennessee (our adult children and grandchildren) and spend time together in our own space between activities with family in the area. We loved having a space to enjoy meals together, and sitting out on the deck. (The corn hole was fun as well.) It was a great space for the 7 of us. Bart is a phenomenal host. He called to welcome us upon our checking in and made sure we had everything we needed. He was available and made us feel comfortable contacting him. We especially appreciated the videos stepping us through things in the house. Our family felt that it was an excellent experience. We felt a since of warmth welcome in this home,

Spacious and quiet

As this was Bart (the host) and my first time using Home Away, there was a learning curve. His home was spacious, clean, and lovely. The neighborhood was peaceful, safe, and quiet. I would recommend putting more details into his listing on what he would like for check-out, but he was super about getting back to me and clarifying any questions I had. One thing to be aware of, he has asked that there be no food, drink, or shoes in the living room to protect the furniture, etc...While I didn’t have a problem with that, some may - as my family honored it, but not without some grumbling. Bart was a wonderful host and I wish him the best of luck on his listing.

Wonderful property!!

The location was perfect for our vacation in between San Antonio and New Braunfels. Quiet, very well maintained and easy access to everything we needed. The owner is very easy to reach and courteous. House is lovely and very comfortable for my family of 7.

Great, clean property

We took a last minute trip to San Antonio to visit my daughter for the holidays. We had a mixed group from Houston and Dallas. This property was perfect for us to relax, visit, share meals, and spread out. Very clean. I have stayed in many VRBOs where the houses are mostly clean, but certain shared items are questionable (i.e. throw blankets on couch, pillows). Everything felt clean and fresh. It is also a "smart" home, which had the cool factor for my kids. The stairs are a little steep for elderly parents -- we did okay with the grandparents, but did most of the running up and down the stairs for them during the day. Backyard/deck would be wonderful in the summer or when the weather was nicer. Communication with the owner was EXCELLENT -- very responsive!

Fantastic stay!

By far my best stay at any rental property! JB was a great host with an immaculate home. He provides great instructions to make the entire rental process a breeze. The communication with him was perfect and truly a great person. The house is beautiful and enjoyable, you can not go wrong with booking this home.

Great house, great owner

We stayed at this property to have a fun family weekend and floated the Comal River one day. We had to reschedule this trip once because of COVID and Bart was very understanding and reasonable. When it came to checking in, Bart was very communicative and helpful. The house it beautiful and comfortable. We loved and and we'll be back!

Family Time

We had an amazing experience in Bart's home. We had family coming into town for a birthday celebration, so we needed more space to relax. The house had plenty of room for everyone, and some to spare. We loved the tech that is built into the home, especially the theater room downstairs. Bart has great communication, responding by text in a matter of minutes. We would definitely rent again.

A Great Place to Be

5 stars across the board. A well appointed house in a convenient location. The layout was conducive to a relaxed and functional environment for a group - with the 4 bedrooms upstairs and open, comfortable living areas downstairs. Very well maintained and clean. Our group of 6 adults arrived wanting a comfortable place to cook and hang out together, as well as proximity to attractions in the area (aka Schlitterbahn :D). With grocery options a few miles away and the kitchen-dining room set up for a natural flow of food and drink into companionable onlookers' plates and cups, we spent a lot of time hanging out here! The living room / theater is a great spot too! Very comfortable and that projector is awesome. We didn't watch anything, but couldn't help play and admire a bit. Bart is a great host. Incredibly responsible and generous. We felt very welcomed into the home and comfortable communicating and asking questions to get settled in. Watch the videos he filmed!!! They are clear and necessary. One of our party didn't and had some trouble upon entry (alarm system works!). Bart handled it great - contacting us to get things worked out immediately and even going above and beyond to sooth ringing ears and our surprised friend. Quality.
