Completamente remodelada por HGTV, esta casa cuenta con hermosos muebles, un diseño interior perfecto y una decoración atemporal que te hará sentir como en casa en el momento en que cruzas la puerta. La cocina completa está equipada con electrodomésticos de acero inoxidable, encimeras de mármol y una isla enorme, así que cocina tus recetas favoritas con facilidad. We had an absolutely fantastic stay at this vacation home—it exceeded all of our expectations! The property was spotless, beautifully decorated, and equipped with everything we could possibly need. The location was perfect, offering both peace and convenience. From the comfortable beds to the well-stocked kitchen and relaxing outdoor space, every detail was thoughtfully considered. We truly felt at home and can’t wait to return. Highly recommended!

Pros: -Lovely, cleaned home. Nice first view. -Master Bath and pool towels were excellent. -kitchen appliances new -Plunge pool very nice Cons: - All beds need to be replaced saggy and slides off base. Double bed mattress back room smelled like urine- unuseable, unacceptable -All sheets were cheap with master orange ones even balled- totally unacceptible for the quality of this home. I bought a new king set to use that I took home with me. - Bugs in bathrooms (spiders, silverfish?) I have pictures if you need -Couple cockroaches in kitchen- again unacceptable -Sofa furniture was horrible -views on website did not include large covered boat obstructing view- disappointed -grill inside rusted I would rent this home again if you upgraded the beds and took care of the bug situation. I will definitely use Vacasa again. Easy, responsive. A Vacassa van also stopped by the house. They didn't knock but was nice to know they are in the area if we needed them. That's valuable!

Great house but…..,..

Furnishings need to be updated. We stayed at La Pirata for three weeks. Kitchen, plunge pool, dock all fantastic. Layout of bedrooms disappointing as the master bedroom does not have private bath. Private bath in what is referred to as room with twin beds. There are no twin beds but one double. Mattresses in master as well as the double need replacement. What was most disappointing is that living room furniture is actually outdoor furniture. It was incredibly uncomfortable. Also, at least one lounge chair is needed in the pool area. Plastic stackable chairs is all that is available. We really enjoyed being in Marathon for three weeks. However we will not be renting la Pirata again due to the lack of comfortable furnishings.

Relaxing but Exciting

Pirata is a very calm and peaceful environment. Within a few minutes you can do any activity desired. We kayaked off Sombrero Beach, bicycled, went fishing and enjoyed Crane Hammock Nature Preserve. Several times right at the house we had a very friendly manatee visitor.

Beautiful place! Weather was perfect but not as handicap accessible as told.

Over all great! One of the neighbors was very rude when our younger adults got too loud. I get the whole respect thing. It was the way he yelled shut the F up right out the window instead of coming over or asking please be more quiet. Then when my husband and son were talking on the other side of the table they called the police. Police came twice. It was upsetting. Other than that … beautiful experience. The couches are outside furniture so it was hard to get comfy when you did want to just chill. Close to a lot of things but driving is a must.

Little Venice

The house was very clean and well stocked. Communication was great with the property manager and we enjoyed our stay for the most part. We paid extra to have the pool heated for our December stay because we knew the weather was going to be cooler but still wanted to use the pool. The pool was not heated for our stay and we were unable to use it after the first 2 days when the temperature dropped. Someone did come out and check the heat right away after I messaged the property manager but it was not fixed. They did promptly refund my money but it was a disappointment. Also, the view of the ocean from the patio was blocked by the neighbors 2 large boats. That is not something the rental house could control and should not be a reflection on them but it was a disappointment for me because I wanted a view of the ocean. We were right on the canal which was nice and there was a manatee that came to visit several times. It overall was a nice stay in a beautiful and clean house with everything we needed except for the pool heat and boats blocking my view of the ocean. If those 2 things were not obstacles it would have been the perfect stay.

Loves the place only thing I didn’t like was the “couch” was a outside lounge couch very very uncomfortable, and the mattress in the king size bedroom wasn’t very comfortable, and no tv in bedroom But overall it was wonderful Change the couch and mattress it would be 5** all the way loves the place

Dream week in Keys

It was a wonderful house.Everything was just as pictured on the website.The dock was very convenient for keeping the boat at the house. We loved how close the house was to the Vaca Cut, making for easy access to the ocean or gulf.Great week.

Clean, great location, uncomfortable

House was very clean but the furnishings were just horrible. I was embarrassed because my friends and family were so uncomfortable. I certainly didn’t expect antiquated furniture for the premium I paid for the week. The mattresses in every room should have been replaced years ago and the outdoor sofa that was used as an indoor sofa was so unbelievably uncomfortable to sit on. We decided to leave 2 days early bc we couldn’t get a good night sleep. Trying to reach a management office was impossible, no one responded to inquiry, no phone number to call, only point of contact was a text. I’d only return if they replaced mattresses and sofa and get rid of some of home decorations which made it difficult to find open counter space for 4 peoples belongings. Also 4 people should be the max at this place it’s just too small. It would be nice to buy some plastic tumblers for outdoor cocktails. The pool was fine but small, more like an oversized hot tub. The best feature was being outside on the canal.

Great location for boating

Nice home on the canal. Great for taking the boat out to fish every day. Comfortable beds and it was nice having a washer and dryer available. Home does need more pots,pans and cookie sheets for cooking at the house.

Summer Family Vacation

We travel to the Keys every year for our family vacation, this was our first time at this home. This house was absolutely perfect in every way! The house was clean, comfortable, fully stocked kitchen, great location, very boat friendly and an awesome pool perfect for cooling off at the end of the day. We look forward to returning to this house!

Great place

We had a great time. Pool was a little green but overall, we had a wonderful time. Easy access to the Atlantic and Gulf for boaters. As the add says it's tight getting boat trailer in but is doable for the experienced backer.

awesome stay in marathon for fishing

excellent location and great place for those traveling into town for fishing. we had a 24 foot center console boat that easily fit at the dock and was a quick exit into the atlantic. kitchen was outstanding and was great to have an outside filet table!! bathrooms were tricky as we had 2 couples and 1 with kids. one of the bathrooms is in the room with the bunkbeds. our friends just shared this bathroom with their kids and we had the other bathroom with the washer/dryer. bathrooms were great- excellent water pressure! would definitely stay here again.

Cute house, good location

This house was conveniently located and true to its description. We rented a boat, kept it at the dock, and delighted in all the amenities this property had to offer. The property management team was very responsive & came out right away for a minor repair. The neighbors were friendly and we enjoyed a partial view of the ocean from the front of the house. There are a couple of hurricanes houses being renovated directly across the canal from this house, which we didn’t expect based on price paid to rent here. These were kind of eye sore, but also meant quiet with no one occupying them. My only recommendation is to leave a mop. I swept daily, but would’ve been happy to mop a little to help clean floors cleaner. Overall, we recommend!!

Beautiful home and perfect location

We spent a week at this home during spring break with our college-aged children. We rented a boat from a nearby marina and had no problem docking it right by the house. We did choose the option to heat the pool being that it’s March in Florida and not always warm water temps.. It made it the perfect temperature! We usually finished our day sitting in the pool watching the boats go by. One day a manatee stopped by and we gave it freshwater from the hose. Definitely a highlight of the trip.

Perfect! Great!

We really loved staying at this house in "little Venice" in Marathon. Kitchen is unbelievable, fantastic bathroom and the ocean is like right there! Manatees visited us at the dock too. We will stay here again

We stayed 10 nights here in January 2022. This home was located in a central location just 2 miles from major grocery shopping and about a 10 minute car ride from Sombrero Beach. It was an easy one hour drive South to Key West and about 30 minutes North to Islamorada and the Bass Pro shop. The dock was perfect for the 24 foot boat we rented. There was a fish cleaning station although we didn’t have luck with edible fish. Although this home is just one house in from the Atlantic, it took about 15 minutes by boat to get out of the no wake zone due to the reefs and sandbar. The pool was nice and we enjoyed the outdoor bar table with awning at all times of the day. We saw manatees from the porch a few times. The beds were comfortable and there was an adequate supply of bath and beach towels for a family of five. When we arrived the house appeared clean minus a few major issues. The couch had a major stain (so we flipped the cushions) and the master bedspread had a stain that looked like fecal matter. We started our vacation washing the bedspread. When I emailed the managing company about this since we arrived late at night, I never heard back from them. The appliances were all fairly new and in excellent condition. The kitchen was fairly well stocked with all the basic dishes and utensils. A starter pack of supplies (toilet paper, paper towels, dish detergent) is provided but then you need to resupply. There are no spices, oil etc. but the Dollar Tree is just two blocks away. There is also a local gym, coffee shop, and bagel store in walking distance. The beds were comfortable; the master bed is definitely on the softer side. Likely we just missed this through the photos, but we were surprised there wasn’t an attached master bathroom. The bathroom the master uses had the washer/dryer and a nice deep freezer. The shower valve in this room needs to be replaced as it was either freezing or scalding making it unusable. The room with the bunks has the bathroom in it. We had a lovely stay, but for a family of five it was a bit small and for the cost we expected more.

Tiny paradise

Loved the canal right out back. We were able to rent a boat for a few days and easy access to both gulf and Atlantic sides. We saw manatees a few times and parrot fish right at the stairs. Also being able to bring our dog was a huge plus.

Great House

This home was perfect for our family. Beautiful view to the ocean, 2 manatees right off the dock, close to restaurants & stores. Heated pool was a must for my kids and they loved it. Would love to rent this house again in the keys.
