Absolutely Amazing Space! The Sunsets were epic! We spent every evening watching the fish and the boats roll by. Our son caught so many fish! He said this was one of his best vacations ever! Would definitely stay here again!

This property was absolutely stunning! We had the most wonderful time. The views of the Gulf, the sunsets....saw Dolphins and loved watching the pelicans. Muffet has thought of everything for a perfect stay. The living space was cozy and comfortable. We loved hearing the history of the space and the functionality was amazing. It's secluded and quiet, yet mere steps away from the hustle and bustle of Marathon. We biked most days to the beach....did a few day trips to explore, but our favorite times were relaxing at the property. We did not want to leave and are already planning our return trip.

Muffet (the host) is such a nice person. Considerate, helpful, laid back and quite funny. Very accommodating. The "apartment" was great. Had everything we needed. The property is a quiet oasis in a very busy area. Plenty of room and very beautiful spot. Fishing from the dock was very productive using chum from the bait store right down the street. Almost every sundown was spectacular! This is a very special spot. Highly recommend.

This was our third stay at Muffet’s beautiful home. Her home is spotless and the perfect amount of space for me and my husband. The entire property is a very peaceful area to get away from the stresses of life. She is such a kind and welcoming host and treats you like part of her family and allows you to feel at home when staying there. We can’t wait till we can return again.

Amazing stay. The property is just magical. We spent a lot of our vacation at the property. Best sunsets in the keys. Muffett is the best host and makes sure everything is perfect. Our accommodations were very neat and clean. Muffett has thought of everything you may need. The views of the Gulf were spectacular. Plus you could sit and watch the boats come in and out.The pool was perfect to cool off and relax.One of our favorite dinners was right next door at Key Fisheries. We loved our time spent here so much that we didn't want to leave. We are already planning our next getaway here. Muffett was a warm, friendly host. We loved talking with her. We both feel like we made a new friend on this vacation.

A slice of paradise

What a special place with so many personal touches that make a beautiful property feel like a home away from home. This worked perfectly for our family of three and we were so thankful for Muffett’s hospitality. It was a quiet place with beautiful sunsets and access to both a pool and private water access for snorkeling and swimming. We left property a few days but mostly just enjoyed all the beauty on site.

We had a fabulous vacation after a very long drive! From watching gorgeous sunsets and boats along the shore to fishing off the pier, Muffet's piece of paradise checked all of our boxes! A week in paradise

What a fantastic place to spend a vacation! We hopped in "the lagoon" almost every day for a swim or float. You have the option of sun or shade at the shore here too! We loved everything about this place.Our hostess, Muffet is an absolute peach. We will return for sure!!

Relaxing hideaway

This was our second stay at this wonderful property and it does not disappoint. The views are spectacular, the host is very accommodating, the rental is perfectly appointed. We had a relaxing time and loved the fishing on the property. We will be returning for sure!

Location was perfect 2 streets away from the boat ramp couldn't ask for better accommodations everything you could possibly need and more. First time we ever stay where the host lived on the same property, was a little concerned at first but Moffett was very nice and accommodating. Not your usual rental. This one has a great host that goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome. This place is off the path a bit, so you feel very safe weather you are there or not. There is a great sunset view and nice little pool to relax in. I will definitely try to stay here again.

Amazing Stay

Muffet is an outstanding host. The property has everything you would need and more. The sunsets are stunning. Marathon is in the middle of the keys so you can get to Key Largo or Key West in a short amount of time. I would highly recommend!!

Summer Stay 2024

Fantastic property and accommodations with superb views of the gulf coast. Sunsets were amazing. Owner made sure things were right and the stay was enjoyable. Marathon Key is centrally located in the keys, so our day trips to Key West, surrounding Keys and Everglades National Park were not all day car rides. Without hesitation we definitely stay here again.

I have lived in the Florida Keys for 30 years, and in this house for 24. When we first came to the Florida Keys my husband and I fell in love with it. It is the only place that comes anywhere close to the Bahamian Islands where I grew up and spent the first 12 years of my marriage. When it was time for our daughter to go to school, Marathon and this property was the perfect solution. My husband had been a shipwright and I had always loved working with wood which prompted us to start a Boat Refinishing business. I've always said, 'I get paid to play'. I continued the business successfully for 10 years until we had a Hurricane that did a great deal of damage to our property. I found It necessary to start the transition into working more on my house and less on my business. This was the best decision I have ever made. I love Building & Designing things and my years of experience with wood and varnish have given me the opportunity to make this property a beautiful and relaxing sanctuary for all to enjoy.
