Nice Rental

Loved the space! Communication and accommodation was great! We had the privilege to check in 2 hours earlier. Access to the pool and lots of yard was a plus!! Only reason we give 3 star to cleanliness of the property is because we found a few bed bugs. However everything else was great!

Hi Jessica. I just now see that you are saying you saw bugs. Because we are on a farm and do have a lot of fruit trees, we do deal with stink bugs, but they are completely harmless and are not bed bugs. We have an exterminator who comes every month to exterminate for any and all kinds of bugs. He says there are no bed bugs, only the normal country flies and, unfortunately, stink bugs which are now native to the Eastern United States. after having been first discovered in the Allentown area of PA. We do the best we can to keep them at bay but even churches and schools here in this area are dealing with them. In addition, when some guests leave the doors open, bugs come into the house. We have been in the vacation business for 48 years and have NEVER seen or had any bed bugs! I'm disappointed that you put this on our public reviews instead of contacting me when you were actually at the mansion when I could have handled the problem immediately for you. We have received over 1,500 5 star reviews between the 12 properties that we own and manage in Pennsylvania, Hawaii, and California and we have never received a 3 star review, this is our first and hope our last. Since you enjoyed yourself so much, I feel that such a drastic 3 stars is absolutely unjustified!!

Great property and attentive hosts

We had a group of 17 guys stay here for our annual get together and selected this property because it was within driving distance, would easily accommodate our group and would wow everyone attending. The place did not disappoint. We hit a few snags when we initially got there (the projector in the basement wasn't working properly (this was due to prior guests tampering with it) and the oven had some issues), but Violet and her team were quick to respond and help fix the problems or provide us with options to mitigate the problems. The property is just as it is represented in the pictures and the yard is even more impressive than the pictures represent. Overall we had a great time and wish we could've stayed longer. One tip for anyone booking, the property is near the PA/MD border so if you're planning to buy any alcohol for your stay I would highly recommend driving 5 mins down the road and going into MD to purchase as it is cheaper and more easily accessible.

Brian and his group are great guests he and his group left our Mansion in good shape and honored our house rules. We would love to have him back anytime at all at any of our properties. Family Thanksgiving

Property is just as described and the perfect location for our family as we were coming from different parts of the country. Our host was very communicative and seemed genuinely interested in making sure that our visit was enjoyable. The basement has a stage and it was a lot of fun for family karaoke and entertainment. Overall, a wonderful place for our Thanksgiving weekend!

Cozy Country Oasis

A great place for our group to spread out after days playing golf. A refreshing pool, great common areas and ample lawn space for yard games. A a great rural setting where you can escape the city with ease. 10 out of 10, would recommend.

New Years Eve Stay

Our time at violets house was lovely. The house is very private and had an amazing layout of the rooms. Violet was great to work with throughout the whole time and accommodated any request within reason. Overall we had a great time at this house.

Amazing host and property

Hosted a retreat at Violet's property, 10 people and we LOVED it. Wonderful location in the country, allowed us to get away from the city - house was clean, spacious, and welcoming. We had everything we needed. Violet was amazing to work with - very responsive and accommodating. She went above and beyond - highly recommend. Wish we stayed longer!

This amazing property is in the middle of our 81 acre farm. We love it because it’s very private and serene a great place to relax bond with each other. Also, it’s close enough to cities and airports like Baltimore, Maryland, Washington DC, Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, and the closest airport is Hagerstown Maryland. It’s within 10 minutes to Hagerstown, Maryland, 25 minutes to Martinsburg, West Virginia and 45 minutes to Winchester, Virginia., 30 Miles west of Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, and the President’s camp, camp. David is only 8 miles away. Very central location.

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

It’s like being in a five star resort. It’s upscale and has most amenities that people would want like an inground swimming pool. In that area if you want to pull, you’ll have to go to hotel not very many resorts have inground pools. We also have beautiful landscaping with a fish pond and beautiful flowerbeds. It’s also set up for small to large groups of people up to 32 people overnight and so we don’t charge our clients for the whole house. We work it out with them to rent the basic package which will include the entire first floor and the entire second floor and parts of the lower level this part of the Mansion is 6000 ft.² however once they get over 16 people we open up the rest of it which is another 1500 ft.² making the total 7,500 ft.² The lower level also includes a second fully equipped kitchen, another bathroom with a shower and also two additional large sleeping rooms that the accommodate eight people in each room for a total of an additional 16 people making the grand total 32 people that can stay at our Mansion overnight
