Convenient proximity to beach

Property did not match the photos on line but it did have great beach views. The property has not been maintained wet well. However, the property manager did respond quickly to the refrigerator not cooling. The best thing about the property was the close proximity to beach access.

We’ve been staying at this location for a few years. We actually done the granite countertops in it. Love the location and how close but quiet everything is. Will return soon.

Townhouse on Beach! 🏝

We really enjoyed our stay at this location. We loved being right on the beach. Only suggestion I have is umbrellas and a stand to keep some of the sun away.

Private townhouse with private beach, pet friendly. Stairs and walkway lead directly to private beach. Master bedroom has its own deck with beach view. Kitchen and bathrooms could use updating.

Beautiful view

Pros: view was fabulous on the beach. Patios were great with comfortable seating. Cons: The flooring in the downstairs was terrible. After complaining, rugs were brought over. That helped. The sofas were filthy and only one was a sleeper.

Great spot!

We stayed here because it's pet friendly. Our dog loved to be able to sun out on the patio. Even though it was right next to the public access there wasn't much traffic. The resident next door was friendly and quiet. It was a very relaxing and peaceful way to spend my 40th birthday!!

Family vacation

The property was nice. It could use a little updating. But overall we loved it. The only thing was that it was a dog friendly rental but we could not take our dog to the beach there. Would book again for sure.

So convenient and relaxing!

We loved the convenience of having the private access directly to the beach. We had everything we needed to prepare our meals at the rental with minimal need to leave the property, which is exactly what we were looking for. I would add that if you plan to prepare your meals at the rental, you will need to bring extra garbage bags and salt/pepper. We spent the majority of our time either on the beach or on the back deck. Perfect!!

Great location, space and views

Seaward 1 was a very nice townhome with awesome views and access to the beach over some dunes. It was well furnished and the beds were comfortable. A couple of items need to be fixed/replaced like the family room blind and a sliding door handle or two but besides that the home is in good shape. The two decks/porches were great for lounging or coffee in the am. We did spot a cockroach or two but that's to be expected, there was no infestation. Overall, it was a very pleasant stay and Panhandle Getaways was easy to work with.

Pass this one up

The property was extremely dirty with many items in need of repair. Bed linen wasn't clean, floors filthy, air registers and fan blades caked with dust and food crumbs everywhere. We even had to wash the trash can before we could use it. No wifi, no hot tub, stairs and floor damaged creating a trip hazard, bathroom faucet broken, no refrigerator for first 24 hours as it wasn't cool upon arrival. In addition the next door neighbor owns his unit and hates renters he was nasty cursing at us, threatening our dog and throwing bottles over from his place to ours. The views are awesome and the check in process seamless. Was a sad vacation.

Needs UPDATING

I know these properties get a lot of use. This one needs updating. Needs a good cleaning the whole place. Kitchen needs organization and new cutting board and plastic glasses. Need new sheets. Need new towels. New mattress. Floor is coming apart in some areas. Steps need fixing. It would be nice to have at least 2 beach chairs. Underneath the condo is a mess. The deck lounge chairs need cushions. I’ve stayed at panhandle properties before. I understand these are used a lot. But comes a time when updating is needed. Grill rusty and gross. I would not stay again.

Nice location. Very run down. Several broken appliances. They don't care.

Let me start by saying that the location was beautiful and right on the beach. They were very accommodating about our dogs, which I really appreciated. The neighbor, which I read about in a previous post, was actually very nice. However, the state of the house was not ideal. The floor is buckling pretty much all over the house, which honestly wasn't that big of deal, had the stove AND dishwasher not been broken. When we reported this, they said they would send someone. When no one showed up the next day, I followed up, only to be told that they would come the following day(two days later). No apology, just "They'll be there tomorrow." Once the maintenance people came and informed us that the dishwasher and stove were unfixable and needed to be replaced, we heard NOTHING from the management. I understand that things happen, and these things are out of their control sometimes, but we didn't even get a "Sorry for the inconvenience." In fact, we still haven't heard a peep, even though we have since checked out, with no ability to use the stove or dishwasher the whole time. Also, the water filter was in need of changing, and other things throughout were not well kept up. It felt like we were paying for a house with well kept features, while given one in a considerably run down state. I would not stay in a house run by this company again.

Beautiful view that desperately needs refurbishing

The condo is a great location with a beautiful view. However, it was not clean upon arrival. The master bed sheets weren’t even washed they had sand in them when I got in bed after arriving from a Long drive. There was a dead bug in the downstairs powder room, and sand all over the floors. With just a little help this place could be amazing. All the beds are extremely uncomfortable which is quiet disappointing considering the great expense to rent the unit. It’s appalling that so many rentals don’t have comfortable clean mattresses. After working hard to afford a vacation People want And Deserve a good nights sleep while vacationing. The TVs were ridiculously old and didn’t function properly. Great view though and with some Minor refreshing could be an amazing condo.

Good Stay with some Issues!!!

The location is great and dealing with Panhandle is a pleasure. We had a good stay; the condo has everything you need. I noticed that the problems that were listed in previous reviews, still exist. For instance, the property is very dated; some things like counter tops have been renovated but other stuff is still very old. The floor in spots seems to be coming unglued from the bottom. The furniture is very old. The bed in master makes awful noise while getting in and out of bed. The decks are very old and need attention. One of the mirrors in the living room had a long crack from one side to the other. We noticed the Air Conditioning return vents were so filthy, they were black. I tried to clean them the best I could and gave up. I reported these things to maintenance for future guests but I don't think they paid much attention to me. I think the owner should get a different maintenance company to maintain the property.

Ok place to stay

I wasn’t aware that all the bedrooms and full bathrooms were upstairs. This made it difficult for me since I just had knee replacement surgery. Nothing here is any kind of accessible so for me the stay was manageable but difficult. The master bed was extremely hard. The curtains could be thicker and darker so don’t plan on sleeping late in the master or going to bed early with all the flashlights coming through. The half bath downstairs wasn’t cleaned but they did offer to come back and Clean again. Otherwise the condo was nice and in a great location. The outside downstairs area needs trimming because it was difficult to get through the grass to get to the beach. The only other thing was the neighbors that live there smoke which was awful since the decks are right against them which only bothered me so if you smoke that shouldn’t be a big deal. The place is pet friendly but limited places to take your dogs to the bathroom and they aren’t allowed on the beach. The kitchen was very nice and stocked well. I liked the coffee pot that has also a single serve option! Everything else was great! So overall this is an ok place to stay.

A good location, but....

This townhouse was in a great location central to everything. Being an end unit you have a little more privacy on the deck and the views were amazing. There is a public beach access point right next to the unit, so expect people to spill over onto the "private" beach area in front of the townhouses. When we arrived we discovered there was no longer a grill or an umbrella on the deck; we really missed having an umbrella. The deck is mostly uncovered and is the only unit without at least one umbrella for shade; we had to come in at times or constantly move around to try to stay in the shade. I wiped most of the tables and counters down upon our arrival and was surprised at how much dust and grime was on the surfaces; I think we left it cleaner than we found it. The master bedroom has a very hard mattress and creaks loudly, so we woke each other up if one of us moved. The railing on the main deck seemed to have been replaced but the railing on the upper balcony wasn't and it was clearly loose and needed replaced, we wouldn't lean on it because it was so wobbly but the view was great. There's no cable tv of any sort so you only get about three channels. When we were there, we got the impression that this was a party house and that people were pretty rough on it. And that the property management doesn't seem to care enough to properly clean and maintain it. If you like to have a more of a retreat that feels nice and clean, this is not it. If you have kids or need a good value this might be a good pick for you.

Thanksgiving 2020

We enjoyed our stay at Seaward very much. While updates of counters and appliances have been done. The rest is a 70's theme of from cabinets to furniture, kitchen supplies, etc. The two main troubling things for our crew were the shape of the deck and lack of a mattress in one of the bedrooms. Sleeping on a 4" old yellow piece of foam was not what I had in mind when renting this house. Also the deck is in massive need of repairs. It is a lawsuit waiting to happen. Regardless of whF might be said about it, this deck has been in horrible shape for many, many years. Reports have been made and the property owner has chosen not to fix it. The location and proximity to the beach was amazing. The morning and evening views perfect. House keeping worked well with what they had. Again, older townhouse in Southern Florida. We all know how harsh the elements can be. Yet the lack of mattress and deck should be addressed.

My husband and I enjoyed our stay at Seaward. Website images were very accurate. The view is amazing. Location is easy to get to. The only negatives were hard mattresses, thin curtains, and sides of lower and upper decks are in disrepair. Overall, nice place to stay.

Very disappointed for the price!

Townhouse has not been maintained on many levels. Stained/damaged furniture, poor housekeeping, house in disrepair, grounds unkempt. Notified property management for electrical issues, as well. Incredibly disappointed, this place has so much potential. We've stayed in PCB over 12 yrs & this was our worst experience (by miles) for what it cost us.
