Welcome to Oahu's North Shore, home of the world-famous Triple Crown surf competitions.

This clean and spacious 2-bedroom, 1 full bathroom lower level ohana has a private entrance and is an easy walk to North Shore's most famous surfing beaches, including Banzai Pipeline, Sunset Beach, and Velzyland. Stroll along 7 miles of pristine sand, or bike the 4-mile oceanfront path right outside your door! This property is also child-friendly and close to several of Hawaii's best snorkel, swim, and dive spots including:
Shark's cove (2.8 miles)
Three Tables (3 miles)
Waimea Bay (3.3 miles)
Lanikea; aka "turtle beach" (5.5 miles)

The fully furnished lower-level ohana offers a full size kitchen and open concept living area, a large capacity washer and dryer, a spacious lanai with a charcoal grill, dining table, and outdoor sofa, as well as an additional outdoor hot and cold shower. Ample windows in all rooms promise lots of sunlight and fresh tropical breezes throughout the space. Wifi/internet and Smart T.V. are also provided. The unit has two bedrooms, each with a queen bed and ample closet space, plus a futon that sleeps two in the family room.

If you're looking for a break from the beach, there are plenty of land-loving adventures that include ziplining, horseback riding, motocross, hiking, dining, luaus, and shopping all within a few short miles of the ohana. Take a quick drive to many of North Shore's most popular tourist destinations:

Great Location, just steps away from a great, quiet beach

The outdoor patio was beautiful for meals and we loved showering the sand off at the warm outside shower. Gary was a friendly, helpful host who provided boogie boards and snorkels and advice when we needed it. The house was comfortable and had everything we needed at our base of operations for North Shore adventures. Awesome stay.

Clean with a great location on the N. Shore

Had a great time staying at Bev and Gary's place! Both of them are very nice people and provide a great, affordable rental on the N. Shore. Bonus is they provide all your snorkel gear, a surf board and body boards along with 2 bicycles! We enjoyed the proximity to the beach (a short walk across they HWY) with barely anyone there! You can walk to Teds bakery for breakfast (huge portions!) or some pie. Loved staying on the N. shore compared to Waikiki.

Nice unit and location

The unit was exactly as advertised. The location is on a residential street but close to the beach. If you are familiar with the east coast, this would be considered 5th house from beach. The beds were comfortable. The A/C worked well. The kitchen was well supplied. There is a hair drier, shampoo, and toilet paper when you arrive. The beach equipment and bikes were all in good or new condition and plentiful. Towels were also plentiful. A washer and dryer are also there. There is a private entrance. Things that could be seen as negative are, only one bathroom, but with a tub and shower, unit is small if you were there during rain and had 4 or 6 guests, there is only one TV and only offers Netflix, no cable, and the living room furniture is uncomfortable to sit on, couch is a futon/daybed. All that being said, we totally enjoyed being here. There is more space than a hotel room, with better amenities. We spent little time awake here so it met all of our needs, clean, shower, bed, A/C, fridge, and beach equipment. If your looking for something off the beaten path you will feel at home. If your looking for a five star resort, go somewhere else. Would recommend this unit to friends> Thank you for a wonderful stay

The Best!

We've stayed in rentals in this area many times over the years, and this was one of the very best rental experiences we've had! The owners are very thoughtful and helpful, and their family was very kind to our children as well. The property is beautiful and comes with many conveniences to boot. The kitchen was well-stocked. We loved having bikes to use along the bike path, and the provision beach equipment was wonderful. We absolutely love this part of the island, and we definitely hope to come back to this property!

What A Delight!

What an amazing experience for our first VRBO! The home was just what we needed for our families adventures on the North Shore!! Gary was fantastic! Taking the time to show us the best place on the beach for our littles, and advising on different activities and dining experiences. Enjoyed every conversation we had with him during our stay. Will definitely stay again when we come back. Thank you Gary for helping us create amazing memories!!

Perfect location

Perfect spot for our time in Oahu! We loved the North Shore beaches and the location of this house! The beach access was easy and a really quiet beach- it felt like you had it to yourself! We liked being close to food, other beaches and close to the eastern edge of the North Shore. Gary was an excellent host- there when we needed but left us alone when we didn’t . He was helpful with info about the area and beaches. The condo was well stocked and had what we needed. The futon is showing some age but otherwise clean and sufficient for our family of four.

Gary was very pleasant and his home was very comfortable. As I am a native of Hawaii, I was very pleased on his mannerism of having much aloha spirit. He was very detailed about everything and he was very helpful with beach information. He was a great guy and the location was absolutely the best, I wouldn't stay anywhere else! Thank You Gary!

Would I recommend staying here? Yes. Yes I would.

My family spent 7 nights in this perfect home away from home. We decided to prepare breakfast and simple dinners at the apartment and explored the island during the day. Groceries were convenient and all the things one needs to cook were easy to find in the unit. The extras that Gary made available (beach chairs, boogie boards,cooler) meant we didn't have to go buy or rent these things to enjoy the various beaches. We missed meeting Gary but his brother Robert was there in his stead and they made sure we had everything we needed and more. If you wanted to complain, the only room to do so was in the lack of air conditioning. After being away during the day the unit was pretty stuffy but we found that opening the doors and moving the air through it made it comfortable enough that it wasn't a big deal. I am happy to recommend staying here as a home base for an extended stay, this is a fantastic rental! Thank you Gary and Robert for being part of an amazing vacation!

Marvelous, Relaxing, Peaceful

Our family loved this rental. For my 1st time doing a rental I was not let down. Others will be compared to this. Close walk over to the beach, Ted's bakery, and no getting lost. The drive was absolutely gorgeous and not long to get where you needed to go, unlike the other side of the island. We will have to come back next year with the kids after their graduations. I highly recommend this house and would have loved to extend our stay. If I would have known. I would have done it. My kids were spoiled and they've compared everything from the other side to Gary's home.

Clean, comfortable and quiet

This home was very clean, comfortable and in a quiet neighborhood. The owner, Gary is very well versed in the local beach scene (among other things) and gave us a tour of the Venzyland beach across the street and told us where best to boogie board, swim, and or snorkel. He is in process of repainting outside of house, but that did not cause any problems for us. You can share the driveway with him so you are not parked on the street. He has bicycles, boogie boards, surf boards, snorkel equipment, coolers that you can use during your stay. The house has everything you'll need for a comfortable stay. I would definitely recommend this property and would stay again if ever in the North shore area.

great spot for some time at the beach

We really enjoyed our few days at Gary's place. It was close to a really fabulous beach, albeit across a busy road, and there were lots of toys and beach equipment which kept our little one happy. The space is large and comfortable with a large kitchen and good sized bedrooms. We enjoyed the lanai and bit of garden area. Gary was very welcoming and helpful. I would recommend this as a good spot for exploring the beaches of the North Shore.

Gary the owner is awesome, great Beach set up

Gary met us and immediately took us on a tour of the beach which is literally across the street. He showed us where the surf break is, where the rocks are where the calmest part of the beach is etc. Unit is clean and fully stocked with everything you will- ie tons of beach towels, chairs and boogie boards. He even had a SUP and surf board- if he doesn’t have enough or you want different boards Go Nuts surf rental is one street over and that guy is awesome and has the best deals anywhere- check out his reviews online Plenty of pots and pans to cook whatever you want. Gary is around to answer any questions you have, but is incognito if you want him to be- meaning you have to look for him to find him but he is more than willing to help you out. Place has 2 bedrooms and a futon in the living room. Laundry on site. Only has 1 bathroom but I knew that going in. Was a bit tight for 5 of us with 1 bathroom but no biggie. This place is close to everything on the North shore- 2 minutes from sunset beach, 5-10 minutes from Waimea Rock, 15 minutes from PCC and Temple. I would stay here again in a heart beat for the price location and Gary really tops it off with his knowledge and hospitality.

Close to the beach with everything you could need!

It was a great place! Nice being able to walk to the beach and to Ted's Bakery for food. The North Shore is the best part of Oahu in my opinion and with this place we didn't feel the need to go elsewhere very often. It was perfect!

Awesome holiday apartment close to the beach

We loved our time at Gary and Bev's place. Gary is super knowledgeable and even took us on a tour of the beach across the street so we knew where to swim vs body board. The apartment is super comfy with a great outside dining space and everything you'd need to be comfortable, including fans. We absolutely loved our stay and would definitely go back!
