Two Bedroom Ocean View Deluxe Luana Kai D204

D204 is a deluxe, 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom ocean view. The master bedroom has a king sized bed and the guest has a queen size bed. There is a sofa bed in the living room. D204 has large white stone tiled floors everywhere but the bedrooms which are carpeted. The kitchen has rich wood cabinets, recessed and hanging lights and a tile backsplash. The bar has a granite top and is cut out from the original design making the arrangement more spacious and accessible. The bathrooms have tiled showers with glass doors. Watch the sunset from bed in the master bedroom.  There is AC in the master bedroom and living room....not in the guest bedroom.  There are ceiling fans in all rooms.  Enjoy dining on the lanai while watching sunset or a rousing game of pickleball.  

Lovely pool area with hot tub, saunas & 5 gas bbq grills.  Tennis & pickleball courts.

Located on the 2nd floor, you are walking up 2 flights of stairs.

Cafe O’Lei at Rainbow Mall is one of Kihei’s premier steak and seafood restaurants and we highly recommend it. Cafe O’Lei is reasonably priced and the food can’t be beat. Here is a google map to Cafe O’lei. You can also reserve a special section for parties, including wedding receptions.

Nice place

Really nice place to stay. Manager entered our unit unannounced due to a possible leak downstairs. She apologized and explained the situation but it still was a bit off-putting. But that issue would not effect us staying here again.

Quiet vacation

This property is near our favorite area to vacation in. The property is nice and fairly well maintained. The master bedroom had a significant leak in the ceiling and the hall bath Faucet leaked from the stem. As soon as I informed mgt. they seemed to get right on it. The unit is nice.

Disgusting House and Management

For starters the house does not come with AC. It says that in the listing, BUT you are told you can call the night manager, for nightly fee they would turn it on. We were told by her absolutely not. Even after she knew we had a pregnant woman in the humid and very hot house. That she would not be going out at 7:30pm to help us turn it on. And to deal with the heat for the night, someone could do it in the morning. The house is remodeled in the kitchen and bathrooms but don’t let that fool you that the bedrooms are clean. The carpet was filthy and has stains, that could easily be cleaned but very clearly haven’t been. Our socks were black from walking around. The curtains are full of stains they make you not want to touch them at all. As well as the pillow shams on the bed. We had to wash the bedding before sleeping in it. There are two MASSIVE leaks in the ceiling in the master bedroom. If you luck out and don’t have a rainy days you’ll be fine, otherwise be prepared for sopping carpet and listening to constant heavy water drips. Overall the place was disgusting and I would never recommend this house to my enemy to stay. A small remodel would go along ways in this house. And a better management team.

Great location

The condo has spectacular view, close to the ocean, stores and restaurants. It was very clean as well. Our complaint was there were no shampoos/conditioners provided and very limited basic supplies like toilet paper, paper towel, etc. Overall, we enjoyed and love the place.

A lovely place situated convenient to our needs.

Overall, it was a great stay. I was surprised at checkout that I had to pay for the air conditioning, which was needed.

Luana Kai was built WITHOUT a/c. Only some owners have paid appx $15,000 to install it. Our electricity rates on Maui are outrageous. The $25 per day for a/c helps to cover the cost. A/c is not necessarily needed in our winter months. It's actually quiet pleasant and I even have guests who request additional blankets in those months. :-)

I am Leslie and I moved to Maui 40 years ago.  I immediately started work at Luana Kai in Kihei and am still here.  I am blessed to call Luana Kai my FAMILY.  I have had the pleasure of watching families grow up year after year and some who were babies when I started are coming back with their babies now.  Such a delight.
