Two Bedroom Ocean View Deluxe Luana Kai D307

D307 is a two bedroom, two bath with AC.  There is  a full ocean view of Molokini, Kahoolawe, Lanai, Maalaea Bay and the West Maui Mountains.  You can see wonderful sunsets, whales during high season and kite surfers on a windy day.  All can be enjoyed from the lanai and inside the condo.  The lanai has a dining table and chairs for relaxing while enjoying dining or the spectacular view.

The living room area has high beam ceilings along with a ceiling fan and a/c.  There is a tv and sofa bed in the living room.  The kitchen is remodeled and has granite countertops, stainless steel appliances and all of the cooking essentials you need.  

The master bedroom is in the upstairs loft area which looks down into the living room.  There is a spacious King size bed and a full bathroom with a shower (no tub).  There is a ceiling fan and air conditioning for your enjoyment.

The guest bedroom downstairs offers two twin beds, a ceiling fan and air conditioning. The guest bathroom features a tile vanity and a small tub with shower.

Our time at Luana Kai was fantastic. The room was spacious and clean. The kitchen had plenty of room for food prep and had a large variety of pots, pans, dishes, etc. the only thing it could really use is a good oven mitt and a meat thermometer. The ac worked well and the Internet was reliable and fast. The unit included ample paper toweling, toilet paper, dish soap, and washer pods. There is a really nice deck that overlooks the ocean with seating for four. As far as amenities go, this place really had it all. The ocean is right there, the pool area is really nice with one of the best grilling station/outdoor kitchens I have seen. There was even a range so you could cook your entire meal outside. All in all I felt like it checked all the boxes and would recommend it to anyone looking for a more low key atmosphere. Don't let that fool you though... there's great shopping and nightlife just a skip down the road.

Great location and good amenities. The only down side is that there is a pickle ball court that you get to look at that is not shown from the balcony in the pictures, it shows it is there but not shown in the view. 8 am every morning you will here the souds of the pickle ball court. Aside from that the bed was very comfortable and the property is very clean.

Incredible location and view

Waking up each morning to this stunning view is a true joy. The park view adds great character, with early morning paddlers, late afternoon dog-walking, and other activities. The beach is laden with coral and has a natural feel with the park adjacent. It's a beautiful place to take a walk and get some privacy. We visited a huge sea turtle daily who seems to live just nearby (to the left a bit). With this central location, you can easily get to West Maui and further South Shore, then return home to your paradise location.

Pickleball view

Great view of the Pickleball courts. See who is playing, then walk on down to challenge. Great view of the ocean. AC works great, but you need to pay a little extra. Everything you need is there. Our blender broke and they replaced it with a new one in 30 min. Wow.

As advertised, water-front condo in Maui. Very Family Friendly

My family and I (wife, two boys, 5 and 7, and Mom) stayed here and loved the condo. It has everything you need in the condo for cooking in the kitchen, going to the beach, etc. The laundry is a huge plus with kids! You will face the water and mountains from this unit. The location has a clean poo and hot tub, shuffleboard, and tennis/pickle ball right behind you. The beach is walking distance. Keep in mind, the upstairs bedroom is a loft that opens directly to the main living area which has a pull-out couch. The other bedroom has two single beds. We loved it and would come back.

Great Stay

Hi we loved our stay in this property the only complain I have is that the rules state no noice from 10pm to 8am but I guess the loud and obnoxious people that play tennis don’t honor that and around 630am-7 am they are already playing and being loud and it wakes you up. They need to fix that start time it makes the stay horrible not being able to sleep because of it. But either than that it was great in the condo thanks again for our stay.

Great condo

This condo is great the pictures don’t do it justice. We enjoyed our stay so much. The living area was smaller than I had expected but it was still very nice . We stayed for a week and enjoyed having coffee and watching whales every morning from the spacious lanai. We did struggle with the coffee pot every day. Not sure if it was operator error or not .. but we managed. The beds are very comfortable. There are 3 beach chairs you can use and a couple of different coolers as well. The kitchen is nicely stocked. Pickle ball courts are close and can be noisy in the morning but it’s fun to watch people. We always stay at a different location in Kihei and had to select another this year but we were not disappointed at all. Great location nicely equipped condo with great views. An easy short walk to a beautiful beach would definitely stay here again.

Wonderful view!

We stayed in unit D307 for 5 nights. The view was unbeatable! The unit was clean and had everything we could need. We were disappointed to learn that one of the 2 bedrooms was a loft with bathroom and no door(not even on the toilet area... there was absolutely no privacy, you could hear everything (Yes I mean everything from the bathroom throughout the unit). There was a door on the room, but it's an open loft. It was very hot in the unit when we arrived, you have to pay $25 a day for them to come manually unlock the AC if you want to use it. Once we got it cooled down, opening windows, it was okay but we already paid good money, they could offer free AC. There were a lot of kids at the pool area at all open pool hours, in the hot tub as well, even though it's posted that kids need to be off a certain height. That rule was not enforced but they definitely enforced closing the pool area at 9pm. Maybe they could have 9-11pm no kids at all in the pool area? Overall it was a really great place and I'd stay again!

Fantastic setting with a few quirks

We've stayed in many condos on Maui over the years, and this one had the best view of any we've stayed at - the panoramic ocean view is just unmatched, and the orientation of the unit meant we were able to enjoy many hours on the lanai without baking in direct sunlight. It is true that the unit overlooks the pickleball courts, but they are some distance away and I thought it was fun to watch the pickleballers while relaxing with a glass of wine. The lanai table was large enough for the 4 of us us to enjoy many meals outside. We had no need for A/C. The unit was decorated very nicely and there were plenty of towels and dishes, the washer and dryer were great. Just a few quirks to point out that might be useful for future renters - the staircase to the master loft bedroom is very difficult - the steps are hard tile, and each step is several inches shallower than a normal step. I am a woman with a size nine foot, and when I put my heel against the back of the step, my toes would hang over the edge. We had to duck-walk down and up the stairs, and the tile would be extremely dangerous and slick with wet feet. We don't have any physical issues in our family, but this would be important for anyone with mobility or vertigo issues. I actually told my kids not to go upstairs at all because I felt they were too dangerous. I'm not sure if ALL the staircases at Luana Kai are like this? Also, the master bathroom toilet and shower area is completely open to the loft - there used to be a pocket door, but it was removed for some reason. So, a person using the toilet is in the same space as a person in the bed. And, since it's a loft, there's no barrier between the upstairs toilet and the kitchen/living area, even though on different levels. If you're having a noisy time in the bathroom, someone sitting on the couch reading a book would have a noisy time as well. This was OK for our family, but could be awkward depending on who your travel partners are...Thank you for the lovely stay, hopefully this review is helpful for future travelers.

I reserved this a year ago- no mention at that time it had no elevator to reach the 3rd floor----3 flights of stairs for luggage and Costco shopping for 12 days was a bit too much! The plumbing in lower bathroom was a challenge ---other than that the view was wonderful! Kirsten

Wonderful property!

Our family of 5 spent 7 days at the property and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. It is it a great central location, beautifully kept and maintained. This unit has an unmatched view of the sunset! There are plenty of gas grills around the pool which we made good use of, and the property is a quick walk to the beach. I'd highly recommend!

Great View!

We enjoyed our stay here at Luana Kai. I was a bit nervous that the pictures wouldn't match reality, but the photos of this property are accurate. The view was beautiful! We could see whales breeching as we sat on the porch. You can also walk across the grass and straight to the beach. That being said, we had to walk along the beach for a little while to find a nice area to swim. The unit was clean and comfortable, but a little noisy in the morning as you are directly above a pickleball court and can expect to hear and see people on the court at 7 am. Overall, we had a nice experience at Luana Kai and would stay here again.

This condo suited our needs well. We loved the beach view and access. Great lanai for morning coffee and sunsets! The washer/dryer was a great feature as well as the beach chairs and cooler with frozen ice packs. The only thing we found awkward was the master bath upstairs. There is no door and the master is an open loft. We made it work and enjoyed the condo very much!

Incredible spot for a laid back family vacation

We loved the location, incredibly close to downtown Kihei, with accessibility to other spots on Maui. We especially loved being so close to the beach, while have a very laid back island vibe. Highly recommend!

I am Leslie and I moved to Maui 40 years ago.  I immediately started work at Luana Kai in Kihei and am still here.  I am blessed to call Luana Kai my FAMILY.  I have had the pleasure of watching families grow up year after year and some who were babies when I started are coming back with their babies now.  Such a delight.  

I am happy to say most of my employees have been here for 10 plus years.  We are on site in the front office and can take care of you.  We are a happy bunch and look forward to welcoming you to our Luana Kai home.
