1890's Homestead Cottage - Mountain Vineyard Getaway

This 800 square feet studio cottage is charming in every way. Surrounded by rolling hills it boasts lots of privacy and a beautiful raised bed garden.

This house is equipped with one King bed, a luxury bathroom, a huge double-sided fireplace, and a stunning kitchen, along with exquisite interior decor. The bathroom has both a sauna shower and heated floors. It also includes a washer, dryer, ironing board + iron, coffee maker, and cute porch for watching the birds and listening to the sounds of the mountains.

The Vineyard at High Holly is a working vineyard, vacation destination, and beautiful event venue. The vineyard is nestled on 30 acres of land in the picturesque Blue Ridge Mountains, between Clayton, GA and Highlands, NC.

As a guest you are welcome to explore and revel in the Vineyards beauty. There are walking paths throughout, a pond, several gardens with dahlias, vegetables, and flowers, 10.5 acres of grapes, and much more!

In addition, there is a very cool community area for our on-property guests to enjoy. It is a great place to hang out and enjoy the vineyard. It is equipped with a fire pit, bocce ball court, cornhole game, charcoal grills, and The Market; which has gifts, swag, provisions and more for purchase.

The area is known for its pristine landscapes, lovely people, and activities for all ages! There is ziplining, hiking, waterfalls, horseback riding, rafting, boating, fishing, golf, tubing – all within 30 minutes of the vineyard.

In addition to all the things to do outside, there is also some of the best restaurants, shopping, antiquing, and spas, are just a stone's throw away.

Thanksgiving getaway.

Wonderful Thanksgiving getaway! Property was amazing and the new market and fire pit area was great to unwind in the afternoon! Would highly recommend for a quiet relaxing getaway and only 10 minutes into downtown Highlands.

Beautiful

The rental was well appointed , quiet and a perfect size for two. The surroundings were beautiful. We walked and read and rested. Just what we needed. It all had a European vibe to it that I really enjoyed. I only wish we could have stayed longer, but duties and obligations call.

The location is perfect for a getaway and is only a short drive to a number of restaurants and activities. The cabin is so nice and well appointed.

Wonderful!

A lovely, well appointed Homestead. So well done, loved everything about it. Very comfortable King size bed. Lucky to have 2 evenings to sit out front and take in the views. Enjoyed having the property available to us to walk. Highly recommend. We’ll be back!

Sheer Serenity!!!

This quaint little cottage was perfect for a long weekend away from our hectic lives and busy schedules. The cottage is fabulous, our favorite was the rock fireplace in the middle of the living area. The land around the cottage is gorgeous! We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay! Rachel was wonderful and made sure we had everything we needed. We will definitely be back!

Great Cabin and Beautiful Views

My wife and I went to this property for a long weekend and we had a great time! The cabin is perfect for a couple to get away for a few days and unwind. The fireplace in the middle of the home made the cabin warm and had great feel to it. The property manager worked with me to schedule a couple's massage one night which was made even better by setting up the massage tables next to the fireplace. We enjoyed walking the grounds and the fenced in backyard was perfect for our dogs. We will definitely be going back for another getaway and we cannot wait to see book this cabin again.

Peaceful weekend getaway

Overall, very positive. The home was very clean and well stocked/furnished, sitting on a beautiful property, easy to find with a very private feel. However, we would suggest a more comfortable bed, specifically higher quality sheets, a warmer, cozier blanket and a couple more pillows.

Awesome Cottage

The cottage is awesome and just the perfect amount of space and location for my wife and I plus two pooches. It was quiet and quaint and provided the ability to decompress from the year as a whole. The yard was perfect for our dogs. We will be back to visit this property in the future!

Gorgeous property

This is such a lovely, well-appointed property. The home/property feels tucked away from the hustle and bustle of neighboring towns, but in reality is located conveniently near several of them (for shopping and dining). The fireplace is such a wonderful, cozy touch! We truly didn’t want to leave. Thanks to Rachel for her kind hospitality! ❤️

Perfect getaway for two

This was a wonderful cabin for two, in a perfect location for a weekend getaway to the mountains for my wife's birthday. The cabin itself is perfectly equipped and styled in a charming mix of rustic and Ultra-modern. The screened-in porch was great for coffee or a glass of wine, and the fenced-in yard was a great touch for our two dogs. Plenty of hiking trails and walks nearby, with great restaurants and shops within 15-20 minute drives. Rachel and Tyler were tremendous hosts, easy and quick to communicate with. This cabin is now firmly on our list for a return visit.

Wonderful property

Beautiful property - the vineyards are breathtaking. Rosie enjoyed the fenced yard immensely. The back porch was nice - could use more comfortable seating - a couch or chairs with foot rests. The cottage - beautifully restored with high end finishes. The bed - better if a King and needs better mattress. Just a few suggestions that do not take away from a great restful vacation. We looked for the bird with no luck!

This place was a dream

I cannot begin to describe how quaint and inviting the cottage was, it was beyond words. We had a marvelous stay. It was our honeymoon and we had the time of our lives. It is true to the pictures, only better. The hospitality of Rachel, the property manager was wonderful. She even dropped off a bottle of wine from the vineyard for us during our stay. The details and extra touches were amazing. We even were challenged to find a red cardinal figurine in the cottage, a mascot for the vineyard. It added a little touch of fun and mystery to our stay (we found it, quite proud to say). I would recommend this to anyone looking for a quite, peaceful getaway with lots of inspiration. We have decided it will be our getaway on every anniversary, a trip worth a really repeat.

Heaven at High Holly

We spent 6 wonderful nights at this property. It is beautifully appointed and the grounds are fabulous! Perfect romantic spot for 2 people. A great screened in porch and fenced in yard. Perfect as we brought our dog. In the welcome packet they mentioned hiding a miniature cardinal in the house. We searched high and low never found it! Wondering if anyone else who stayed there found it? We look forward to coming back when it’s cooler and using the beautiful double sided stone fire place!

One Of A Kind

The property was as photographed and described. The house was unique and the architectural interior details were well executed. While not photographed there's very nice screened porch and outdoor seating on the front lawn with a beautiful view. I wouldn't hesitate to return to this property.

Elegant cottege

I’m an architect it was a real pleasure to stay in a place that was obviously designed with great car by another architect. Beautifully detailed simple elegance for a “rustic” cottage The grounds were wonderful. The only minor negative was a bit of distant road noise. I’d highly recommend this cottege for two adults in love.
