BEACH SERVICES: Beach services at the Resorts of Pelican Beach is provided by La Dolce Vita. Hours are 9am to 5pm from March 1st through October 31st. All beach services are managed by La Dolce Vita under agreement with the Pelican Beach Resort Owners' Association. Policies are applicable to all guests and owners of the resort. Beach setups may be rented directly on the beach the day of, based on availability.

Parking notes: There is free parking available for 2 vehicles.
This rental is located on floor 217.



Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

So long Pelican Beach, we won't be back to your "Resort". Don't be fooled, the view out your balcony is to the East, so the umbrellas you see nicely spread in one row, so everybody gets a view is NOT Pelican Beach-- it's the property next door. You can't see what delights await you from here, but we'll get to that.The kitchen is the best part of this condo. Ice maker works, plenty of dishes, coffee maker could use an upgrade, but it gets the job done.TV remotes need new batteries, one flashlight under sink also needs new batteries.The roaring sound of the AC unit will certainly drown out the stomping and screaming of your neighbors, you will have to scream at your own family, so they can hear you, and don't even think about watching tv while it's running, because you cannot hear anything!!!???? You'll have to turn the fan off upon arrival, otherwise, it never kicks off. Why is it so loud?Sofa bed is falling apart & was unsuitable for sleeping.The sofa in general is filthy, outdated and the most uncomfortable piece of furniture. It belongs in a landfill. Fairly certain this property has the smallest beachfront in Destin. Literally, no room to swim or play in the sand because of all the people! (Same with the pools, don't be fooled that there are 3, because even 3 are not enough for 560 units full of families-- there was never room to swim--NEVER!! And why is the indoor pool not heated!!?? THAT pool was freezing in July??! )

Great place for families

This condo and resort is great for families. Close beach proximity, 2 pools great for kids, tiki bar by the pools was nice as well.

The room was just OK. We checked in at 4pm and upon arrival we noticed the couch cushions were just stacked up so we had to arrange them on the couch and they were wet and stained. Besides that issue and a couple random hairs in the shower the room seemed clean. We could only get a couple channels to work in the spare bedroom. I tried to get help with that but no response was ever received. There weren't very many kitchen utensils which wasn't a problem for us because we eat out on vacation, but for a family that cooks in the room that could be an issue. The pools were dirty and the beach was super crowded with umbrellas and chairs that you HAVE to rent. We weren't allowed to use our short beach chairs where the water meets the sand. Security would make you literally sit your butt in the sand beside your chair. That was aggravating. The cost to rent an umbrella and 5 chairs for the week was 675!!! That was ridiculous. This was our first and our last time staying at this resort.

Long waits for elevators and a couple of the elevators felt like saunas. The pools were dirty and the beach was super crowded with umbrellas and chairs that you HAVE to rent. We weren't allowed to use our short beach chairs where the water meets the sand. Umbrella security would make you literally sit your butt in the sand beside your chair. That was very aggravating. The cost to rent an umbrella and 5 chairs for the week was $675!!! That was ridiculous. We had to cut our trip short because our dog died and it was a major hassle trying to let them know that we needed to check out early and I kept getting emails and texts on our initial check out date after I had already spoke with someone to let them know we were checking out because of our dog dying. No one offered any condolences or refund which is understandable but still would have been a nice gesture. This was our first and our last time staying at this resort.

Poorly stocked, dirty!!

I should have headed the reviews talking about dirtiness. The couches are very gross. The doors and door frames are covered in grime. It "looks" ok at first, but then there's dirty dishes on the cabinet, dirty silverware tray, rusty patio table, stained sofa.

Needs a few upgrades

The room was clean and the resort was nice and a good location. However, the master bedroom furniture is falling apart. The beds are very uncomfortable and upon stripping the bed before checkout, we discovered that the pillows were disgusting and stained.

Much needed Relaxation

Weather wasn’t the greatest but it’s Spring in Florida still nicer than Home. Enjoyed our Three night trip and would stay here again.

I would not rent this unit again. Needs a lot of TLC floor, furniture and doors need a good scrub.

I loved that the property grounds were very clean and well keeper. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Close to all main attractions.

Perfect Beach Condo

We had a great stay! We had everything we needed and it is located close to everything! The beach is steps away and the pools great!! This unit has a washer/dryer inside which made keeping up with laundry from the water activities easy!!! Great condo!!

Great place

Overall a great place. Very clean and great views. Only one complaint and the one thing i wish the listing would have noted is the beach service chairs. Book your beach chairs early if you want close to the water. You can only set up personal chairs behind beach service chairs. With no view of the water. And both properties beside it are also private beach so you cant set up there either. They didnt have any left to rent that day so it was frustrating. We will know next time

Middle of the road

This rental was fine as far as space, and the view was nice. Other than that, it was very basic. The cleanliness of the place was fair at best, and the carpet really through me off considering we’re at the beach, and there’s sand tracked in and out.

Disgusting and poor service

Shower curtains covered in mold. Pull out couch had stains. Pile of sand on the carpet. Had to wipe counters down. Took multiple pictures of everything. Do not rent this place. I want my money back. Horrible experience. Spent half an our locked our on arrival to be hung up on twice before getting a code that would work. Luggage was soaked.

Smaller than it was describe, but cozy.

When we walked in it was smaller than we had thought it to be. But once we got settled in everything was intelligently laid out. Full kitchen with anything you could need to cook a home cooked meal, living room and balcony were like a peaceful escape from the long days of sights and fun. Only compliant is that the room with the queen bed was so small that pretty much only the bed could fit in the room.

Vacation at Pelican Beach Resort

Hot water: room not presented as what I was led to believe I was as renting. Needs a complete update. Please change the old green carpet. I did not feel clean the entire time I was there. No tv for one week. No instructions for working the tv. News was from weeks ago . Tv would turn off and go to another show in the middle of an old show. We finally kept it on just for noise. Sorry but this place is overpriced and rated for the beach.

Family vacation

Property definitely needing updating. The chairs on balcony and table were gross and I didn’t want to sit on them because they were disgusting. Kitchen chair was broken. When we arrived, there was a half eaten orange left on the couch… the dishwasher was broken, so we contacted the property manager, they said someone would be out Monday. Not sure if anyone was ever out. Never got notification that they were there. I washed the dishes we used the entire week except one dish that I ran the dishwasher to say we did. There were barely any dishes or cookware. I had to wash every dish before using them as they were all dirty. Not pleased with the unit. But We loved the resort. We will definitely be coming back to the resort!!! Everything was so clean, and the staff was extremely friendly, and loved all the activities! The beach was beautiful and we will definitely be back!!!!
