Brooks Cabin @ The Lone Star Farm

Tucked within The Lone Star Farm, Brooks Cabin is one of three thoughtfully curated cabins just minutes from downtown Round Top. Originally sourced from Barnwood Builders and reconstructed in 2019, this open-plan studio blends rustic authenticity with modern comfort. It sleeps up to 5 guests and features a full bath with dual sinks, a soaking tub, and a walk-in shower. Cabins can be booked individually or together with our three-suite farmhouse for larger group getaways.

The Lone Star Farm (LSF) is a private retreat less than 2 miles from downtown Round Top! Amenities on the property include a pool, pickleball court, catch and release fishing pond, large 200+ year old trees and a seasonal fire pit. The front 5 acres of the farm are maintained for guest use for an authentic country retreat! We manage LSF as a year round rental option for guests looking to relax and explore all Round Top has to offer. Between the 3 cabins and Farmhouse on the property, we can accommodate up to 20 guests and also have a community barn with a full kitchen and dining area which can be added to your stay for an additional fee.

Unexpected Paradise

We knew from the pictures the property was nice, but had no idea just how incredible our stay would actually be. From the private pool to the luxurious cabins this quickly became the perfect getaway. So much so we asked the owner if we could stay an additional night! A real hidden gem.

Perfect getaway

Property has fun antiques for photo opps and is well maintained. Spent all day in the pool. Make time to walk the property there’s a lot to see. The separate cabins make your stay private but found it tricky with small children. The kitchen cabin was nicely decorated and the table was big enough that we were all able to sit down and eat together. But the AC couldn’t keep up with the outside heat in kitchen. Overall we had a great time and would consider coming back.

Thanks for the great review! Our community barn is our next project to finish and by next year will have all new sliding doors which will help with insulation and allow guests to open up dining area to patio on cooler weather nights as well as more seating in the living area. Thanks again!

This is a wonderful property, but nearly impossible after dark. I had tried to call the Post and I sent him an email and we couldn’t find it. I think a picture of the front of the property help tremendously for those arriving.I believe that my email responded to by AIBecause I asked a few questions that were never answered that was probably not in your database to respond. Simple things like G I’m driving from California. What can I bring you!Or how does the TV work?

Birthday celebrations

What a great time to renew my faith in humanity! Jack personally delivered an item to my home that we left at the property. almost unheard if these days. The property was beautiful. We stayed in the three cabins and all were very clean upon arrival. We used the kitchen, pool and grounds. The pickleball court was great. We would return anytime ❣️

Paradise in the country

We had such a beautiful family trip in our favorite small town made even better by our stay at this beautiful property. Highly recommend staying here. We so enjoyed the property from the beautiful grounds to the pool, pickle ball court and fishing at the pond. The cabins are decorated so cute and have such nice bathrooms. This property is a hidden gem. We can’t wait to go back.

Top week of 2020’

It was a gift to find a spot that could host our family of 7, 5 college kids and one high school. With separate buildings for kids, we had peace but also a common spot to get together in the barn. The property is restful and gorgeous. We walked to Round Top once and enjoyed nearby sites. No problem to go in to Austin and Houston for the day! The house is curated with care, thoughtfulness, and an eye for quality.

Perfect Getaway

Property was absolutely amazing! We were three separate families and we were able to have time together but retreat to our cabins for private family time. We loved the pickle ball and the pool. All of us what to come back!

Return to the Farm

This was our second time to the farm. We came with two other families and very much enjoyed ourselves. We loved the addition of the pickle ball court! The kids were very pleased with the well stocked pond. They caught with almost every cast. It’s a wonderful property to spend time outdoors. We had a great time and can’t wait to return.

Beautiful & Unique Family Friendly Property

Beautiful, cozy cabins great for multiple families. Quiet and secluded location perfect for social distancing (but just a few minutes drive to Round Top). We stayed in the pool all day; it is fully shaded in the afternoon. We wish the community barn had a sofa and dishwasher, but we really enjoyed the large dining table for family meals. Amazing star gazing at night; we saw a meteor shower! We will recommend to family & friends!

Fantastic Adult Camp

We had three couples plus one. Three cabins more than accommodated all of us. There is a new “community building” nearing completion that will further enhance this ranch. Most of us stayed in the pool all day. We brought our own pop up shelters that helped escape the Texas summer sun. The current stove is induction so all the pans we brought wouldn’t work on them. Check in was a breeze and when we need help with son fire ants, someone was there in less than an hour to effectively take care of it. For our quarantine group it was just what we needed.

Absolutely Amazing

There were 10 of us and we had a wonderful time. The kids spent the majority of the days in the pool. We did a little fishing with the younger kids. It was nice to have the community barn to cook and sit down as a family for dinner. The cabins were perfect for all of us. I can’t wait to see the other house when it is finished. We will definitely be back!

Quiet Seclusion

My family wanted badly to see one another after months of quarantine. We found this wonderful farm that exceeded all our expectations. With multiple outdoor seating areas, The pool, pond, big open fields, and rescue cows out back. The large property allowed each individual family their own cabin as well as large communal areas for us to eat and visit with one another. The cabins were exquisite, with all the amenities you could ask for, fun decorations, and the whole family were impressed with how well all the AC units worked. ( it was extremely hot when we visited) The grounds were accessible and well kept and Jack and Dave were friendly and made themselves available for all our questions and even brought us pie on day 2. We are excited to see all the changes once they complete their plans for the property and We will most definitely come back to stay again. I can’t wait to enjoy the swing in the giant live oak in the future.

Heaven

We hadn’t been this relaxed in months. We had children from age 9-18, they all had something to do and somewhere to do it. The cabins were decorated fabulously and the hosts were easy to work with. We can’t wait to head back.
