Lovely basement apartment suite, includes 1 modern bedroom, newly remodeled full bathroom, 1200 sq ft mother-in-law suite with private rear entrance, chic full kitchen, three beds (1 queen, one small twin sofa bed, one full futon bed) full laundry with washer/dryer, shared covered/screened in patio and backyard. Very safe upscale location close to shopping areas and GMU.

Dog and child friendly!

Huge flat screen HDTV with Netflicks, Amazon Prime Video, and many more channels. Giant partially fenced in backyard with breathtaking wooded views. Upper two floor of the home are completely separate and generally occupied by the host or occasionally other renters.

Our stay was absolutely wonderful! The accommodations are top notch that include a kitchen, screened in back patio, washer and dryer. Totally a great stay!We were in town to see historical venues and this location was central to all. If we’re back in the area again, we will definitely stay here.

Clean, safe, convenient, attractive

I had to give this place five stars even though the description said full kitchen, which we were expecting to use, but it ended up not having a stove or oven, only a microwave. For most people that may be all that’s needed, and, if, so, everything else was ideal. I do think the listing description should be changed, however!

Convenient and comfortable

The check in process was very easy and the instructions were accurate. Although we did not eat meals there, it was very well equipped for cooking and even had condiments for guests. Loved the screened-in porch. Very comfortable bed also.

Great location! Minutes from GMU!

We came in for family weekend and brought our dog. We wanted to be near GMU and somewhere the dog would be comfortable. This was perfect. Only a few minutes from GMU and quiet. We will keep this in mind for future trips.

Great location

The basement apartment was great for our needs, we are older and visiting our grandkids. The screen in patio was a great place to have a quiet cup of coffee. The bed was VERY comfortable, the furniture was too. It came in handy to use the washer and dryer. Off street parking.

Great location

We stayed at this location to go to a concert at Eagle Bank Arena. It was only a five minute drive to the venue. It is in a quiet residential neighborhood with easy access to stores for supplies. The basement area was clean and had all that we needed. As a mother traveling with two teenage girls, I felt very safe at this location.

Adorable Place Near gMU!

I needed something close to GMU for a work event. It was perfect! The space is adorable and located in a nice neighborhood. The rooms are large too. The host is responsive and attentive. We enjoyed our stay and would happily stay there again.

Father & Son Hiking Getaway

My 18 year old son and I were in the area to do some hiking for a few days. This place was perfe t - I had my own room and my son had a very. Omfortable sleepaway couch with a large screen TV. Perfect location and size for tge 2 of us, close to so many places to eat and so many things to do. Communication with the owner was easy and helpful. Place was extremely clean in a safe area.

Fantastic apt just by GMU

Stayed here for 3 nights with my partner and his 81 year old mother while we attended graduation events at GMU. This apartment is perfect, and the hosts have thoughtfully provided just about anything a family could need for a comfortable stay--books, games, lots of extra blankets and pillows, even a guitar! The bedroom connects to the bathroom, which also can be entered from the living space, which is great for guests who might be sleeping on one of the sofa beds. The sidewalk to the basement apartment slopes downward a fair bit, but the place is otherwise pretty accessible for those with difficulty with too many steps (there is one step to enter the door, but that's it). I'll definitely be staying here again, and can't recommend it enough for anyone wanting to stay in the area.

Visiting new granddaughter

My first visit to see my new granddaughter and the new parents were worried about my big golden retriever being around the baby. The unit was neat and clean and the bed was very comfy. It’s in a nice quiet neighborhood and I would stay there again and recommend it to those visiting the area. The space is of course dog friendly.

Nice relaxing stay

Space was perfect for a 2 night stay in the area. Yard was great for our dog, enjoyed the sights and restaurants nearby. Very nice quiet neighborhood, everything you need within a few miles . Would visit again.

Sparkling Clean and Spacious

We had a great stay in this basement suite. Unlike many basement accommodations, this one was dry, airy and full of natural light. The bed is super comfortable, the kitchen is well appointed, and it's well stocked with toys, books, and extra linens should you need them. Keep in mind that it is the basement with a family living above, so while you might hear footsteps or murmuring from above, it is not disruptive. The neighborhood is great. Overall a very pleasant experience.

Excellent trip to northern Virginia!

My girlfriend and I had a great time visiting northern Virginia this past weekend. We were fortunate to find a last minute Vrbo home in Fairfax VA about a week before the trip. The location of the property was exceptionally ideal, and after the trip we felt very grateful to have found this gem. We rented the lower floor of the house where we stayed, and the space was cozy and fully equipped in every way for us providing what we needed in every way possible. We had our two dogs with us, and we had very easy access to the backyard for bathroom breaks for the pups. The bedroom was quite comfortable and was great for sleeping in both mornings of our stay. We enjoyed a cup of coffee from the keurig before heading out for a hike at great falls park. And for dinner we made a trip to a local favorite - honey pig! All and all we couldn’t have been more grateful for the perfect home base for our weekend getaway. We had an amazing time, and the trip flew by as we were enjoying ourself immensely. Thank you Burke and Sarah for being such great hosts for us over Memorial Day weeeknd! ☺️🙏

Comfortable and Safe

We felt very comfortable, safe neighborhood (because we walked our Labradoodle). Very clean, comfortable furniture and very comfortable bed they provide games, extra blankets, extra towels, very nice. They checked on us many times. 😀😀👏

Visit to Mom & Dad

I had a wonderful stay. I had a very busy three week visit with my elderly parents. Burke and Sarah's quiet and restful home was sort of a haven at then end of some long days! It was super clean and the bed was very comfortable. Their home is located in quiet and convenient neighborhood. Highly recommend!!

Relaxing Oasis
