Jeremy's Mountain Chalet is a perfect gathering place for groups of any size to rest and recover in between Alaskan adventures.

Please feel free to check yourself in any time after 4:00pm. I will provide you with a door access code that will expire once your stay is complete at 10am. Follow us on Instagram @jeremysmountainchalet

The large gourmet kitchen features an island and bar table with seating for 10. State of the art appliances and cookware are available for your use.
Enjoy the spacious living room with a wood burning stove and plenty of cushy seating to soak up gorgeous views of Mount Alyeska!
The theater and bedroom in the loft is accessible by ladder and is the perfect spot for watching a movie at the end of long days spent exploring our great state.
Comfy bedrooms are around every corner on the second floor with newly purchased mattresses and bedding to ensure a great nights rest. The master bedroom contains a walk-in closet, a spa tub, and a shower with a steam room function for unmatched relaxation and self-care.

I am available by cell phone if there is an emergency or you simply can't figure out how something works!
Renters that clean the vacation rental live in the mother-in-law unit on the ground floor. Any communication with cleaners can be run through me. The mother-in-law has a separate entrance and no access to the main house. Please allow room for the first floor apartment folks to get out of the driveway. The garage and a pantry on the third floor remain locked for my storage.

Girdwood is a fantastic Alaskan experience. Girdwood brewing is a 7 minute walk, (3 if you cut through the meadow!) Alyeska resort of course provides the best of Alaska resort skiing and also backcountry/heli-skiing adventures nearby. Winner creek is a great hiking trail in the summer. If you don't mind some vertical elevation, the North Face Trail is open in the summer and rewards you with great views of the turnagain arm mountains. You can still get to these views by taking the tram to the top!

Please be advised that there are multiple flights of stairs in the building that may require additional assistance for guests who may need it.

Mountain retreat

The house was set with a great backdrop of mountains, which you were able to look at through huge windows. Some rooms had barn door type doors, so not as private. Bathrooms all had tub/showers with what seemed like higher tubs than normal.

Full family vacation

We had a great stay a Jeremy’s mountain. My whole family of 20 enjoyed the house and location. It is nicely located in Girdwood with access to many hikes. 40 minutes to anchorage and good access to the Kenai Peninsula.

Incredible Views & Great Location

The views from this home are amazing. Everything is close by. This place will house a bunch of adults. Four can have their own rooms, and one more can be in the loft.

Yearly Girdwood Family Trip

The host provided excellent communications, and the listing was all that it advertised to be. A few suggestions: the kitchen pot/pans need to be replaced badly, the stove and oven need a good cleaning, pot holders and paper towels would have been helpful.

Overall Wonderful

Overall the stay was great, the rooms had everything you needed and plenty of room for everyone! There was a surprise with a in-unit (separate space) dwelling that was occupied, however, they were very kind, and even though we did have later nights they never seemed to be bothered. The only reason I gave it 4 stars was for the overall upkeep, there were missing bathroom door locks, broken bedframes, broken microwave, dirty dishes, and overall just a bit beat up of a place. But hey they allow parties and that's too be expected with larger groups. Very funky layout but we had fun with it. Ryan, the owner was super nice and very responsive. We had squirrels get into our recycling and he let me know, as there are cameras on the recycling bins, he was patient with us as we were away for the day to handle the situation. Overall would recommend it for larger parties!! Thank you Ryan!!

A home away from home

Our family of 16 had 3 enjoyable days at this property. The quiet neighborhood, outstanding view, and well-stocked home helped us settle in. The children thought the loft hang-out area was cool. Ryan was very responsive before we arrived and during a medical emergency on our last day. I would like to make 2 suggestions. Supply all bedrooms with sun blocking window coverings and consider installing a handrail coming up from the front door.

Family Vacation

We traveled with 16 people, four under the age of four and had a wonderful time! There was plenty of room to spread out and so many great places to all spend time together to eat and play games as well! Communication was absolutely perfect!

Fantastic big space

Great house for a big group, especially with kids as there is a big bunk room and lots of space to play. It is located in a great part of Girdwood and easy access to everything. Heated floors are a big plus! The kitchen has everything you would need and the host was very responsive. Travelers should know the lower part of the house is a separate unit occupied by caretakers and there are a decent number of stairs. Also there is limited room for gear so if you are coming for skiing/riding gear will live in the hallways (which are big but at the top of a long staircase).

Perfect Stay in Girdwood

Family Getaway

An incredible Alaskan adventure. Absolutely spectacular location and views. The oversized great room on the main floor was perfect for family time when we weren't exploring Alaska. The house was sparkling clean, crisply appointed, and fully stocked with all we needed. The steam heated shower in the master bath was greatly appreciated on chilly damp Alaskan days. A true Alaskan gem.

Very nice house

The property was excellent for the eight of us. The bedrooms and bathrooms were more than adequate. The kitchen had everything we needed. The cookware was fine and the refrigerator was very large. We had three vehicles and parking was no problem. I would definitely recommend.

I grew up in Alaska and learned to love the outdoors at a young age. My main passion is running and playing in the mountains, but I enjoy anything outdoors. During the day I play the part of an engineer working to keep industrial equipment operating. Outside of work, you can find me on the trails, mountains, and local breweries.

My brother and I co-own this property and we have a larger extended family. We picked this one because we love the outdoors and want to encourage our family to visit more often. We recently had our first family trip and it was everything we dreamed of!

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

The chalet can handle larger groups than the vast majority of places in Girdwood and there are so many separate floors that people aren't jammed together to make it work either. It is also a 5 min walk to Girdwood Brewing.
