Cute Beach Cottage, Well located, furnished and equipped

We booked "Beach Day" on pretty short notice for Memorial Day weekend for just me and my wife. We were pleasantly surprised with the place, the furnishings, the many thoughtful touches, how well stocked it was and it's proximity to the beach. The perfect place for a couple and maybe a child or two as it is cute but small! Loved the screen porch too!

Family Beach Stay

My wife and I took our son's girlfriend to se our son who is in Marine training. He had a small windows of liberty so we booked this house so we could spend out time at the beach. The house was perfect size for the 4 of us. It had a nice beach vibe. The beach was only a block away so access was easy.
4th of July on the beach.
The sound of the waves and the great weather was very relaxing.

We enjoyed our stay here. It’s in a great location, about 10 minutes from Surf City and 2nd row from the beach. There was a hose outside that came in handy to give my dog a bath. Although, the shower outside did not work for us, which wasn’t a big deal because the cold water helped with the heat, instead we used the hose for after the beach visits. Note that they do charge a linen fee! The front lawn wasn’t cut which lead to a few family members stepping on small cactus’s. Luckily our dog didn’t step on them. We also felt that communication with the property manager could’ve been better, as it led up to a lot of confusion, weeks prior to check-in. We called them and were able to straighten everything out. During our second day, we swept and found grey curly old hair/dog hair behind the bedroom doors. They did have boogie boards and beach chairs which came in handy. Overall, a decent vacation stay for the weekend.

Great Stay

I truly want thank the owners for trusting my family and I to use their place at the beach. It was the perfect distant from the beach had everything I forgot to bring. Before I take my things in a rental, I go in and make sure there is nothing that might be a problem for me. Only thing was the floor needed a good sweeping and moping. Under the beds around the furniture, no big deal. Had internet problems, called and was fixed next day. This wasn't for entertainment, my husband had work. You do need to be a Rocket Scientist to work the TV or have your own logins. Fire Stick worked really well, glad we brought one. We enjoyed our stay and would visit Beachy Day again.

I write this mostly with the hopes that the homeowner will see it, because I think (hope) you don’t expect your property manager to treat your renters the way we were treated. First, we received an urgent email 72 hours before checkin saying to bring our own bedding and toilet paper. When I called to ask about this, your property manager was rude and told me it was ridiculous to even ask, but they’d provide bedding as a ‘courtesy’. When we arrived, things were a mess. Crumbs in the beds. But the bedding was thrown inside the doorway, wrapped in plastic. My wife scrubbed the whole house while I loaded our luggage and toddler into the property. Consider this a ‘courtesy’.

Wonderful!

Beachy Day is beautifully decorated in a beach theme, very clean, comfortable and well stocked. Only a short walk to the private beach access, and a short drive to amenities. Excellent communications with the owners. Would definitely come back!

Sweet little house for our family of 4

The house is in a nice quiet location with a quick walk to the beach. It was very clean and although rooms were small, it was just what we needed! The screened in porch was my favorite! The kitchen was well stocked! Thank God you had sugar because I forgot mine for my coffee! I also loved the swing down on the patio! The water hose down there was so helpful to get the sand off! Overall a great stay for our family of four!

Overall effortless vacation

Everything was simply set up that very little effort was required to enjoy the space loved play picnic table and outdoor shower, location was great just the right size for us. The only think is small roaches were in every room. Bug sprayed the doorways closed the bathroom and block drains to minimize their entry point but on the last night everyone lost sleep… we found small roaches in both beds

Relaxing vacation

It was a relaxing getaway, very close to the beach! The beach isn't crowded, as it is private access only. Luckily, we brought our own firestick, as the TV had 0 channels, not even local ones. We would rent again!

Cute but some issues

Television remotes did not work with TVs in bedrooms. Batteries were changed but still not usable. Much needed for a rainy week. There is a significant roach problem. We experienced water loss twice. Not sure if neighbor kids kept turning off main source but building management did send someone the first time to show us a main valve for the home. Weird! Cute bungalow style with amenities to get by. Would not recommend for a family.
