I very much regret that you and your friends were disappointed in your stay. I also regret that you felt I had misrepresented the property. The photographs accurately show exactly what is furnished in each room. You told me that you expected an actual twin bed in addition to the king bed in one of the bedrooms (though none is pictured); but if you read my online description, it specifies that the twin is a rollaway bed. I didn’t find out that the frame for it was broken until immediately before your arrival. A new one was ordered, but unfortunately there was no way to get the replacement before your arrival. The owners left the mattress there for someone to use if needed. Since your friend was forced to use our queen sized sofa bed rather than the twin rollaway, I had hoped that would provide a suitable and more comfortable substitute. I apologize if it didn’t. After we spoke on the phone and you told me that the pool was green, I sent my housekeeper over to check and see if both pools in the complex were green. She sent me back photographs of a crystal clear blue pool directly in front of our condo. Several resident owners also told me that they had used both pools themselves all during the weekend that you stayed and that both pools were clean and crystal clear. The confusing part of all this for me was that you never mentioned one single complaint until the kitchen sink fell on the last night of your stay. Our granite countertops and undermount stainless steel sink has been there for approximately 8 years, when the kitchen remodel was done. I was just as stunned as you were to learn that the sink had fallen. When you told me that you had planned to cook your last meal in that evening, I gladly refunded enough money to compensate you for the groceries you had bought since I realize it was difficult to prepare a meal without a kitchen sink available. When you didn’t feel I was providing enough of a refund, that’s when I heard about your other complaints along with your request for 80% of your money back. I felt that 80% was an unreasonable refund request since you only had one evening without a kitchen sink (and another sink available about 10 ft. from the kitchen). It also seemed odd that you hadn’t complained about anything at all until I voluntarily offered you a refund, which you considered too small. Though I had anticipated this bad review, I sincerely regret the inconveniences you had. It was not our usual 5-star guest experience.
