Enjoy Gulf views from the back patio. Step out onto the boardwalk with your private gate. Three stories of beautifully decorated splendor.
The ground floor is a great room for kids and entertaining. The kids can watch the 40" television on the couch or accent chairs and enjoy the fun beach toys and games that the owner has provided. (BR1) There is a twin-full bunk bed, a Queen bed, and a toddler bed tucked underneath the stairs. The bathroom has a stand-alone shower and stackable washer/dryer.

The second level has expansive views of both the water and the beach. The kitchen has granite countertops, basic pots, pans, utensils, and Keurig for all your baking needs and even includes MARGARITA MACHINE. Sip your favorite beer or cocktail at the bar and watch the television that is in the kitchen. You will never feel left out of the conversation with ample seating of sofa, accent chairs, dining chairs, and bar stools. The bedroom on this floor (BR2) has a King-size bed, closet, TV, chest for beach attire, and access to a private deck. There is use of the hall bathroom which has a tub/shower.

The third floor has a comfy den with a large 55-inch HD TV, accent chairs, and a half bath. The master bedroom (BR3) has a King-size bed, nightstands, accent chair, access to a private balcony, and an ensuite bathroom with a stand-alone shower.

The entire back of the home is decked out for maximum view exposure to the water. Lots of seating and areas for grilling. Tiki-style cabana area to provide some shade after a long day at the beach.

This was a great place to stay with lots of room, a view of the ocean, and a very short, easy walk to the beach! Our host,Steve, provided good information and instructions and was quick with reponses to any questions. The opportunity to rent Beach Gear bikes and a trailer were a wonderful added bonus! It was exactly what we were looking for for our family vacation!

Beautiful property

We came for a quick getaway and this property was perfect. Plenty of space for our kids to stretch out. Location is wonderful and super easy to get on the beach. We would definitely stay here again.

When we arrived at the place we thought it was so cute, however, when we went downstairs, we noticed a strong odor which smelled very bad. However, one of the families was going to tough it out and stay down there, but upon further inspection, we noticed green mouse poop on the pillows, the bed, the floor & even notice some slightly larger animal poop upstairs. It’s unfortunate as we not only had children with us but also two of the women were pregnant. I wouldn’t expect anyone to sleep where mouse poop is, but it was especially unsettling with our young families. We called the host and they said there was another place they owned in the same area we could switch to, given the circumstances. It took a while for the cleaning/inspection person to check out that place before we got over there, but it ended up being way nicer and much cleaner than this house. We did end up still seeing some mouse poop at the new place in one of the clean towels that was rolled up in a drawer & a cockroach in the coffee maker, but we made the best of our stay. I appreciate the host for letting us switch houses and doing what they could to accommodate us. To be honest, the pink house (where we ended up staying) seemed much newer, cleaner & was a better layout for the kiddos anyways (less stairs). Overall we made the best of our stay but probably would not go back just due to the fact of the pests, having to switch late at night & having trouble contacting the host consistently after hours.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We love Knot 4 reel. It is a very nice 3 story home with a boardwalk to the beach. We have stayed here several times before & will do so in the future. This trip, the AC in the 2nd floor bedroom did not work. I'm sure this will be corrected.

Amazing view and location. Hard to overstate this, we've never had a better location to town and the beach. Great Ocean view especially from second and third floors. Boardwalk to beach is literally outside the fence to the patio. Some foot traffic walking by, but everyone was pretty quiet. Never noticed any noise inside. Short golf cart ride to the heart of Port A. The house was nice and clean inside. We spent most of our time on second and third floors. Master BR is on the third floor. Few Small things not worth removing a star: Small drainage issue in the second floor shower. The de-humidifier in first floor had to be emptied daily. One split unit and a portable AC kept that 1st floor area cool. So it's fine, but keep an eye on the dehumidifier. Some random lumber next to the boardwalk wasn't great, but I don't know if that's the property's wood or HOA's. That charcoal grill has maybe 50% of the bottom rusted out in the middle. Some neighborhood construction noise off and on, but never a nuisance.

Had a great time!

This was a great spot to stay for me and my family. Everybody had a spot to sleep, we were right next to the boardwalk so super easy access to the beach! The only trouble I ran to was getting into the house when we got there. We did everything we were supposed to but the little knob was giving us trouble. I honestly don't even know how we got it to work eventually. I will say I called the emergency line at 10 at night and they got back to me within 5 min so I appreciate that! As a recommendation, I think you guys should get a blender! I couldn't get the margarita machine to work lol but that's ok we didn't really neeed margaritas :)

Great spot... just finish the interior!

Overall we had a wonderful stay! This location was right next to the boardwalk with great views of the beach. My husband and I stayed here during our wedding weekend and the house lived up to most of our expectations. The experience of sleeping with the A/C off, windows open, feeling an ocean breeze cannot be beat! Only complaint that could be fixed by property managers fairly easily would be the unfinished bathroom upstairs (a little disappointing to have a washcloth shoved in an unfinished hole in the shower ceiling of the master bathroom). Additionally, there is quite a bit of construction going on around the area that will be in your view of the beach. No issues from a noise perspective, but you should be aware of both of these items going into booking when you spend this type of money on a place. Definitely will be back, hopefully with all renovations completed by then!

The view of the water from the front porch was amazing. We had a lovely time enjoying our coffee with the sunrise. The beds were comfy and cozy, and we found everything we needed in the kitchen - as the property description was accurate.

A lot of issues with this property.

We just wrapped up our fourth annual trip to Port Aransas. We’ve always had great experiences with the properties we’ve rented in the past, but this property was not a great experience. We saw a mouse in the kitchen.The door handle to the lower level was broken.The main-level shower wouldn’t allow us to adjust the water temperature.The outdoor hose was broken. While a replacement was brought to us, the old hose couldn’t be removed by hand.There was a significant amount of hair in the bedsheets on the top level.When we arrived, the cleaning crew was still finishing up, the inside stairs hadn’t yet been cleaned.There were no trash bags provided for the kitchen.We found a dead cockroach on the floor when we arrived.The basement door leading to the garage was left ajar.The thermostat was set to 77F upon arrival, making the home uncomfortably warm at first.Many of the rugs were heavily stained and had burrs or stickers embedded in them.The toilet paper holder in the lower-level bathroom was broken. Lower level was smelled like mold. I do not recommend staying here.

Annual Port A Trip

This was our first time to stay at Knot 4 Reel. Overall we loved the house and the location was perfect. The house could have been more thoroughly cleaned. So many things are crammed in the closets and the kitchen cabinets were overflowing with gadgets that you really don't need. The kitchen is great space, but a true hodge podge of stuff. We might have had 7 forks?!!! For the amount of money you spend to stay here, the property management company could surely do a better job of preparing the place for their guests. Our family had a great time and we will probably be back, but I'd love to see the management team step it up!

Great house close to the beach

We had a large family reunion, ages from adults down to infants. The three levels have everyone their own space. Only negative was the second floor bedroom stayed warm. I saw this issue in other reviews as well. We would definitely go back.

Close to beach

We had a nice stay in Port A. The house was large and as described. It was very close to the beach with a private access directly to the boardwalk. For the price we paid though I was surprised of issues with the property which included roaches, sliding door wouldn’t lock, shower head in Master BR falling out, pans in kitchen were covered in baked on food, there were no drapes on second floor window, no window covering on first floor bedroom window which overlooks walkway to beach, there was a broken window that had been taped, an emergency AC was added to cool off the first floor but it was still hot and there was a large hole in the sofa arm of the sofa on the first floor. The WiFi was horrible. However, it was a comfortable and very convenient beach home. Just needs a little TLC for the price that was paid.

We had a wonderful time. The view and access to the beach was amazing. They delivered our golf cart rentals directly to the property with a full tank of gas. We did have one issue, but they addressed the issue quickly. We will definitely rent from Life in Paradise again!

Good place with multiple families.

Really liked the 3 levels to separate the 3 families when sleeping. Overall it was nice but there was some more wear and tear to walls and showers that were not shown in the pictures. The cleaning was sufficient but not outstanding as there were a pair of shoes left under a bed, what looked like dog treats under the couch and larger noodle crumbs on the kitchen floor. The property manager was easy to communicate with and the location was perfect as it was right next to the boardwalk to the beach.

Great location

We booked this property and then Hurricane Hanna came through. The property held up nice. It was clean, has great views and access to the beach. Despite the hurricane it was a great experience.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Pros: Easy check-in. Great management. View of water. Lots of patios. Very comfortable King beds. Easy access to the beach with neighborhood boardwalk located at back gate. Outdoor shower. We will def. be back! Cons: Construction noise from next door, tight parking w/ pickups, no broom to sweep sandy floors.

We had an amazing time watching the waves and enjoyed the view thoroughly!

It was my first time staying at a vacation rental property and oh my will i ever stay at a hotel again... we totally loved it!!! my kids loved the space the play and roam freely and my mom & husband enjoyed the location thoroughly. The only thing i would have liked to know beforehand was the construction going on next to the house, couldn't sleep in due to the noise :(
