Blackberry Ridge – A North Carolina Dream Vacation Spot – Very Secluded!

It's no wonder that Blackberry Ridge is a favorite vacation spot for guests from all over the world. This mountain cabin was designed to accommodate those who want an authentic Smoky Mountain experience. Enjoy peace, relaxation, and serenity with back-to-nature seclusion and convenient access to a wide variety of activities at Blackberry Ridge. *Please note this home does have Wifi but no streaming. The driveway is not suitable for motorcycles or low riding vehicles**

This beautiful and uniquely decorated mountain cabin has two bedrooms and two baths. The main level has a great room with a gas fireplace and floor-to-ceiling windows showcasing peeps of the mountains. A full kitchen and dining area are also on this level to create an open, spacious environment. There is a main level bedroom, with a queen bed ready for two guests. The upstairs sleeps three more with a master bedroom that has a king bed and a twin pullout sofa located in the upstairs loft.

Located between the picturesque mountain towns of Sylva and Franklin, Blackberry Ridge offers convenient access to activities like hiking trails, antiquing, white water rafting, fly fishing, and more! After a long day of exploring, come home and soak up the mountain air as you circle around the firepit or unwind in the hot tub. Experience the Smoky Mountains in the comfort of Blackberry Ridge. At over 2500 feet of elevation, it's as close to heaven as you can get!

Loved this stay

Perfect location to Betty’s Creek Vineyard wedding venue. Cabin was clean and offered a great spacious layout for our family of four. Easy drive to Sylva and other local attractions…beautiful quiet setting awaits!

Very clean and cozy cabin. Greatly enjoyed our stay. Good location if you want to get to Highlands/Cashiers and Asheville from the quicker main highways. Highly recommended!

Wedding at Vineyard at Betty’s Creek

Lovely location ( little hard to find after dark but once found👌) daylight no problem! It was a delightful cabin, we were there for a wedding, we didn’t have much time at cabin but it is awesome!!! If we are in area again, we would definitely stay there, gorgeous spot in mountains!

Peace and quiet

A nice hot tub, cozy beds, and nothing but the sound of birds for company. A great little cabin for getting away from it all.

Our Stay

Our stay here was amazing! The property was in excellent condition! We had a couple minor problems, but none that kept us from enjoying our stay. The only major concern was that the fridge did not stay very cold, so make sure you have a cooler on hand.

Great cabin in the mountains!

We stayed here for a wedding that was at The vineyards at Betty’s creek - we were so close to the venue, which was perfect! The cabin was great but was a bit tricky to get to. I recommend getting there in the daylight! :)

Great cabin but no real view . Beautiful forest though . The gas fireplace was not working. Maybe no gas ? Florida folks were chilly in the am . Everything about the cabin was wonderful . Directions to cabin need to be revamped. Directions need to be more explicit.

We saw bears, and couldn’t have been more thrilled!!

Blackberry Ridge was a fantastic Great Smoky Mountains base camp for our stay. Picturesque & super comfortable, we really enjoyed the porch, hot tub & firepit (my daughters appreciated the great roasting sticks for our s’mores sessions). Our first afternoon at the cabin we were treated to the sight of two bears moving through the hill below the cabin. The dry leaves alerted my wife to their presence and we could just make them out from the deck. I came around the driveway and got a great look at them as they headed down the road, pausing to give us a look before they went on their way. Wildlife aside it was a wonderful location for our 4 day visit. We headed off to hikes in and around the park & enjoyed coming back to the cabin, cooking dinner together & some great family time in the evening. (I will say the Monopoly game desperately needs another dice, as playing with just one clearly gave my wife a strategic advantage she somehow leveraged to clean the board with us).

Place was nice but could be improved.

They were nice enough to give us a discount since the internet did not work. There is a very small TV and it didn't get ESPN and other basics. The cabin is nice but needs some TLC. For instance, there is an outlet in upstairs king bedroom that isn't attached to the wall. Other outlets have similar problems. There was a nail sticking out of wood flooring on the stairs inside. Ouch! Needs better pillows and the so called pullout was a disaster. Yard keeping was lacking too. This cabin has so much potential.... Overall, it was a nice quiet place and our family did have a good time.

Decent Stay but a few misses

I left a similar private note to the business on the Airbnb review. But there were a few issues we had during our stay. The WiFi was very bad. I even reset the router and only got .4 mbps internet speed which is super super slow. Luckily we had decent cell service so it didn't effect us too bad. Also there was no sponge for the dishes or coffee for the coffee maker. Had cleaning dishes extra hard and waking up in the mornings harder. Lastly the heat coming from the HVAC was blowing cool air. We set the thermostat to 70 and had the heat on but it only blew cool air. Luckily there was the gas fireplace to warm the house or we probably would have frozen with the winter storm. Everything else was great but a few Moses for sure
