Casolena Lakehouse is our family’s cherished year-round retreat, recently upgraded and now ready to share with you! This sun-filled A-frame cottage offers unique panoramic lake views that make every season feel special. Whether it’s summer sunshine or the cozy quiet of winter, each moment at Casolena offers a deep connection to nature and a sense of tranquility.
We know first-hand that vacations should be restful, not stressful, which is why we’ve taken the hassle out of packing. You’ll find most of the essentials you’d need for your stay at the cottage, so you can just pack light and settle right into serenity when you arrive.
At Casolena, it’s all about the experience and creating lifelong memories. Whether you’re seeking peaceful solitude, nature-filled adventure, or memorable family time, we hope this home is a perfect vacation destination for you just as it has been for our family!


HOW TO MAKE THE MOST OF YOUR STAY at Casolena

● Start your day with a calming lake view and enjoy your home-brewed coffee or tea in the sunroom, on the deck, or by the water.

● Bask in the sunshine indoors and out. When the sun comes out, it shines into almost every corner of the cottage throughout the day.

● Cook delicious meals in the fully equipped kitchen and dine al fresco with a view of the water.

● Explore the private shoreline: in summer, bring your kayak or paddleboard, or take a dip in the crystal-clear lake. In winter, wander the shoreline and admire the stillness of frozen waves.

● Stroll through various nature paths on the 2-acre property, surrounded by trees and rocks. Savor the summer flowers and birds, or enjoy the crisp, quiet winter air.

● From the 2nd-floor balcony, catch a sunset and stargaze under the super dark night sky (when weather permits). If you're lucky, you might even spot shooting stars or the aurora!

● Gather around the outdoor stone fire pit for an unforgettable scenic campfire experience.

● Relax by the cozy indoor fireplace, play the guitar or read a book from our curated collection or wrap up in a blanket and play board games with the family.

BEDROOMS

Designed with families and groups of friends in mind, the cottage offers various sleeping arrangements to suit different needs. There are 4 bedrooms that sleep a maximum of 10 people (no more than 8 adults).

❶ Delfina: King bed with an immersive lake view, refreshing lake breeze, and soothing sound of lapping waves.

❷ Cielo: Spacious loft bedroom with two double beds, panoramic lake and sky views, a walk-in closet, a large ensuite bathroom, and a large walk-out balcony.

❸ Alba: Cozy queen bed with a walk-out deck.

❹ Bosco: Twin over full bunk bed with a dedicated work/study area.

Alba, Bosco and Delfina are on the main floor. Cielo is a loft-style bedroom on the second floor with no door, highlighting an open view and architectural design.

It took that single trip for us to realize it wasn’t the family adventure we wanted for ourselves or our guests. Even with the challenge of limited services in a remote area, we do our best to provide you with most essentials you need for a hassle-free stay that you can fully relax and enjoy.

You will have access to the entire cottage except the basement and the locked cabinets in the laundry room (reserved for our maintenance team). Other structures outside the main cottage are off-limits (garage, bunkie, and sheds).


We're available for any questions and inquiries during your stay but the level of interaction is up to you!

Other details to note

● Guest registration: We require a list of full names of all adult guests at the time of booking. Parties, events, and unregistered guests are not permitted at the property.

● Pet policy: To maintain a hypoallergenic environment for all our guests, please leave your furry friends at home.

● Trash and recycling: No trash outside at any time. This attracts bears. Kindly take your trash and recycling with you upon checkout. The nearest dumpsites are listed in the guidebook shared with you prior to your stay.

● Fire safety: Fireworks are not allowed at any time (local regulations). Campfires may be enjoyed in the designated fire pit, provided all local open fire burning by-laws are followed.

● Security: Exterior security cameras are installed at entry points and along the driveway for your safety.

● Smoking and vaping: These are prohibited indoors.

● Quiet hours: 10pm to 8am. No outdoor speakers please! A noise device (Minut) is used for monitoring noise level and smoke.
