Conveniently located just 16 minutes from Birch Run and 18 minutes from Frankenmuth, this charming home offers easy access to top local attractions. Nestled on a peaceful 5-acre lot, Bur Oak House provides a cozy retreat where you can unwind after a day of exploration.

This inviting home features three bedrooms and two and a half bathrooms, making it ideal for families or couples. The stunning freestanding tub offers a serene spot for relaxation, helping you find tranquility during your stay. With beautiful green and orange accents throughout, complemented by unique artwork, Bur Oak House is a perfect blend of comfort, style, and an unbeatable location.

The property is in a farming community, surrounded by operating farms. They use a natural liquid fertilizer, sprayed on soil prior to planting (early Spring) and right after harvesting (late Fall). You may experience a smell when fertilizer is being applied depending on the weather and wind direction. If you do experience a smell, it usually dissipates within 24-48 hours.

This property also features a fully functional BAT HOUSE, which plays an important role in natural pest control. The bats help keep the mosquito and flying insect population in check, reducing the need for chemical sprays. It's important to respect the bats' habitat, so please avoid disturbing the bat house or allowing pets near it. This eco-friendly solution ensures a more enjoyable and pest-free environment without the use of harmful pesticides. It is adhered to the North back corner of the house and there is a protective landscape being constructed as a barrier.

Pets: Freshwater Vacation Rentals currently charges $75 for your entire stay. Yes, we do accept 1 dog, yet we do ask that you please clean up after them both inside and outside the cabin. Plus, if you allow them on the furniture, we do ask that you please bring your own linens/blankets for them to sleep on. Just let us know which bed you will be using with them, and we'll make sure it is ready for your sheets when you arrive. Plus, if the pet hair starts to build, we do ask that you please run the vacuum. Generally, dogs love the water and places to explore. Pet food does tend to attract mice, so vigilance is needed.

Privacy: Neighbors are barely in view

Snowmobiles: a person (resident and nonresident) that operates a snowmobile in Michigan is required to purchase a snowmobile trail permit. The trail permit enables snowmobilers to ride state-designated trails and thousands more miles of public roads and on public lands (where authorized). It is valid for one year, which begins Oct. 1 and ends Sept. 30 of the following year. State-designated trails are open Dec. 1-March 31 and grooming occurs when there is enough snow on the ground.
