The property and location was perfect for our weekend stay for a family wedding! We had 8 adults planned to stay. Everything was clean and there were a ton of accommodations (kitchen and bathroom supplies, games, you name it!). One thing that threw me off is checking out sleeping arrangements upon our arrival. In the listing it states there is a “sofa bed” in the office. However, there is no sleeping area in the office and no “twin sofa bed”. When I read “twin sofa bed” I thought that meant a sofa that folds out into a twin size bed. There is a futon in the living room and none of the couches fold out. There is a wicker couch in the dining area (near the entry way) that when I asked the house about the sofa bed, she said that’s what she was as referring to. But that it is just a couch that someone can sleep on and is comfortable. But it is not a bed. All our guests are older and don’t tend to sleep well on couches & prefer a bed. So, this was disappointing. We managed to suck it up for the weekend, but the listing needs to be changed to not include the sofa bed as sleeping. This is meant to fit 6 guests (who would all have beds) and 1 extra if you use the futon. Other than that, I loved this recipe lace & would definitely stay again! I just would bring an air mattress next time if we had some extra adults that needed a bed.

Everything was great with our stay. The beds were comfortable, loved that there were 2 bathrooms, and the house was a lot more spacious than it even looked in pictures! One only complaint is the seating in the living room wasn’t the most comfortable for 4 people. There was lots of furniture/seating around the home but more than one of us couldn’t sit on each couch (not being skinny people). We did get to discover that they have a wild turkey (my dad named her Henrietta) that hung out in their backyard and on the pack deck which truly didn’t bother us! It did make it harder to take our dog out, but we just walked her out front to use the restroom when needed and it was just fine!We really enjoyed the distance away from both Birch Run and Frankenmuth, without being too close to the busy town.
