This apartment in Aix is absolutely beautiful and will make you feel like you’re experiencing French life. It’s decorated beautifully but still very comfortable and relaxing. Comfortable beds with lovely linens and lots of towels in the in a up to date bathroom. It has a perfect location close to a variety of restaurants, shops and markets. From this location it was easy to find our way through the winding streets to galleries, tourist bureau, various markets big and small and many interesting little shops. Kristine is an excellent host, giving us lots of info and always easy to contact if needed, this was appreciated. You won’t regret booking this apartment. Be prepared to hike up the stairs with your luggage and for your daily coming and going but worth it.

The flat is located in a perfect part of Aix, central to everything. Our stay couldn’t have been more perfect - lovely furnishings, comfy beds, extremely tidy. Amazing Aix

Conveniently located in the heart of Aix, sits this beautiful, spacious apartment furnished with comfortable French antiques and bedding. Well equipped kitchen which allowed for some lovely home cooked meals with fresh farmer’s produce selected from the colourful market just a short stroll away. Great shops & restaurants in the immediate area including a lively flea market on Cours Mirabeau all within walking distance. Had a most memorable stay.

All my Aix dreams come true

This beautifully decorated and comfortable apartment was in the absolute best location in Aix. We could walk around the old part of the city all day and easily come back to rest whenever we wanted. The parking was also convenient and we took several day trips during our stay. The apartment was quiet with the windows closed and had everything we needed for our stay. Loved it!!

Lovely old town Aix-en-Provence apartment!

My friend and I stayed at this property for 8 days in late October 2024. It is perfectly situated to access most of what the town has to offer and beautifully decorated in the style of the building which is very historic. The hosts supplied everything one would need and more, were very gracious and so accommodating, helping us with our luggage (no lift in this historic building) both on our way in and on our way out, storing our luggage on check out day and coming over the second day we were there to take us through the operation of the appliances and give us suggestions of where to eat and what to see. Thanks to Kristine and Thierry for a wonderful stay, we both hope to be back!

Beautiful apartment in the heart of Aix en Provence

My husband and I and my brother and his wife enjoyed our stay in this beautiful apartment in June. The apartment is very well equipped and has excellent air conditioning which we were very grateful for with the latest high temperatures. Kris was very helpful when we arrived giving us all the information needed to enjoy our stay. We loved the daily market just a block away. We also so visited Lourmarin on the local bus and Marseille another day. We left with very many happy memories of Aix and Kris and Thierry's lovely apartment.

Gem of a stay

Three of us stayed at this impressive, comfortable, well appointed flat near the action of old town Aix-en-Provence. The location couldn't be better, close to markets, shops and restaurants. Parking was easy, a 10 minute walk away. Kristine and Thierry, hosts, couldn't have been more accommodating! They were readily available for any needs, Kristine checked in every day with ideas we may have overlooked to visit or tour. It was the perfect home away from home. We were delighted to use the candelabra during a few dinners at the dining table! We would all rebook this amazing flat in a prime location if/when visiting the area again! Merci beaucoup!

Truly lovely. As well-kept and clean as can be; perfect location right on the Diablines bus lines (in the pedestrian city center); handsome furnishings and wall art (paintings, tapestry); close to Monoprix for shopping; fully equipped kitchen saved us from having to eat in restaurants all the time; laundry; secure. Kris met us on site and showed us everything. Just make sure when you leave Bellegarde Parking garage that you look for the exit toward City Center, not Aristide Briand (saves five minutes walking). Parking at Bellegarde is 20 euros/ day max.

Old city Aix

We enjoyed our stay in Aix very much. It is the place to go if you love markets, cafes and architecture. Our apartment was spacious, comfortable and very attractively decorated. The one caveat I have about staying here is that 2nd floor in US speak is 3rd floor. To get to our apartment there were 42 curving uneven steps. Anyone with sore knees or hips might want to be sure they’re up for the challenge. Other than that one thought this is a fabulous place to stay!

The Very Best

If you are lucky enough to get a reservation at this property consider yourself the luckiest person in Aix en Provence. Everything is perfect. The location, the amenities, the owners.. all exquisite. The location is the absolute best in Aix. You're literally minutes from a bustling square with cafes and boulangeries and market sand restaurants. The apartment is absolutely beautiful decorated in a French period way but with every modern convenience. The owners are responsive and really care about their guests. They leave detailed instructions and lots of recommendations for visiting neighboring towns and activities and restaurants. I wish I could come back every year and stay in this fantastic apartment. It is even better than the pictures!

A perfect gem!

I traveled to Aix with my two adult nieces and 11 year old grand- niece. We all love old buildings and aesthetically pleasing decor, and this apartment far exceeded our expectations. It is located in a wonderful old building in the old town. The decor was exquisite and the apartment smelled of lavender. The views out the window were utterly charming. The kitchen was well equipped, and as my nieces are vegan, we ate several meals in.There is a winding staircase to get to the apartment, but it wasn’t a problem for us. The only down-side was that the apartment only has one bathroom, so I let my family have the apartment and found another room nearby for myself that wasn’t nearly as nice. However, if I do return to Aix, the “perfect gem” is the place I’ll book!

We did not want to leave this delightful, perfectly located property in the golden town of Aix-en-Provence. The apartment was charming, with every amenity accounted for. Thierry and Kristine went above and beyond to assist us with our stay. The town of Aix is a lively, bustling place filled with lovely plazas, cafés with outdoor seating under the trees, and lights at night—and shopping! We were able to explore the beautiful Luberon villages and hilltop towns (by cycle and by car!), the stunning Cassis and the Calanques, and the charming village of St Rémy, all on day excursions from Aix. We kept our car in the garage that Kristine helped us arrange about a 5-minute walk away; a SMALL car is highly recommended! We enjoyed the lively Tuesday market in town with a chef. The market produce is a feast for the eyes and the mouth, whether you shop and cook on your own in the apartment or take a cooking class, as we did, with a local chef—so much fun and also highly recommended. We very much appreciate Kristin and Thierry’s hospitality and Thierry’s assistance (three women and too much luggage and shopping!). We all hope to return to Aix and would definitely stay again in this lovely apartment as well as recommend it to friends and family.

Aixellent Aixperience

Our 7day stay in Aix-en- Provence staying at Kristine & Thierry beautiful abode met all our expectations. Within minutes of arriving, we felt as though we were privy to the knowledge of the locals, due to fantastic information left at the apartment by the owners, and were out sipping rose and eating at a delightful and very yummy recommended local bistro just footsteps away. The apartment was well situated for local markets and roaming about the old town. Would def recommended a stay and would reconsider staying again if ever in Aix. Thank you for sharing your wonderful space. Rach & Jo from Aussie.

AIX-CEPTIONAL stay at Maison Nonna

We stayed for about two weeks mid-November to visit our daughter who was studying in Aix and the apartment was perfect! PROS: - Excellent location to everything in the Centre Ville: daily street markets, a Monop', cafes, restaurants, patisseries, boulangeries... - Safe location and secure building - Quiet, warm and perfectly appointed apartment - Parking available at a nearby garage (for a nominal fee) AND super easy exit from the garage to the Aix périphérique for trips to nearby towns and Marseille - AMAZING hosts! Kristine and Thierry are pros - they were available when we had questions and checked in with us several times during our stay to make sure things were ok and offered great recommendations. CON: You'll have go home at some point.... Some places we liked near the apartment: Tonkin Food (200 ft away, great Vietnamese take-out), Le Countrepoint for burgers, Licandro Le Bistro, Maison Weibel for "correct" pastries, FarinomanFou for bread, Fromagerie Savelli for cheese and Brûlerie Richelme for coffee. Nearby towns to visit: Cassis and its calanques, Marseille and nearby calanques, Rousillion, Gordes, L'ile sur la Sourge (Sunday market), Avignon, Ménerbes, Lourmarin (Friday market), Moustiers-Saint-Marie and nearby lake, Sisteron, Saint-Rémy-de-Provence, Eygalières...so many more... Merci beaucoup Kristine et Thierry, j'espère que nos chemins se croisent encore. xo
