The suite was very large, comfortable and well appointed. All the downtown amenities were within walking distance. We had a wonderful time. We stayed in a two bedroom suite on account of our dog so it was more than we really needed . It would be wonderful for a family ou two couples traveling together. Book with confidence. It’s a great place.

First time to Nelson, a wonderful town and this home was great place to stay to fully enjoy this area.I selected this property because of its location and high ratings. Perfectly situated to walk into the town and also for walking to and along the waterfront. It is adjacent to beautiful Gyro Park and only a block away to get exceptional groceries at Kootenay Co-op.Sleep quality was excellent, kitchen and bath well appointed. Very clean. Great host (as demonstrated by the thoughtful attention to all the right details in the bedrooms, kitchen and bath making this a very comfortable place to stay).If I return to this area I will definitely here again.

Beautiful, roomy, a few minutes' walk to everywhere

We stayed in this place for a few nights and it was lovely. The space was roomy and homey, there was plenty of extra beds and bedding, and the kitchen was the most functional kitchen I've seen in a vacation rental. There was a decent amount of cooking utensils and necessities (salt, olive oil, etc) too. And Maria checked in regularly with us, by email, in person on checkout, and in the little notes that helped us find/use the various amenities (the self-cleaning spa bathtub would've been a startling surprise otherwise!)

Very clean and large open space apartment! The kitchen is outstanding, with separate dining area and cozy sitting room and TV area. Very large master bedroom and normal sized second. The bathroom is a good size and while the shower/bath is a bit awkward to get into, it works well and is a bit of a work of art. Natural lighting is complemented by lots of lights. For two adults and two children it was perfect. Convenient parking.

Comfortable, well appointed, lots of room to accommodate our party of 5 adults and two kids. Huge kitchen, easy for several of us to be in there. Amazing location, everything walkable. Maria was perfect, friendly, helpful and respectful. We would not hesitate to stay again.

Great place in downtown Nelson

This is a really cute apartment with lots of attention to detail. It had everything my wife and I needed for our stay. We didn't use the second bedroom or futon beds but realised that the place would be fine for us to bring our two boys next time. It is minutes from cafes, restaurants and pubs as well as parks and woods. We definitely plan to visit again.

Beautiful property, perfect location, and responsive host!

The property was as advertised - it was lovely and beautifully appointed - and perfect for our family of 4 (plus an infant) while we visited our daughter in Nelson. We have already recommended it to other family and will definitely consider returning. For anyone staying and wanting to make anything other than simple meals, the kitchen lacked a few key items - like baking pans and larger pots, spatulas. For as happy we were with the property, and totally not show stoppers, we all noticed that the hand soap and dish detergent were watered down and we only were provided with one spare roll of toilet paper for 4 people and a 4 night stay. Once we contacted Maria, she was quick to respond and drop off more.

Our stay at Mistiso's was lovely. Maria was very quick to respond to any and all communications and the apartment was comfortable and had everything we needed and was within walking distance to shops and trails. If we are passing through Nelson, we will be sure to stay with Maria again.

We were able to walk to all the downtown shops yet the residence was very private. Our host was friendly and helpful. The place was spotless. Would definitely recommend this.

I started with no background in the industry in 2001. It began as a necessity as we were young and just starting our family. We needed a space for my family and also had to find other means to supplement our mortgage payments towards an enormous debt.

Being a Filipina in my genes gives me a natural advantage. Our culture generally has the reputation of being one of the most hospitable in the world. We love to entertain and feel connected with our guests, and given some time, we eventually feel that we become like family or close friends.

With a natural talent and eye for art, I've personalized all our suites at Mistiso's Place & Morning Star Bunkieland with their own distinct and unique character. Each suite is a unique space for anybody who appreciates personal touches and artsy, eclectic decor. I'm a Virgo, so I tend to be a perfectionist and pay a lot of attention to detail.

Why do I host? It's the guests, my co-workers, and the knowledge, wisdom, & friendships that I've gained over the years that make this the best job for me ever! I genuinely enjoy & LOVE what I have gotten to do every day for the last 20 years.

Seeing smiles, hearing stories, and reading glowing reviews online make all the hard work pleasurable. These validations give my team and me great joy and satisfaction, as we know that we're doing something good for the world—one stay at a time.
