Amazing stay

Wonderful stay in Nelson! Close to town and a walk away from the beautiful lake view park. It has everything you need. Will definitely be staying again!

Really happy with our stay

Had everything we needed and was a great stay. Close to downtown, many restaurants and the main road (3a) to explore outside Kootenay lake north of Nelson. New fridge. There is also a shower that I did not see in the photos. Very happy

Romantic Getaway❤

Beautiful, funky unit.

Very well-appointed, and VERY convenient to downtown Nelson. Surprisingly quiet. Lovely heritage home. All the modern conveniences of home were in our unit. Loved the still-working retro refrigerator!

Above all the best!

I have been coming to Nelson on business for 25 years and none beat Mistiso's. Everything is amazingly decorated with funky/cool stylings and beautifully appointed. The heat is on when you arrive. You can live in this place. Mistiso's is only 2 minutes walk to everything Nelson. Maria is a doll who pays attention to every detail.

A wonderfully cozy retreat!

We have really enjoyed staying at Mistiso's in the past and this past March stayed in the Kokanee suite which was absolutely lovely, cozy and charming. Mistiso's has become our 'home away from home' when we go to Nelson. Excellent location and wonderful owners!

Everything we needed for three adults and two teens

We were planning on staying in two hotel rooms, but found Mistiso's place and it seemed a better fit for us -- more shared space, and helped make the trip affordable by cooking a few meals at home. Glad we did! We had a great time, lots of space in the Purcell suite for three adults, two teens, and all of our snow gear. Cooked big family meals, and the kitchen had everything we needed. Location is perfect for running out to town or out for groceries. We'll be back next year for sure.

A Great Place To Stay in Nelson

We feel so lucky to have found this wonderful place to stay for five nights. The location is ideal to walk to shops and restaurants. We loved how we were able to park right outside our door, as we had all our ski equipment. The place is super cute and looks exactly like the photos. The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen had everything one would need. We will definitely recommend Mistisos to anyone going to Nelson, and would love to stay there again ourselves!!

I never thought I'd still be doing this job after 20+ years!
I started with no background in the industry in 2001. It began as a necessity as we were young and just starting our family. We needed a space for my family and also had to find other means to supplement our mortgage payments towards an enormous debt.

Being a Filipina in my genes gives me the natural advantage as our culture generally has the reputation of being one of the most hospitable beings in the world. We generally love to entertain and feel connected with our guests, and given some time, we eventually feel that we become like family or close friends.

Having a natural talent and eye for art, I've personalized all our suites at Mistiso's Place & Morning Star with its own distinct and unique character. Each suite is a unique space for anybody that appreciates personal touches and artsy, eclectic decor. I'm a Virgo, so I tend to be a perfectionist and put a lot of attention to detail.

Why do I host? It's the guests, my co-workers, and the knowledge, wisdom, & friendships that I've gained over the years that make this the best job for me ever! I genuinely enjoy & LOVE what I have gotten to do every day for the last 20 years.

Seeing smiles, hearing stories, & reading glowing reviews online make all the hard work pleasurable. These validations give my team and me great joy & satisfaction to know that we're doing something good for the world- one stay at a time.
