Just steps from the Delaware Bay, Bayview Sunset Cottage is a private one-bedroom retreat designed for relaxing shore getaways. Enjoy your fully fenced backyard oasis featuring a 97-jet hot tub, Solo Stove fire pit, gas grill, and outdoor shower—perfect for unwinding after a day at the beach.
The Delaware Bay here is calm, shallow, and uncrowded—great for kayaking, long walks, and some of the most unique sunset views in Cape May County. In late spring, you may even experience horseshoe crab season along the shoreline, a memorable local event.
Inside, the cottage offers comfortable, thoughtfully designed living with a gas fireplace, 55” smart TV, and a fully equipped kitchen. Start your mornings at the fully stocked coffee bar with both Keurig and drip coffee options, then ease into your day at your own pace. The home is professionally cleaned and maintained to ensure a comfortable, worry-free stay.
The bedroom features a luxurious king bed with layered bedding, warm lighting, and boutique coastal design touches that create a cozy retreat after a day by the bay. The living room includes a memory-foam sleeper sofa to accommodate up to four guest
Relax on the screened porch, enjoy fresh herbs from the garden, or take a bike ride along the bay (rentals available nearby). Beach chairs, umbrellas, and Cape May beach tags (seasonal) are provided so you’re ready to explore.
An on-site EV charger is available for convenient overnight charging—a rare amenity in the area.
The Delaware Bay beach is just across the street and known for its breathtaking sunsets. Cape May, the Wildwood Boardwalk, wineries, breweries, restaurants, and shops are all just a short drive away.
I live on the property in a separate private residence with my golden retrievers, Asher and Okemo, and personally maintain the cottage. I’m available if needed and happy to help, but guests enjoy complete privacy during their stay.

The house was beautiful and incredibly clean. The hot tub was huge and private. It’s the winter so we didn’t use the outside as much as in the summer, but it looked really nice. Communication was good, neighborhood was nice, steps from the beach. We’ll definitely stay here again.

We had a really nice time. We weren’t familiar w/the keyless entry system & didn’t know to press the “lock” icon first, let it reset & then enter the code to open door (you’ll hear it whirl & click). However, host Anthony was available by phone to instruct us. Fenced yard was very pet friendly, which was a great plus. Living room & bedroom were pretty & comfy; kitchen & bath were functional, well-stocked. The host provided games & beach chairs/umbrella - were very helpful to have. We brought our own beach towels, but some were provided. The neighborhood was very residential, quiet & friendly; the sunsets at the beach (just 1/2 block from property) were absolutely spectacular. Property’s location in Villas is about 20 minutes drive from downtown Cape May, but beach is just steps away & very nice, breezy, long & publicly-accessible. There’s a CVS & WAWA nearby, along with a few modest shops. Note: Lots of Villa's shops, even in summer, are only open on weekends.Cape May beach tags were provided with property. Evenings were lovely, with host providing ample firewood for the fire pit. We didn’t use the hot tub (weather was very, very hot while we were there), but bet it was nice. Screened porch is shady. For new visitors to Cape May: lunch at restaurants is easier for seating than dinners without reservations. If you want to lunch outside on the CM beach with your pup, try the Fish House at the Point (they don’t take reservations - food is awesome!). Had a fun time!

The house was lovely. We loved everything about it. Amazing back yard with hot tub and Adirondack chairs. The owner could not have been nicer and helped us unload our things into the house when we arrived. House is just down the street from the beach. 17 mins to Cape May. Owner lives on the property and is available for anything you might need. Highly recommend this property!
