Beautiful older house two blocks from town. The only issues were the size of the kitchen and steepness of stairs.My 84 year old brother in law could not make it up the steps. I struggled with the suitcases as well. All else was terrific. Highly recommend, especially for middle aged folks.

Wonderful stay!

We truly had the best two weeks at the Oliver Davis House! It was sparkling clean on arrival, the kitchen was a chef’s dream, communication with the owners was great, and the location couldn’t have been more perfect. We loved the beautiful gardens too. We can’t wait to come back!

We just got back from our stay and my friends and I can’t say enough about how perfect the house and location were for our Christmas prelude getaway. The host kept us informed and everything we needed was at the house. Christmas Prelude and Kennebunkport is just magical!

200 Years Old and Absolutely Beautiful

This home in Kennebunkport is well equipped and historically beautiful. The location is perfect to explore the harbor without worrying about parking or driving. The entire weekend was very enjoyable.

Beautiful house in great location

We had a wonderful 9-day stay at the Oliver Davis house! The house is old but completely renovated, well-maintained and very well supplied and organized. The owner was quick to respond to some inital questions and comped us breakfast when the stove pilot ignition went out at the end of our stay.

Beautiful Home | Dreamy Location for Holiday Getaway

Had a wonderful family getaway! The house oozes charm and is extremely well equipped. The location could not have been better, allowing walking to everything - restaurants, bars, shops. Presidents Day week

This home is beautiful, it is even better in person. It is situated in the idyllic Kennebunkport village. Park the car and never need to drive the whole stay. The linens are gorgeously comfy and the decor is so tasteful and warm. Cannot wait to stay again!!

FABULOUS property!!

This house is beautiful - inside and outside! Great outdoor secret spot for morning coffee or reading; we spent a lot of time outside sitting near the soothing sounds of the goldfish pond. This house is in the best location - right off Ocean Avenue and Dock Square, you can walk everywhere. Inside is gorgeous and comfortable, kitchen has everything you need. The Carriage House is also a great place for guests.The owners have a notebook filled with information about things to do, restaurants, shops, places to visit, and very interesting information about this historic home.The owner is very accommodating, helpful with any question, easy to communicate with and is just so darn nice.

Perfect week in Kennebunkport

The Oliver Davis house is just wonderful and the location cannot be beat. The carriage house is just so cute. The owner was so accommodating when the VRBO site was giving me an error message during the booking process and he responded quickly to my messages. We will definitely be back again!

Beautiful home/perfect prelude

The house was an antique and gave beautiful vibes of classic New England. Also less than a 5 minute walk from all the Christmas action for prelude. It was a perfect home, location, and experience for our little one. Would recommend to any one looking for a prelude fairy tale. 20/10

Awesome stay

If you are looking for a truly unique place to vacation, this home checks all the boxes and then some! It is impeccably decorated, comfortable, yet elegant, and best of all, in downtown Kennebunkport. Park your car and walk to your hearts content. What are 2 empty-nest Southerners doing in Maine? Absolutely loving it! The Oliver Davis House is our retreat, and through the years many guests have enjoyed 'the way life should be.' We love gardening, antiquing, entertaining, picnics on the beach, and walks along the ocean. And spending time with our kids and friends when they come to visit.

The Oliver Davis House compound is a beautiful small historic home and guest cottage that retains its charm while offering every modern convenience and comfort. Located in the heart of Kennebunkport, it offers something for everyone--an easy walk to Dock Square or the ocean. The house is decorated with antiques, but it's stylish, not frumpy. Luxurious, but not over the top. It's a place where you can get back to basics.

The private garden at the Oliver Davis House is a major attraction in summer. Designed in a traditional style that complements the period architecture of the house, the main part of the garden is filled with hydrangeas and offers the perfect spot for afternoon cocktails. There's a separate patio with a fountain for al fresco dining, and a small intimate space reserved for naps in the hammock shielded by espaliered apple trees and woodsy ferns, rhododendrum, lilacs, and Japanese maple. The gently sound of wind chimes blowing in the breeze make the garden even more relaxing. Equipped with gas grill, fire pit, torchieres--the garden at the Oliver Davis House doubles our living space and offers a wonderful seasonal option to enjoy the outdoors in summer and fall.
