After parking in a covered garage, hidden away behind a massive stone wall, your private oasis awaits. A large outdoor pool and grill area make for hours of family fun. Dozens of fruit trees were added... for those fresh limes in your margarita! There is plenty of sun and shade in the lounging and dining spaces outside. The sunset views are absolutely magical.

The entire villa has recently been renovated and includes central AC! Like to cook or plan to use a private chef? The new kitchen is extremely spacious with ample prep area, a large dining table and entertainment bar.

Each bedroom has it's own full bath and the master suite boasts a spa tub with views of the Bay. In fact, all rooms have water views and French doors to a lower level deck. Just outside the master doors, is a corner hot tub perfect after a long day at the beach. This villa truly has it all!

family vacation spot

Amazing views, property and layout of the house. Well provisioned with everything you'd need for a family vacation. I wouldn't hesitate renting it again, and I'd stay even longer! property manager was responsive and accommodating.

This place is expensive BUT it’s amazing!! 3 bedrooms 3 baths and they r perfect. Big ole perfect pool. Huge kitchen. This place is perfect. 9.75 stars. Waterfall didn’t work and the grill was dirty BUt who cares this place is the shtt

This villa is so beautiful. The views and the accommodations are worth it. The daily visits from the iguanas made everyone’s day. Would definitely go back some day.

First visit to St John

A lovely property which was perfectly suited for our week long stay with family. Large outdoor living space was perfect for enjoying the beautiful views and the large indoor space was nice during inclement weather. Highly recommend!

Heaven on St. John

This house has everything you could possibly need- all the spices, cookware and beach chairs/towels you could need! The outdoor area is gorgeous with a beautiful table to enjoy breakfasts and dinner at home. Each bedroom has its own bathroom which made it comfortable for our family. Perfect distance to downtown and the view is insane. We’ll be back again and again!

Week with 3 couples

We had a great time in this villa. The 6 of us had plenty of room and even though the 3 bedrooms are all on the lower level we had plenty of privacy. The kitchen is very large and had all the amenities we needed. The best part for us was the large outdoor patio overlooking Great Cruz Bay and out to the Caribbean Sea and St. Thomas. It made our mornings and evenings so much better. We would love to rent this place again!

L’Autre Monde Villa lived up to the advertisements. House was truly fabulous. The entire checkin and checkout process was easy. Chris did a great job getting everything ready in the house before we arrived and Chico took us everywhere we needed to go!

Beautiful spacious villa

Family of 4 with 2 teens, stayed 7 nights, first visit to St. John. Just as pictured. Would stay here again. Only suggestion is to do your research ahead of time like we had regarding restaurants, things to do, beaches, hikes, etc. We’ve stayed in many Vrbo houses over the years and this was the first that didn’t have a book with numbers and info about the house and area. Not a problem but we were glad we’d planned things already.

This home has everything we were hoping for and more. Wonderful location, gorgeous views, beautiful architecture, and special touches throughout the entire home. Wonderful place to be with friends

What an amazing house to stay at while you are on the island. The outdoor terrace is what makes the house so special. We actually never sat in the living room! The view is amazing. Plenty of space to spread out. The kitchen is fully stocked. Each bedroom had a door opening onto a balcony. We will definitely stay here again!

We had a fantastic stay in St. John. The villa was just as advertised, perfect in every way. Our family spent every free minute on the lanai just enjoying the tropical weather and the action in the harbor. This VRBO property does not disappoint --- Be wary of car rental information. It can be a bit tricky as we discovered by losing a large deposit -- yikes!

This property was the perfect place for our get away with friends! It checked all the boxes. Great kitchen and dining area. Great pool area for relaxing when we weren’t at the beach and has the perfect covered patio for sitting outside in the morning and for when the small showers would arrive. Chris was so easy to deal with and very good with communication when needed! He met us at the ferry and helped us get to the house. 5 stars for sure!!!!

We had a wonderful stay at L'Autre Monde Villa. The house was large, very beautiful decor throughout. The outdoor area was the best! Plenty of room, we spent majority of the time outside looking at the amazing view. However, it was very dark at night. Not enough lighting outside and nothing was labeled. We found flashlights with dead batteries, no chargers. The firepit had no gas in the tank. So many light switches everywhere but none of them labeled. Was so confusing. Loved that there was a washer & dryer but couldn't figure it out. Contacted the property manager and he replied that it would only run on cold water and the dryer had to be on a certain setting. It would of been nice if there was a note explaining this. In fact, this is the first VRBO house that we've stayed at that did not have a welcome book explaining everything. Mike, the property manager was wonderful the first night. He helped us get to the house and explained everything but it was fast and overwhelming to remember. We contacted him the next morning noting that the master bathroom sink was broken, water went everywhere. Took him a day to come fix it. He was hit and miss on replying back to us during our stay. The pool was large and beautiful except majority of it was in the shade. Without sunlight on it, the water was pretty cold. Great stay but probably choose another location next visit to St John.

Escape to Paradise

We had the most magnificent time/stay/trip to Paradise when we stumbled upon this property. We were really disappointed in the condition of another house we booked (unrelated to this property & manager) and found L’Autre Monde just in time to grab our things, meet the amazing Jenny and make the easy drive from town to this heavenly villa. It truly takes your breath away as you walk through the private entrance and survey the beautiful stone staircase and pool. The views, attention to artistic detail throughout, high end furniture, appliances, fully stocked kitchen and welcoming energy from our host, Jenny, were truly all second to none! We cannot wait to return!!

Expectations exceeded

L’ Autre monde is a stunning villa and probably the most accommodating Vrbo I’ve stayed in. We were greeted in Cruz bay and escorted to the property for a quick tour. The pictures online don’t capture the beauty and uniqueness of the property. It’s quite stunning with attention to every detail. The home feels like a home away from home with everything you could possibly need. We enjoyed every aspect of the house but the patio is where we spent most of our time, watching the iguanas and listening to the tree frogs as we enjoyed the sunsetting behind st Thomas. We will return.

St John get away

Third trip down to this beautiful island paradise. Jenny and Chris were excellent hosts as Jenny met us as soon as we got off the car barge and drove us to the villa. L’Autre Monde was one of those places you dream about when you think of Caribbean living. We started the week off with in home dinner with Shaibu, super meal with a distinct flavor of the island. Chris was our captain on a a sunset boat ride around St Thomas and a quick meal and drinks at Lovango. Hostess was a snob but the place is pretty cool. The rest of the week was spent hiking and going to the breathtaking beaches on the island. Windmill, Gringos, Skinny Legs, Johnny lime, 1864, all great places for tasty drinks and food. If you haven’t been to St John, I would go and rent a villa like this, amazing experience.

Incredible stay

This property and our experience was fantastic. From the start of the booking process the pre-trip communication was friendly and helpful. Then we were met at the ferry by the property managers who relieved us of our bags (we arrived early on the island before check-in). We were then driven to the property for a tour and were taken to our rental car location. I think in all of my time renting properties, this was the first time the pictures have not done a place justice. The house was huge! Beautifully decorated and so well-appointed. But the highlight is the outdoor living space. It's massive with a pool, hot tub, sitting area and dining table. When we weren't enjoying the many St. John beaches we were enjoying the views and amenities of this home. I would highly recommend the property and we look forward to a return trip next year!

Estate Chocolate Hole and Great Cruz Bay is one of the best-kept secrets on St. John. You're just 8 minutes from downtown Cruz Bay, close enough to walk to restaurants, bars, and the ferry dock, but far enough that you actually feel like you've escaped. The sunset views from this hillside are some of the best on the island. You're also a short drive from Trunk Bay, Hawksnest, and the other North Shore beaches that make St. John famous. The neighborhood is quiet, residential, and safe, mostly locals and vacation homes. It's the perfect balance of convenience and privacy. And because this is St. John, you're surrounded by the Virgin Islands National Park, which means most of the island stays undeveloped and beautiful.
