Private + Scenic Adobe Gem Perfect Location for Ski + Town

This private and serene home located on five acres has the original brick floors and vigas (beams) with amazing uncluttered views on all sides. Art, furniture and lighting by local artists and artisans complement this original structure. All rooms are cozy in the winter with four kiva fireplaces and light and airy in the summer. Night sky viewing is exceptional as the house is located 10 miles outside of Taos, the Milky Way is on full display. Newly renovated, contemporary kitchen and bathrooms and wonderful outdoor spaces to relax and watch the sun/moon rise and set. Three bedrooms, all with new mattresses and bedding, one king bed and two queens and kiva fireplaces in two of the bedrooms. The beds have fluffy duvets for the cool nights and two of the beds are hybrid memory foam. The king bedroom has a wonderful view of Taos Mountain. The open dining/living area has a large flat screen T.V. with free wifi (fiber optic) for streaming your favorites. The bright kitchen is fully equipped with pottery, flatware, coffee maker, electric kettle and cookware. A charcoal grill and two outdoor dining areas to watch the sunsets and sunrises are available. A separate sitting room with fireplace is perfect for relaxing and reading. The house is located 20 minutes from Taos Ski Valley and 20 minutes from the Town of Taos. The village of Arroyo Seco has cafes, galleries, shops and an organic food market, and is just 7 minutes away. Great hiking trails are from 10 to fifteen minutes away and Rio Grande Del Norte National Monument can be seen from the west portal. The location is great for day trips to Santa Fe (1 and 1/2 hours), Red River (45 minutes), Rio Grande Gorge Bridge (15 minutes), Great Sand Dunes National Monument (2 hours), Angel Fire (one hour), Bandelier National Monument (1 and 1/2 hours) and of course the Taos Ski Valley and Taos. Activities: River rafting, kayaking, skiing, hiking, bird watching, gallery hopping, festivals, hanging out and relaxing, live music, night sky viewing.

Love this house!

We had a wonderful stay in Taos! The house is beautiful and has everything you need. Location is close to skiing and downtown and even closer to some good food options - Medley, Aceq, Pizanos. Wish we could have stayed longer and we will definitely return!

Classic adobe

Stayed at this wonderful property while visiting family in the area. Nice layout - bedrooms are on one wing and gathering areas on the other. Beds were super comfy and everything was clean

Amazing House!

The photos do not do it justice! This house located perfectly between Taos and the Taos ski valley. The views are spectacular and the sunsets are amazing. Plenty of space for our family with teens. The layout of the house is great and the kitchen has everything you need to cook. We cannot wait to stay here again!

Everything about this Taos gem - the location, the vistas, the expanse of land, the furnishings, the well-equipped kitchen, the privacy, the sunrises and sunsets - was just what we had hoped for and much, much more.! An Amazing stay

We absolutely adored this house. It was the home you wanted to pick up and plot where ever you travel too. It made our trip 100% more enjoyable. I can not say enough about this beautiful property from the views, to the deer that come right up to the porch, the coziness of every room and the amazing kitchen. If you ever get a chance to rent this location please do you will not regret your decision.

Perfect ski weekend retreat

We enjoyed a relaxing week in this beautiful adobe home located between Taos and the ski valley in a quiet setting. We saw several deer on the property during our stay. Two living rooms gave our family of four plenty of space. The kitchen is well stocked. Easy 20 minute drive to the ski hill. Homeowners were gracious hosts and easy to communicate with. We hope to return soon!

Fantastic experience!

We had an outstanding time here. This is the 5 star experience against which all other rentals should be compared. Communication with Sandy is excellent. The house is impeccably clean, the kitchen is well equipped and has plenty of spices. The location and views are excellent. The beds are comfortable. We will be back. Thank you Sandy and Clay!

Perfect Experience

The pictures do not do this property justice. You have mountain views in the front and in the back with amazing sunsets. The house is easy to get to from Taos and easy to get to Taos Ski Valley. We drove in from Texas and when we arrived to the property it was such a refreshing feeling to see that we booked the perfect house for our vacation. The property was clean, family oriented, and much bigger than you think. Great garage access and my kids were able to explore the outside property safely. Even saw deer in the morning come up to the door. Overall great house and great Taos experience!

This House... the property is beautiful, the house sparkling clean, meticulously maintained with the ideal floor plan for a family or couples traveling together . Perfectly appointed kitchen , cozy fireplaces , comfy beds with luxury linens set in a quiet neighborhood convenient to both town and the ski area. Sandy is the ultimate host! I can't recommend this property enough !!! We will definitely be back !

A wonderful, welcoming, and enchanting home

A truly beautiful home surrounded by breathtaking views of the mountains. Close to the small town of Arroyo Seco and 15mins from Taos. You won’t regret a stay here. Decorated superbly, well stocked kitchen, clean, and updated. I hope to come back some day.

Beautiful renovation of traditional adobe.

Fantastic house in an amazing location

The house is beautiful - even nicer than the pictures how. It's true that you see the sunrise in the morning and the sunset in the evening every day. It's surrounded by miles and miles of sage grass on a plateau for endless views of mountains in the distance, with some dirt roads that are good for walking. Taos Ski Valley is a great ski mountain just 20 min away.
