The home is very quaint and relaxing while still being located within walking distance from numerous bars and restaurants. The home also has a spacious yard for outdoor activities or your four legged family members.

We had an amazing vacation in the little cottage. It's a no frills type of beach house, but it fit us perfectly. It has all the basic needs. It is in a great location and the host was available for our needs.

Cozy Cottage, Great Location

Our favorite thing was sitting on the porch and watching the world go by! (Also great views from the living room windows while enjoying air conditioning.) Beautifully painted outside and in. Pier restaurant just across the street, and easy access to the beach. Nice big eat-in kitchen, plus a separate laundry room. Bathroom needs updating, but perfectly functional. All very clean. We would rent this little cottage again!

Nagshead Beach vacation

It was my wife and I and 3 grandchildren. We love the convenience of this house because my wife and 2 grandaughters like going to the beach and my grandson and I do alot of fishing from the Nagshead pier.

Oldie but a goodie

Nice place to stay with great access to the beach and the fishing pier. We have stayed at this house many times over the years and we have always enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere and all the basic necessities you need for a beach vacation. This house is clean, cozy and has a beautiful yard surrounding it. We especially enjoy the covered front porch and the upper deck for sunbathing and enjoying the views of the ocean. This house has both a gas grill and a charcoal grill for cooking your catch of the day. The owners are very helpful with anything you might need and they are located right across the street. We had a seafood boil one night and they brought over a large stock pot for us to use. This is not a million dollar beach house,but in fact it is one of the original beach houses in nags head and so it has all the basics you might need. The beds are comfortable, the kitchen is a good size and clean, it has a large laundry room and a decent size living room. Highly recommend for a small family or a small group of friends. We will definitely be back again next year and many more in the future.

Nice location but not worth the money

The location of the cottage is very convenient, but be aware it is a crash pad. It's bare bones as stated in previous reviews. No linens, toilet paper, dish or hand soap, no sponge, and no trash bags. The bathroom shower curtain liner was dirty, one of the beds was filled with sand upon arrival, and all the mattresses are old and uncomfortable. The check in process was convenient and communication with the property manager was easy, but be realistic about your expectations. This isn't a luxury rental.

Should have asked more questions ahead of time.

First stay anywhere. No towels, linens, or tp anywhere in house. I should have asked ahead of time, but a heads up would have been nice. Great location for fishing and close access to beach. Not comfortable to sleep in or hang out in. If you have some buddies and you're here on a fishing trip then this is the place for you. Family...no. Sadly some mishaps happened as soon as we got there. I know stuff happens, but it was a hinderence. Ceiling was leaking first mornimg after we got there. AC was leaking and soaked everything we had on the table. Dryer was broken. Plenty of dishes and pans. Dog friendly which we greatly appreciated. Back grass area was beautiful. I feel bad leaving a bad review because the guy was nice but that place was not worth the money we paid. It was a learning experience for us. Always pack your own linens, towels, TP, trash bags, and check all appliances when you walk in.

Good location, hard to rest

This is a very short walk from the beach (right across the street) and very clean. The property manager is very responsive. The internet is fast and I was able to get work done. The kitchen supplies (pots/baking trays) were probably the most bare bones out of any place I've ever rented in OBX. Literally one pot, one tray, and no can opener. Plenty of plates and cutlery though. The beds are the most uncomfortable beds I (and my family) have slept on ever. It made it so none of the 4 of us slept much the whole time. Also, this property is very close to a dumpster, so flies start to zoom through the door as soon as it's open. And twice in the week the garbage truck showed to to empty the dumpster at around 4:30am and woke everyone up. Also the outdoor plastic chairs are broken on the upper level so you can't sit there. So, the property is great other than no one slept all week, lol.

Not a good beach experience at all!!

I will never use Vrbo again!! The very worst experience I have ever had at the Outer Banks!! Communication with Vrbo and the host was horrible!! I will go through a more reputable company next time I rent a house!!

Perfect off-season getaway!

The property was perfect for my family of 4 and our small dog. Beds were comfy and rooms were clean and inviting. Beach access was convenient and very close. We really enjoyed the quiet of the empty pier parking lot next door and across the street - the atmosphere is most likely livelier in-season.
