1105 River Club, on Sea Island, has it all—the best water views, spectacular sunsets, and a prime location on Sea Island—mere blocks from the ocean, Cloister, Beach Club, Spa & Fitness Center and Tennis Courts. This coastal home was completely renovated, furnished, and professionally decorated in 2020. This 4 bedroom, 4 bathroom safe haven provides the peace and solitude of life on the water, with access to word-renowned, five star amenities including dining and activities, as well as 5 miles of pristine private beach.

This peaceful, quiet location on Sea Island makes for the ideal vacation—for couples and families alike. While the home provides for the perfect reprieve from a busy or stressful life, it features all the modern amenities a family could need—high speed internet with Wifi access throughout the entire house, internet enabled flat screen tv, and high end, luxurious features throughout the home. This vibrant beach house is known for the incredible marsh and river view. The patio seating leads to an expansive back yard, which connects to the river. This haven is well-appointed with gorgeous palm trees, exceptional landscaping, unparalleled views, and plenty of dolphin sightings. The sun sets over the Black Banks river, producing incredible sunsets and the ideal setting for drinks, an outdoor dinner, or an ideal grilling setting on the patio.

The lower level features a spacious, open floor plan that gives way to the breathtaking marsh views and spectacular sunsets. Enter the house from one of two entryways—the traditional foyer that is adjacent to the staircase that leads to the second floor, or the casual foyer with plenty of storage space and a quaint, bright office space. Both entrances lead to an expansive, bright, open kitchen that flows into the dining room and living area. The great room is accentuated by a beautiful fireplace, flanked by built in bookshelves and completed with comfortable designer furniture—including sofas, chairs, and a wonderful seating space. The dining table easily seats 8 people, and there is an extra table / seating arrangement off to the side—providing the perfect spot for a puzzle or family game night. This table also doubles as a kid’s table if adults prefer a separate dining table at any time. The completely renovated, modern kitchen is well-equipped with high-end stainless steel appliances, marble countertops and bar-stool seating for 4 people, a fully stocked kitchen with all the equipment, cookware, dishes and utensils you could need, and even a Keurig. The layout of this space provides the perfect atmosphere for cooking and entertaining, as well as relaxing and enjoying tv or soaking up the gorgeous views. As an added bonus, a new Peloton Bike is adjacent to the living area and available for the perfect workout with an inspirational marsh view.

The lower level includes a fun, modern bunk room that features a twin bed on the top, full size bed on the bottom, and full-size trundle bed. The ensuite bathroom that includes a shower and tub makes this the ideal room for children, or even a nanny. Outside, bikes are available in the two-car garage for guests to use while exploring Sea Island. The garage also includes a full size washer and dryer.

The second level includes three beautifully designed and decorated bedrooms—all with ensuite, newly renovated full bathrooms. The spacious Master Suite features a King Bed, and an adjoining private office. Both the Master Bedroom and Office feature large windows and tons of natural sunlight, highlighting the stunning views and incredible sunsets. The ensuite bathroom includes a new marble shower. The second upstairs bedroom includes a Queen Bed and ensuite bathroom with a tub and shower. The final upstairs bedroom serves as a large second master suite, with a King Bed and ensuite full bathroom that includes a marble shower. This beach house includes everything couples or a family could need—from fully updated amenities and furniture, to well-designed rooms, great gathering spaces, and some of the best views Sea Island has to offer.

Pet Policy: Up to 2 dogs, weight up to 70 pounds each are permitted. A non-refundable, $150 deposit per pet is required.

Option to Purchase Sea Island Temporary Membership Cards:
The home owner has a Sea Island Membership, thus Temporary Membership Cards can be arranged and purchased for renters, which grants them access to all Sea Island Amenities and gives them the ability to book activities, dining, spa, golf, etc with Sea Island. If the guest chooses to purchase temporary membership cards, the guest is charged the fees, as shown below:

Adults (26+): $175 per adult, per day
Children Under 26: $60 per child per day. Children are considered under 26 years old, not married, immediate children. (2 free children’s cards are provided per family, with the purchase of at least 1 adult card, per family that day.)

Guests can pick and choose who in the group gets cards, and on what days. **Guests are required to purchase cards for consecutive days, no skipping dates in between (ie has to be the 6th - 8th, not the 6th and 8th.)** Please reach out if you have questions or want more information on how temp member cards work.

Example: A Family of 4 with 2 adults and 2 children under 26 will be charged the following on a daily basis for the days that they opt to purchase temp member cards: $175 per adult, per day and nothing for their 2 children, so their total would be $350 per day. If a family has 3 children under 26, the 3rd child would incur an additional $60 per day charge, for total of $410 per day to have temporary membership cards for everyone. Children under 7 are free and cannot have their own card. Children can receive their own card once they turn 7.

Location is excellent. Home is not well maintained. Definitely not up to the price. It cannot sleep 10 adults unless 4 are sardined into one room with no closet. One upstairs bedroom has no windows. Sliding door to the back patio isn’t functional. Water temperature and pressure is subpar. Kitchen is missing basic equipment. Towels need to be replaced and there are not enough.

Positives: Great location with a beautiful view of the river. Best drawer and closet space of any rental property we have ever stayed in, except for the downstairs bedroom. Negatives: Looks much more inviting in the photos than it is. There is something about the stark white walls, overly white LED lights and uncomfortable rugs that make it way less appealing than it could be. Black out shades are desperately needed in the bedrooms with windows. The small patio in back is fine but could be way better. The refrigerator was very clean but did not smell fresh.

Mildew/Mold

The photos in the listing are deceiving. The house was not well maintained - curtains in primary bedroom were falling off, rugs in kitchen were stained and dirty. There was mildew and mold in the windows, on the curtains and doors, in the cracks of the refrigerator. The house had a strong musty/mildewy smell and now all of our clothes and hair smell that way upon leaving. When we contacted the property manager she tried to justify our findings by saying “it’s mildew not mold” and sent people to just clean the windows. We ended up moving to the Sea Island Resort and highly recommend booking a cottage through them which are all resort managed properties. We are so puzzled why this listing has good ratings.. stay away!

Awesome!

This condo was better than advertised. The host was on point communicating with us and just made the whole transaction super easy. The condo was larger than we expected and the view of the river and marsh land was beautiful. The entire place was super clean and smelled real nice. The beds were super comfortable and everything else was very well kept. The condo is set in a very nice neighborhood just a couple blocks from Cloisters Resort. We enjoyed walking around the neighborhood admiring the beautiful homes. You almost felt like you were on a movie set, it's that nice!! At the opposite end of the street was a path to the beach which we visited a couple times. What a great experience and everything exceeded our highest expectations. When we go back to the area I will book my stay around the availability of this condo. You just have to see for yourself.

I am a property manager for the wonderful family that owns this home. Growing up in Atlanta, I used to vacation in the Golden Isles and fell in love with the area. Following college, I moved to Saint Simons and have lived here for 5 years. Having worked for Sea Island for 4 years doing event planning with corporate groups, I know Sea Island and the greater area like the back of my hand, and love it more every day! I'm happy to share some of my favorite things to do in the area and answer any questions.
