This quiet rancher sits right off of HWY 52 in Pinnacle, NC. The property is connected to Pilot Mountain State Park on two sides. PMSP trails can be accessed from here. Right down the road, there is a river access to the Yadkin River and horseback riding trails. Hanging Rock state park and the Dan River are only a few miles away. The historic town of Pilot Mountain is down the road. Enjoy the beautiful view of the mountain and the feel of being isolated while close to wineries, vineyards, restaurants and activities. The home has an open floor plan with two bedrooms and 1 bath.

Cozy House at the base of Pilot Mountain

Cozy house we used as a base camp for exploring Pilot Mountain, Mount Airy, and Hanging Rock State park. Enjoyed our stay and property manager did a great job of staying in contact.

This house was in a wonderful location to so many hikes in the Area. It has all the basics you need and was very clean. Drew was always quick to respond to any questions we had! Can't wait to go back again!

Everything was great about this place, and the description of the house and location was spot-on. I was there for 2 nights and I used it as a writing retreat, so I did not take advantage of all the amenities, but otherwise I would have done a lot more hiking, which is super accessible from the house.

Hiking and antiquing girls trip

The house is very cute and clean and comfortable It was perfect for the four of us and our two pups on a girls hiking weekend! It had what we needed and was conveniently located for hiking Pilot Mountain and visiting Mount Airy and a couple of nearby vineyards. Drew was very nice and accommodating and check in was quick and easy! Would definitely stay at this property again.

Perfect location

We had a great time staying at this location. It’s close enough to Winston-Salem and yet remote enough to allow you to enjoy the natural surroundings of pilot. The outside of the property building could use some cleaning up and some repairs but inside was just fine. We would certainly consider it Again.

Great place to relax with views and access to Pilot Mountain

Our favorite asset was the porch with rocking chairs and a clear view of Pilot Mountain. The interior is obviously remodeled with tasteful interior decoration, modern appliances, comfortable mattresses, etc. The host is very responsive, instructions regarding check-in/out clear and simple. Restaurants are about 15 minutes' drive. We celebrated our anniversary at JoLo's winery, which is upscale with beautiful surroundings and great food. Best of all-this property is pet friendly (which is required for us) with a large back yard, and we enjoyed hiking the easy-moderate trails of Pilot Mountain.

What a view!

We loved everything about this little slice of heaven! Having Pilot Knob literally in the backyard was amazing. The stars at night were breathtaking as well as the sunrises and sunsets. The house is clean and well maintained and so cozy you feel at home immediately. It had everything we needed. We wish we could have stayed longer! We will definitely return.

House was perfect!! Host was great! Came down to visit family, had everyone over to have a bonfire and pizza from our famous pizza king in indiana! House was cute clean and beautiful view!! Would recommend to anyone wanting some peach’s me quiet. Our pup loves the yard he had zoomies for days lol

Well maintained property is a beautiful and peaceful location!

The unit was exactly as described and had all the amenities and needs for our stay. We were able to extend our stay from 2 to 4 nights very easily. Communication with host was phenomenal. Check in and out process is very efficient. Such a beautiful and peaceful location. Amazing sunrises and sunsets. We were able to relax and enjoy and even had a fire on the last evening. The starry sky was spectacular! I highly recommend this property and the host. We are looking forward to our next trip to the area!

Tranquil getaway

The interior was very clean and nicely furnished. The view from the terrace is a 10. Our one negative is that the outside windows needed cleaned of cobwebs and bugs, including the front porch which was screened in and in much need of sweeping and removing cobwebs. Might want to update photo of terrace with the pool included. Overall very relaxing getaway.

Great location near Pilot Mountain and Hanging Rock State Parks. Gas station just down the street and dining not too far. House is very nice inside with cool AC, full washer/dryers, decent kitchen and comfortable accommodations. (Note-there is no pool, but a dirty stock tank on the porch. I suspect there was a plan to convert it into one, but it was non-operational during our stay. Not an issue for us.) BTW-Lots of wildlife out back. Fun to watch the eagles, rabbits and deer.

First experience with VRBO

My stay in Pinnacle was very pleasant. My experience with VRBO not so much. I was not expecting the hassle involved in trying to communicate with the property owner/manager. I do not understand why the exact address of the property cannot be known until a day or so before the visit. The owner had an important message for me about check in. VRBO emailed the information to me. However, I was driving at the time and could not know that I had a message. And I could not get into my quarters. VRBO seems to make things complicated.

Somewhat disappointing.

The inside was nice and clean but the patio and front porch were not. Inside one of the kitchen drawers was broken and whatever was in the drawer became unusable. If I had known there was a dehumidifier running that collected about two gallons of water and had to be emptied daily I would not have chosen the property. The photo shows rocking chairs viewing Pilot Mountain from a patio but not so. The outside furniture looked like someone set it out by the road for trash pick up and the owner grabbed it for his renters. I got a real bad feeling when we arrived and I saw the front gutter was falling off the house. I loved the location but we will find somewhere else next visit.

You are getting a clean and renovated space with a breath taking view for an affordable price. I love my pets as well as understand how much others love theirs as well. We are welcoming to your fur family members, but this does not affect the cleanliness for those of you that may not have pets or have allergies. We have so much around the home while being able to provide you with a feeling seclusion.

The view of Pilot Mountain is amazing! It is in the back yard and the sunsets and sunrises peak of the knob and are breath taking.
