You pick the pace while staying in our relaxing, comfortable, beachfront, and clean/sanitized condo home. We are pleased to share our vacation home offering casual beach living on the Gulf, for a wonderful, restful vacation. Island Sands is located on the quieter west end of Okaloosa Island. A wide variety of entertainment and shopping are nearby.

The views of the sand and surf from sunrise to every marvelous sunset are spectacular from the beach, 2nd floor private balcony and through the patio doors and west facing corner living room windows.

Our beach is not crowded. The complex has just 27 units. Two beach chairs and a beach umbrella are set up each day between March 1 and October 31, at no charge to our guests. Enjoy a long walk on the pristine white sand beach next to emerald waters. Build a sandcastle, read a book, or rent a kayak on premise. Take a trip into Destin to zip line, enjoy a pub, rent a boat, golf, or take a fishing charter. Your vacation at your speed. Enjoy our bit of paradise inside, outside, or on the balcony. We fell in love with Island Sands a few years ago and are sure you will too. We always have a fantastic trip when we vacation at the beach and visit Destin

Island Sands #209 has a private entrance up one flight of stairs, avoiding crowded lobbies and elevators. An end unit - the living room is bright and sunny. The layouts at Island Sands are terrific with a large living room open to the full kitchen. The master bedroom has a king-sized bed and an attached half-bath. A full bathroom is located in the hallway between the kitchen and bedroom. A queen-size sleeper couch is in the living room. There are flat screen TVs in the living room and bedroom with cable TV and wi-fi. The TV in the living room is a Smart TV.

A full, well-stocked kitchen is available for those who choose to prepare their own meals. There is an in-unit washer and dryer. Grills and a bike rack are located near the pool. Bath and kitchen towels are provided. Please bring your own beach towels.

Okaloosa Island is known for its white sugar sand beaches, emerald green waters, and countless attractions. Nearby Destin is widely known as the 'world's luckiest fishing village'. Come see the beautiful island for your first time or return over and over again because it is always a good time!!

Loved this condo!! It was recently renovated and the owners did an Amazing job! Owner responded very quickly to our questions and that was so appreciated. The view is Incredible from the balcony! Such a beautiful and relaxing trip!

We enjoyed the views from the condo deck. The beach was just steps away. We spent a lot of time on the deck. The condo was nicely decorated and furnished. It was perfect and we plan to return soon.

The unit was very, very clean. The Host was easy to communicate with and quickly responded to any communication. The mattress and pillows were exceedingly comfortable and that says a lot with my bad back. The view was wonderful. It was a very relaxing week and I would not hesitate to stay here again!

Not only do the Gulf Coast Waters sparkle, but so does this place! It truly is a gem. It was sparkling clean, tastefully decorated, and right on the beautiful beach. The owners have have taken care to make their place welcoming, and to equip it with everything one needs for a pleasant stay. No worries! Morning coffee and evening toasts on the balcony were gifts. We especially enjoyed the quiet private beach and the beach service that was provided! Our stay was a blessing and wonderful. Simply fantastic!

Couldn't Ask For More!

We had such a lovely time at this condo. Communication with the host was excellent before, during and after our stay. The place was great - couldn't ask for a better location right on the beach, clean and comfy to wind down after a long day in the sunshine. Okaloosa Island itself was fantastic as well. Just the right amount of action while still being calm and relaxed. We had a wonderful time!

The Beach!

Loved how close the condo was to the beach. The unit is updated and had everything we needed. I must say the bed was just amazing! I have 10 fusions in my back, I need a firmer bed. The one in this condo is the best I have slept on! I would highly recommend staying at this condo. The owners are wonderful people and great to work with.

Great Stay

We had a wonderful stay in this condo. The location was nice & it was nice not to have a long haul to the beach. The added beach chair service was a plus. The host was amazing & attentive. No problems arose during our stay but I’m confident if one were to, Judy would have been on it right away. I would recommend to anyone & look forward to coming back!

Beach Vacay

Overall was a great stay. Wonderful condo. Love the location. Very convenient access to beach. And loved that the unit was on the end. Could use more than 2 washcloths, had to do laundry daily - not a complaint but need to notify guests to bring more linen or provide more Did not realize that there was no elevator until arriving. We made it fine but guests should make note of this in case of handicaps, etc. will be staying here again!!! Thank you for sharing the condo with us we loved it overall.

Relaxing !!! Birthday

We enjoyed our 4 night stay , it was my husband’s bday. Condo was just as pictured the balcony was my favorite area , my husband enjoyed beach chairs everyday . Allowing son & daughter inn law to come down one night was so appreciated they didn’t want to leave Sunday ! Mrs . Judith thank you again for allowing them to stay, condo had all we needed kitchen stocked, W&D a plus ++ coffee pots ! Easy entering with coded door, parking space for 209 , We had a very relaxing time !

May Getaway

The condo was very clean and comfortable & had everything we needed for our vacay. It was decorated/furnished perfectly for an Oceanside stay! The 2nd floor allowed for an awesome view of the Gulf & the balcony furniture was very nice as well. We also enjoyed having the beach service included. There were plenty of restaurants to enjoy in the area as well.

We are hopeful that you will enjoy our beach home. This condo on Okaloosa Island is a favorite place for us to relax and enjoy! When we awake in the morning we just say 'WOW' when looking out through the sliding glass doors at the Gulf of Mexico and each evening there is a wonderful sunset that is viewed from either the beach, from the living room or the balcony. Several times we have rented at this condo complex and fell in love with this small, friendly location. Now we are delighted to be owners and to share this little piece of paradise with guests.

At our northern residence we live an active life of work and outdoor recreation. We also enjoy spending time with family, friends, and church/charitable activities.

Okaloosa Island is quiet, beautiful and close to many activities. The complex is small, friendly, well-maintained, and our corner unit offers privacy. Island Sands offers the convenience of an exterior staircase so there is no waiting for elevators. The door to our unit #209 is set off from other entrances.

Inside the unit is comfortable, housekeeping is great at keeping it clean, and with the open floor plan there are great views even from the kitchen. The convenience of a full kitchen and washer/dryer make this condo easy living for a short or longer stay.
