Quaintness with a View

This apartment is cozy, yet it offers a view of both the canal and the ocean. The location is also very convenient, especially for the rental price. We recommend Monkeypod and House Without a Key for dining and libations. Signature has a delicious butterfish dinner for a fine dining option. All are a walkable distance. There are no facial tissues or K cups (K1 and K2 fit the machine) at the apartment, and the coffee pods were not available for purchase, so I'd bring your own, if you prefer to not get coffee from either shop in the lobby.

Great place close to Waikiki

Stayed here for a few nights before going on a cruise. It's proximity to Waikiki was perfect and we could walk to everything we needed. The building itself is older and could use some updating but the unit was updated and clean. We had the smaller unit but it was fine for just the two of us. Friends had the larger unit, with a king bed. I would choose that one next time. Definitely check out Maleko's coffee and bakery in the lobby. Delicious for a quick breakfast and the people were fantastic and friendly. We also at the on site restaurant and the food there was good.

Clean Affordable Place

The only gripe I had was that the parking lot is cash only and it’s 40 dollars a day when I was originally quoted 35. Other than that pretty fantastic stay. There was a view of the ocean and the Ala Wai from our room and snorkel equipment! Me and my partner are the kind of people who like to use lodging as a place to crash at the end of the day as we’re mostly out and about during the day. The checkin process was smooth, instructions were clear and it was about as much as I expected.

Our place is located just off the beautiful Ala Wai canal. You're only 2 blocks from the famous beaches of Waikiki. You will be in walking distance to a multitude of restaurants, bars and world class shopping. Quite a few grocery stores are nearby to stock up on goods for your kitchenette. Come enjoy your holiday and live centrally in Waikiki. Make use of the fitness center in the lower lobby of the Hawaiian Monarch or go for a scenic walk/run along the Ala Wai or Waikiki Beach.

If you're in Hawaii for a short stay in Waikiki, you won't be needing a car. You can walk easily to the beach, great restaurants and a plethora of stores for shopping. If you do want to get out and explore Oahu's natural beauty and wonders, or to hike, there is parking available on premises ($30/24 hours) with in/out privileges. You can even just rent a car for a day - ask about the rent-a-car businesses in the lobby - 808 Smart Cars or Honolulu Auto Rentals. Check rates at HawaiiSmartCarRentals.com. Rent from them and get a discounted parking rate of $20 per day. There is also hourly parking available ($3 per 30 min) if you need to park for just a short time.
