NEW FOR 2022, we added a 20 x 10 pool and 2023 replaced both HVAC systems! Three level beach house 4 houses from the Ocean. 6 bedrooms with 2 master suites. 2 queen bed rooms 1 double twin room and one 4 bed bunk room so sleeps up to 14 people. New to rental market the house has been renovated with new paint, all king and Queen beds and 2 twins have new memory foam mattresses. New chair height anti clog toilets in every bathroom. Comes with 6 beach bicycles and beach chairs and toys for renters use. Bright sunny decks with view of ocean from crow's nest. 6 outdoor polywood Adirondack chairs for relaxing in the sun. Highly sought after Section O of Ocean Sands this house is 1 over from the resident/guest only community tennis & pickleball courts and next to the community pool which renters will have access to during their stay. House has 8 person hot tub on 2nd level. Washer and dryer on entry level. Outdoor shower to clean off after a great day at the beach. Easy Parking available for 6 cars. Also 2 flag pole brackets so bring your flag poles to display with pride what's important to you. Roughly 3100 sq ft of living space.
Property has outside cameras on the ground floor for security purposes. No indoors cameras. Can't wait to host you at Second Chance beach house!

Spoke with manager onsite before chexk in, gave us a quick tour, alot of information on local eats and site seeing. Owners are quick to respond to messages. Will stay again in the future

Great vacation home

After several outer banks vacations our whole family agreed this was the best place yet! We had plenty of room for everyone. Kids loved the pool. Close to beach grocery stores and restaurants. The home owner and property mgr were quick to respond to any questions we had and very courteous. We would definitely stay here again and recommend to others!

Excellent location, great caretaker!

The location is wonderful - less than one block from beach access, halfway between grocery stores, and real close to Timbuk II. The caretaker is very nice and responsive and was always available to go the extra step to resolve any issues. Highly recommended!

Family Trip

We had a wonderful stay at this property. Everything was as described and communication with owner was easy. We definitely will be back as location to beach and amenities of the house are perfect for our group.

Awesome house and location!

Our stay at Big Bird (family's nickname for it) was truly awesome. The house is in a wonderful proximity to both the beach and the various activities/grocery stores in Corolla. Hong was very responsive with any questions leading up to the trip and Andy, the property manager treated us like kings when we got there...he's the best! Highly recommend booking this property!

2024 vacation

House was well kept and great location to the beach. The property Manager (Andy) was very thorough in explaining all details of the house. Being able to use the community pool until we could check in was awesome and kept the kids entertained.

Wonderful week

The house is gorgeous, and it had absolutely everything you would want - easy walk to the beach, beautiful hot tub, and a pool that the kids loved. The owners and their manager could not have been more helpful. I highly, highly recommend this house.

Wonderful family time!!

So close to EVERYTHING!!! Short walk to ocean, shopping not far. Take plenty of supplies with you, shopoing at food lion is the best! Bedrooms have access to all the decks, LOVED THAT! Andy was such a Great help!! Thanks so much for a Wonderful family vacation!!

Outstanding Family Vacation

Beautiful house with awesome amenities. Location was short walk to nice beach and wonderful community pool. On site pool was wonderful for the kids to take a quick dip. Minor hot tub issue that the owner responded immediately to remedy. Will plan to return.

Family vacation

Our stay at Ocean Sands was perfect! The house was just as listed, very easy access to the beach, had toys, bikes for all to enjoy. The pool was perfect for after beach and the hot tub was enjoyed by everyone! We had 12 people and plenty of room together or alone time. Decks were wonderful to enjoy as well. We would recommend this house and will return if the opportunity presents. Thank you for wonderful family time and memories.

Nice house, great location

Check in was simple and owner very responsive as he immediately addressed an issue with the air condition!! The WiFi was a bit slow, the kitchen lacked basic equipment ( measuring cups & spoons), and the basketball hoop fell off, but otherwise we had a wonderful time! We took advantage of the amenities, like the bikes, hot tub and the tennis courts! Definitely recommend this location!!!

We are happy you had a great time and enjoyed our amenities but sorry you didn't find the measuring cups and spoons. They are in the corner lazy Susan cabinet and we would have been happy to direct you if you had asked. We have the fastest 5G internet available at the beach. Perfect Week in Corolla

Our stay at Second Chance was lovely. The house was the perfect fit for our group, located a hop, skip and a jump from the beach making it very easy to get excited toddlers from the house to the sand. The house was clean and provided everything we needed for a perfect getaway. The owner, Hong, went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and enjoyed our stay and provided quick responses to any questions or requests I had throughout the week. We'd love to return in the future as long as the house fits our families!

Great besties Beach Vacation!

We had a great experience at 2nd chance ! It was in an awesome little neighborhood nook and a super easy walk to the beach. We had 3 familes and no problem with space to play, park, or sleep. We all loved the pool and really had a great experience. Hong was super responsive to all of our questions and requests before and during our stay ! We have already started looking for next year !!

Wellow House

My 3 year old grandson loved the Wellow House (what he called it) he did not want to leave. We had a great time. Wish there weren’t so many steps to beach with little ones (not owners fault). Plenty of deck and pool seating everything you need for the beach and more. Only thing is needs more cookware (steam pot), large utensils (serving spoons) and big bowls with lids. Water pressure is ok. Beds in most rooms absolutely fantastic, except 2nd floor king and one of the queens. Would highly recommend

Wonderful property & Location

This house was perfect for our family vacation (6 adults/7 kids). The location was phenomenal, 3 houses to the beach, one block to the community pool. Beautiful property, well kept & had everything you need including pool chairs, boogie boards, bicycles. Kitchen was fully equipped with all necessities including multiple coffee units, (pot & Keurig). Bedrooms and bathrooms were clean and good size and parking was great. Hong, Maria & Andy were very responsive to all of our needs and requests & checked in to make sure all was well. Overall A+ and it will definitely be at the top of our list for future visits.

Wonderful stay

My family and I had a wonderful stay at the 2nd chance house. The location was amazing. Just a quick walk to the beach. The house was equipped with everything you could need. There were lots of beach bicycles, beach chairs, beach toys, board games, and movies to watch. The beds were very comfortable. The only down falls were that there were no wash cloths or dish cloths included in the towel and linen rental and the front door lock did not work most days so we would have to leave a sliding door unlocked when we went out. Also the kitchen could have definitely been cleaner. The pots and pans needed a deep clean and the cabinets were rather dirty on thr inside. The coach was dirty as well. But all in all we would definitely go back smd stay again. The property manager Andy was awesome to work with.

Great Property, but Bring Essentials

The house was exactly as described, close to the water, and with a great community pool and tennis courts. The neighborhood is quiet and offers lightly trafficked roads on which to walk/run and a bike/running trail along the main drag. There are two very well stocked grocery stores within a one mile drive of the house. The property was great--spacious, well-equipped with kitchen utensils, beautiful view from the spacious balconies. The host was supremely communicative throughout the whole stay. The only issue was with the provision of essential items--the house had no toilet paper, trash bags, hand soap, laundry or dishwasher detergent, or even hand towels for the bathrooms. Our party assumed that 'linens provided' included hand towels and had to go purchase these and other essential items after our arrival.

We clearly stated what was included in terms of house supplies in the rental agreement and even provided initial starter supplies of TP, paper towel roll and trash bag. It's not customary for rentals to come with these items and it's the renters responsibility to bring what they need. We provide clean sheets and towels for each guest.

A nice time

As we drove up to the property and notice window AC units, a bit of apprehension spread over our group. However, we were met by the property manager Andy who explained that the central air unit needed repairs and the parts would not be available until midway through our stay. The owner had him install window units to increase our comfort but the units needed to be placed in the bedrooms, not the living room as we spent most of the daylight time outside. The good news is that the AC was repaired a day sooner than expected and sleeping comfort was restored. The place was clean and arranged as advertised. We had plenty of room for our party of 11, and we could all sit at the dining table for meals together. The hike over the dune was a bit of a challenge with beach paraphanalia but next time we will know. Would definitely stay here again.

2nd chance

The property was great except the AC wasn't working. The owner did what they could.: Service call on Sunday and had the manager bring window ACs. The tech couldn't remedy the problem. We were pretty hot until the AC could be replaced on Wednesday. We still had only the wall units upstairs until we left on Saturday. The lock didn't work so we couldn't lock up when we left. Again the owner did what they could. The manager put a new door knob with key on.
